? Well, I always miss trends because I'm always so distracted. Many trends have passed. I realized, but I just didn't have the time or I wasn't interested at the time, that they were trending or maybe I got tired of them because they were so trendy that I just got tired of seeing them now that all these trends are dead, there are some. I want to try that's what I do in this series and I'm hot why I'm hot oh that's cold this time I'm trying pancake art I've never tried pancake art in my life I once tried to serve a heart-shaped pancake that didn't turn out well I never tried it again I have a really really bad track record with making food art oh god um really really bad I don't know why I keep trying this I'm serious. it just seems like a good idea it's two of my favorite things art and food merged it's art you can eat it's food you can create it just never seems to go down very well for me if you miss the whole pancake art trend you basically just make pancake batter , you color it in a bunch of different colors and then you use these little bottles that you draw with the pancake batter using these little bottles, it really doesn't look like anything I can think of that would be gross, so I think I've put together everything that I need this experience, let me check the recipe, okay, hello, it will make the audio sound really weird, I'm pretty sure, but okay.

The first phase, obviously, is to make the pancake batter. I feel very strange baking or cooking in this place, yes. you cook pancakes, okay now this recipe makes eight servings, does that mean eight pancakes or are we being generous and giving everyone seconds? I always overcorrect and then try to correct my overcorrection by overcorrecting. I read online that it's supposed to be consistency. of liquid ketchup, but that's very useless to me because, how am I? I do not know what that means. I know what the consistency of regular ketchup is, but you are modifying the consistency of something that is known and is still an unknown consistency. How is that useful? This could be liquid ketchup. Quite liquid. I guess in all the videos I've seen of someone making pancake art they just like to start with the already made pancake batter.

I feel like I'm behind a wall. now I have a frying pan here, things are going to get a little hot and toasty it smells funny, it smells toxic, have it on the lowest setting because we definitely don't want our babies to burn some butter in there oh it's hot okay , whatever it is fine.

The thing about pancake art is that you do the details first and then you layer them in the background, obviously the opposite of how you would paint something, so it starts with, okay, okay, start with a little outline, What the hell do I think I just got? pancake batter on my roof uh oh a piece a piece here oh no oh no oh a piece the pieces are not blender I want to make it a little fancy, well that's what I've done, turn up the heat and let this baby cook. It's unlike any pancake I've ever made before.

I think it's ready to flip, okay, I'm not too happy with the look of those sparks, they're kind of a shame, but you.

Honestly, I like it. which is like tipping I didn't do it on purpose definitely not but I like it I feel like I need to try something different now I'm going to try something a little ambitious I want to do Georgie but this is probably going to suck it starts with his face okay okay we're ready for Georgie's twist, oh oh, that's so ugly, it's shaped like a pancake, so I think we can forgive it.

Hey, from a distance it looks nice. What if I made a landscape? Okay, that's nice. silly, that's a little silly, yeah, that's a little silly, well, I'm starting to get pancake art fatigue. I still have plenty of dough left. There's only one reasonable thing to do abstract pancake art, of course, why is there a big black spot? In that, they get worse and worse. Well, Georgie's gone now I'm hungrier. Landscape anyway, time to reflect. How do I feel about pancake art? I feel like the preparation is scandalous. Make a huge amount of dough to color the dough and then put it in all the bottles when it was. I finished that and thought "ugh, that's a lot of work to do for something you're just going to eat" I don't know if it's worth it, do I hate it? No, it's just not my thing, it's not a I love the connection, I think it looks a lot more fun than it actually is, especially when you remove all the cleanup, it's not as good as it seems.
