The Ultimate Minecraft 1.20 Guide To Fighting The Wither

Apr 10, 2024
Withers has the best loot of any mob in Minecraft Nether Stars, the critical ingredient of beacons, but it is difficult to beat or even summon this mob, so I will explain everything about it and how to easily defeat the Wither boss in this

guide

. it doesn't spawn, it is summoned and so to get the

wither

you need to find the ingredients for it and the first ingredient is the

wither

skeleton skulls that drop from the wither skeletons. Now these withered skeletons are only in one place and that is another stronghold and they appear. in groups of four in light levels from zero to eleven, now all the lower will almost always be at light level zero, unless let's say you put some torches or maybe some fire, you might want to remove those torches to have a higher probability.

To get cross in that area, you want to go to another fortress which is located in soul sand valley, that is because there are much less mobs that spawn in this bio normally and therefore you have chances to get other ones. Lower strength mobs, like say Zombified Pigs or Flames or Withered Skeletons are much higher now, although the item you want to get from the Withered Skeleton is the Withered Skeleton's Skull, it's much more likely that it will just throw charcoal and bones at you. and also very rarely on the stone sword, the reason for that.

The chances of these items being really common are that they drop bones and charcoal when you hit them and if you loot three, there's almost a 100 percent chance that every time you kill one you'll get at least one bone and one piece. . of charcoal, but the skull chance itself is very rare, it's only 2.5 percent if you don't kill them with looting, which means that unfortunately you would have to kill an average of 40 withered skeletons to get even one charcoal skull. withered skeleton, however, with looting those numbers changed in the Java edition, the chances increased by one percent per level of looting for a maximum of a three percent bonus, so it would be a 5.5 per % total chance of obtaining a Wither Skeleton Skull from a Wither; however, in Bedrock it is somewhat easier to obtain the Withered Skeleton. skulls with a two percent increase per loot level, meaning you have up to an 8.5 chance of having a Withered Skeleton Skull if you have a loot 3 sword, so ideally you'll want to get the highest level of looting possible before even Try to get them because, on average, without a looting sword, you would have to kill at least 120 Wither Skeletons to get enough Wither Skeleton Skulls to be able to summon them.

I like the video, subscribe to see more content like this with notifications on so you never miss an upload in the future and comment below how you like to fight Withers in Minecraft, unless you have some of the best armor and tools that you can use to fight the Wither skeletons. quite dangerous, since if it successfully hits you or hits any other mob, you will get the wither effect for 10 seconds, which can kill you completely, unlike, say, poison, but there are some tips and tricks you can try to deal with these.
the ultimate minecraft 1 20 guide to fighting the wither
The first is to remember the fact that the withered skeleton functions very similar to the enderman in the fact that it is about three blocks tall (it's not actually three blocks tall, but it's tall enough that it won't fit under no space unless it is three blocks high). So for example here the withered skeleton just can't get through this gap and we can easily kill it and for example we could go here, maybe lure them with their skeletons and then we could walk into the area we've created. Safe with this little piece of, say, the warped planks here, it could even be dirt or nether grating or whatever you want and then we can safely hit them with their skeletons without any concern, of course, that wouldn't work against, say, something. like the fire. and that's why I would suggest something like maybe warped boards or even dirt that wouldn't burn, but in general that can also help if you get hit by the withered effect of the withered skeleton, drinking a bucket of milk will remove that status effect, right? which?
Of course, it can be quite useful, just keep in mind that this will remove all your other status effects, so if you're

