I remember. how did we even send dumps back then maybe an email i guess its an attachment i have a rage 2 agp gpu yes this is a rage 2c the rage series is very strange to me because like them they changed the scheme of names many times, this came out before the first geforce before the first radion at least okay what's next? real time hardware monitor oh yes we can monitor our system, that's the unchecked task manager alt delete oh that's not like that, I don't see anything I really had to do back then, no problem. didn't cause a big problem with difficult device manager performance, yeah now this UI tweak I never saw in the past so maybe there's something here, there's no resource meter that seems to be there, I got it right, I mean, it's not a great performance monitor. but it's there who is monitoring our system right here on a monitor, okay, come on, this is the very early version of our modern task manager, so in our file system we can see the amount of data that is read or They write to the memory manager how much memory is allocated. and we can see that that made the CPU work a little bit to show that oh yeah you can connect to another computer to log information from that computer, yeah this is actually quite useful, it's rarely used because you weren't doing a lot of tasks multiple because Windows 98 was unstable, what's all this?

We're keeping Dennis here, we're going to play Siv, yeah, we're really living the retro life here. Gdi resources, I don't know what. a gdi is, I know you need a deeper background, but we face if I could just get to the taskbar, it's a barrier that stops me. I've probably clicked like a hundred times on a frozen screen and I know that clicking on a frozen screen only makes it worse, so let's assume game.exe runs.

Oh, I love commanding Cocker. This will probably be the MS-DOS version, although yes, it is a DOS window. DOS games have no concept of drivers or in fact the problem is that the drivers are with the game developer so in order for any kind of thing to work we need to configure it first. This setup actually has a pretty good sound card selection, sometimes they can be auto detected but many the time you had to choose now none of these say crystal but the crystal card is compatible with Sound Blaster Pro or Pro 2 .So I'm going to go ahead and go into that now we can run the game and we'll actually get audio.

I wish this HUD didn't take up like 60 of the screen. You can see how the textures warp. Wow. The pretty messy scale stuff looks very far away from you on the minimap and then turns out to be very close. The terrain is a bit unpleasant. This is from those days when 3D was still something new and how exactly? Rendering textures relative to the camera at one time wasn't an entirely difficult and fast thing to do, but doing it properly like we do now costs a lot in terms of computational power, oh my god, except I don't know where. the walls just appear right in front of you and then you die.
This is an interesting experience and that fog that forms in them is also quite interesting, it's like a wavering, whereas normally you would get a banding effect, instead it's hard to measure. If you can really step over something, oh and I'm dead, okay, if you roll over, you die, what's that?