fighting

several of these with maybe a potion of strength, that's probably not the best idea and of course , having loot on your sword is important so that you have the highest chance of going to schools, also if you can get the knockback enchantment that is also something of great benefit because as with all mobs you can push it away more of you, which allows him to not be able to hit you, and so on, let's say. something like the withered skeleton where he can't hit you with any of his attacks unless he's very close, you could avoid taking that withered damage, especially if you're hitting him with, say, a bow, which could also be a very good weapon for try, although of course.
Of course, the looting effect would not apply, so you have to be careful with that. Okay, so you have some skulls from the withered skeletons. You will need three of them for each wilting. There is also something else we must summon in the withering and such. It's four pieces of Sole Sand or Sole Dirt, it doesn't matter which one is up to you of course, although Soul Sand is less rare and you can find Soul Sand frequently everywhere, but Soul Dirt and a large abundance of soul sand are only found in the soul sand valley, so to summon the cross we want to place four pieces of soul sand or soul earth in this kind of short T shape, then we want to place the three cross skeleton skulls on top like this and you may have noticed something that didn't summon in Wither and the reason is quite simple: we are currently in peaceful mode, so something important to know is that we don't you can summon Wither in that version.
What's really cool is that you could build the wither pattern and then change your game mode back to the way you normally play, so let's say maybe normal or hard or easy on whatever you play and you could keep that pattern there, but of course now we are in a difficult situation. The last school will be summoned on the cross, but let's say we do the pattern incorrectly like there is the right part but we have another wrong part there and let's say we place that last school we won't build it either and we might break that block. and then we can also have the illusion of having the right way, but not invoking at the current location is the only thing that really matters when invoking on the cross and I'll go over all of those methods as well as a trick to effortlessly infinitely kill weather in java also but also how to kill the wither effortlessly in the Bedrock edition since of course the weather is much more difficult there so I will start by showing the method to fight the wither underground, ideally you could do this on your strip mine this works in Bedrock or Java edition although of course all these methods will be more effective in Java edition just because Java Wither is easier of course like I said I will show a really great method. to add the bedrock later, so we just need to extract enough space for this to work and this should be enough, a three by five by three space that we're going to put in the wither and then we're going to finish. the wither with these skulls and there you can see that now its initial explosion will definitely kill you if you are close when it explodes you want to get a little further away I would suggest drinking a strength potion and a regeneration potion personally I also like strength and I like the regeneration that is elongated since it gives you enough time.
You'll also want a good sword, ideally for striking, and some golden carrots or some other really good food. Now, if you notice that the cross cannot be seen. us while hitting his tail and because we have the force effect it's actually incredibly easy to kill him, but as you see here I still have about a minute of the force and regeneration effects so you can still use this method somewhat effectively and although of course Wither breaks a lot more blocks in the Bedrock edition due to how many blocks are underground, especially in the open pit mining level, so let's say that maybe it's a negative 57 58, then it definitely shouldn't explode in any caves or anything like that if you have no caves near where you summoned it, even if you are right below your base, although of course I would suggest killing this as far away as possible, as well so now we have our bottom star and let's move on to the next method for the next method. which is basically not having a method, this is the way I assume mojing would like us to do the withering, although I don't really know and that's basically anywhere to see what happens, so let's just summon This is in this biome of peaceful plains next to a village and we will see if we can defeat it.
Some additional things that you will need to do if you are doing this type of authentic cross

fighting

experience are that you will need the three potions that you made with each one. lot with that regen and also strength and you'll also want a bow with power five and at least two stacks of arrows so we're going to summon this and like last time we just want to get far enough away that you won't die from that explosion and you can actually notice here how the horizon of the sky turns brown or reddish when the weather demands it, so we're going to want to start by hitting it with our bow, but the initial damage we're going to take a lot is that wither effect and that's why you must be very careful not to take too many hits with the heads and run as much as possible, in addition to eating as many golden carrots as you can because More or less getting that high saturation to regenerate your wounds will be the only thing that will save you and let me drink my potion of strength and my regeneration potion before dying.
Wither will try to target other mobs if he is not targeting. you and when you kill them, he will drop a withered rose. You may notice that now might be a good time to try to hit the wither, but once we've dealt him damage, he'll start targeting us again. Now the regeneration effect is basically the only thing that will save you from the Wither effect, so you have to be very careful to keep your potions stocked so you don't die incredibly quickly and also something as simple as hiding under trees can make the Wither not see you and therefore he won't hit you, but if you're on the Java edition, something that makes Java's climate harder for bedrock to wither is the fact that his health will regenerate.
Milk can often be a good idea too as it will get rid of the withering effect, but if you are using strength and regeneration then it is definitely not a good idea and if you are very close to withering, try using a sword, the withering effect you get is incredibly long lasting and so potentially using a lot of milk cubes instead of strength and regeneration is also a good method if you have a slam sword , those will deal a lot of damage to the cross and if you don't get hit directly by the cross skulls, you also won't get that withering effect and because the cross skulls don't have a huge amount of damage that they actually incur , as long as you have those milk cubes to boost your immunity to the withering effect, then you could definitely be fine. from that and now it will have a sort of glowing look around it and you can see that on the bedrock at that stage the weather would summon some withered skeletons around it, basically the only way to kill it now is with a sword and you have You have to be very careful at this stage as of course you have to be very close to the cross to kill it, so for example you may have a lot of close calls like I'm having now, that's when the golden carrots are really useful. and then for example we should probably try the strength and regeneration method now and with one last golden carrot we should be able to run in and finish the wither, so a good trick is to do critical attacks when fighting the wither and it must be done.
Getting very close to him and therefore killing him quickly at this stage is very vital, as you saw he already used up most of my health, but now we have killed the Wither and we have the nether star, so to do the method of Java edition for the Wither, which interestingly, also used to work on bedrock, but was recently patched. You will need five obsidian and of course the ingredients for your weather. To start, make sure you are facing west and looking at the front bed of the portal. For example, here we're facing east, so we're going to start this on the other side because, of course, the way wethe cross is generated if we are looking in a different direction it will not work correctly and you can check if it is facing east. in your f3 menu you're going to want to mine under the end portal so you're going to want to mine up a ladder until you're just three blocks under the bedrock right here so you can see that's where we are and once you've done that I want to mine all the directions around here, three blocks up until you see a piece of final stone in the corner, since of course the final fountain is supposed to look circular, the corners are not bedrock, so let's continue.
Going back over here and you can see, we also don't see the bedrock in that corner and we're going to extract this completely. A long time ago I made a video that said you could do the same thing when it was only two blocks high. and you can, but if you have it three blocks lower like this, it will make the wither lower, which makes your world spawn safe if you build things there, so once we place the subsidiary t that's on the center here and you want the center of that obsidian t to be right in the center of the final portal, so you can see here, there are about three blocks here, so let's say that's the center and then the center here is aligns with this block, so now that we've built that, again make sure it's facing west when it's. doing this or you will regret it, unfortunately place the three pieces of soul sand like this, without placing anything on this last piece of obsidian, then take these three wither skeleton skulls and place them on each of these blocks and a wither will summon.
If you want to get away from the weather a little bit since of course its explosion will still hurt you quite a bit, so we'll come back here and the weather will explode and you'll notice that we can't see the withering here. The portal here like we made it a little higher, now we can help this process, but it usually makes the wither go up a little higher at the end of the portal, although of course you can also see how easy it is to kill it that way. manner. but if you go up here you can notice that the cross is a little higher there, so any method works, you could even summon more cross here so they just have a bunch of cross dying, but anyway there goes the last hit and we have killed Wither and that's the easy method to kill Wither in Java that I'm sure most players would do and now for the easy method in Bedrock Edition, before you do this incredibly easy method for Bedrock, you'll need two extremes.
Gateways spawn every time you defeat the final dragon. We've done it once and we'll do it a second time by summoning it again with four of the final crystals. Technically, you could do this before re-summoning at the end. Dragon again, but the problem is that then you wouldn't have a way to get to the outer end islands or basically the vast majority of the end, so when we destroy one of these a little bit, it won't matter and we have the second one to use. So once we've defeated the ender dragon for the second time and the door to the second ending has opened, we want to collect a three block locator map of any type, but I'm just going to choose gold.
You want a more difficult kind of block and I. like gold because it's very visible you'll want a piece of crimson or warped nylon you'll want a crimson mushroom or a warped mushroom you'll need it to match the type of nylon you'll need some bone meal for that maybe two piles of cobblestones but it's definitely a block that the endermen cannot lift. You will need a pickaxe to break it as it is a temporary thing and of course you will want the ingredients to spawn on the cross for the three skeleton skulls on the cross and the sole or ground. soul sand, so the first step will be to make a ladder up here and we will use this part again, however, some of the things we built could be destroyed every time we defeat the wither, so be careful not to do that. use blocks that are too good and of course I'm just using those gold blocks for the sake of visibility now that we're a little bit close to that we want to make sure they're a little bit lower than the final gateway so maybe over here or even a little further down and then we're going to make a bridge from there, which in bedrock can be done like this, which of course is a pretty cool feature of that version.
Now we're going to want to place a couple of blocks here and place a piece of nylon and then break those blocks and place the crimson mushroom and we'll pit that mushroom and when it grows it will destroy the final entrance door and then we can basically work on getting rid of all these blocks here, okay and you can see that they are gone, as well as the final gateway. The next step is to open your location map. We are already on the right side which is the left side of the map so the top of the map is north and we want to be on the west side which means the west side is the left side and you can see we are just west of that little plus shape which is this end door, so we're going to start by placing a block under the end of the entrance door, then one coming out of there like in the corner and one really parallel to that edge block , then we're going to stack a little bit and we're going to summon on wither, so place your soul sand or only land with the first cross tail block on top of this gold block, so these three blocks here and These three heads actually go outside even where the gold blocks are and before you place them all, make sure you have an easy way to get back to the main part of the final island, since you don't want to be near it when it explodes and does all of that, so we'll place the next Withered Skeleton Skull and summon it.
You walk in and notice that it's stuck in the middle of the final entrance door. Now we want to run away as quickly as possible so as not to get hurt too much and you will notice that Wither is slowly starting to suffocate and now while he is shooting. in school it's sometimes very random and doesn't destroy many blocks, so don't do this near anything you built at the end. Now we're about halfway there and when it comes it explodes again and you can see that the Wither is now in that second stage and it's a little hard to see, but those Wither skeletons are right below where the Wither is with his swords. there and their heads and the weather will basically continue to suffocate until it completely dies and will continue to explode and just for reference I'm on hard mode so this works no matter what level of the game you're on and now it's at the end of the fight and it will do its final explosion so you just want to get a little bit away from that so you don't get hurt because all the wither skeletons are sitting there if we want to get rid of them we can break this lowest block right here and they'll just fall off and now we can basically get our way to the center of where that final entrance door was and you'll see that there's another star and so how fitting is it that you can still defeat the Wither in Bedrock Edition in a Bedrock cage and of course you can reuse this so many times whatever you want.
As many times as you want, just destroy some of the random blocks here, replace those three blocks with gold or whatever you're using, maybe cobblestones and rinse and repeat for however many times you want to kill, but anyway I hope you enjoyed this video about wilting. and

minecraft

and I'll see you next goodbye
