World's Largest Coin Spinner

This is a machine that makes you spin a

better than any human. And this is a giant version of the same machine that can spin huge

coin

s and possibly even a £125 manhole cover. Take care of your fingers. Now, why would you need a machine to help you spin coins? It's because most people are very bad at spinning coins. Go. Good. 2 seconds. It's not that easy. As a test, I asked ten random strangers of all ages to spin a coin while I timed it. And these were the results. As you can see, when you average their times, it falls to an average of 6 seconds.

And yet, with coin roulette, you get a solid 14 seconds every time. And to show how cool coin roulette really is, today we're having a little competition at Crunch Labs. So while my nephews knew we were going to face each other, what they didn't know was that I wasn't building just a normal coin roulette wheel. So after the build time expired, it was time for our showdown and the big reveal. Alright, idiots. Classic Uncle Mark, everyone raise your coin on him. This was the first direction you would stack the coins. If you're lucky, you'll be able to spend five or six coins in five or six seconds. This one was even crazier, a six-shot

. And this is where we start to get into the actual firing mechanism, which is this lever that you would pull back. And somehow we took a direction. That was new and optimized for that one turn. We started moving on to Ratchets, making it the final variation, and now we're getting a little closer to where we actually ended up. Good job. You're not fired.

Thank you. Good hahaha. And so, after learning a bunch of ways not to do it with each prototype, we finally arrived at the final design, which led us here to this crucial moment. I understand. Since this one has ten times more elastic bands than yours. Our elastic bands are uh... a little reinforced. How can you remove them? I'm glad you asked! In fact, here's Josh to explain exactly how. We added more elastic bands, which made it very difficult to pull the Striker back and could no longer be done by hand. So we introduced a winch, which actually has ratchets built into it. And I guess everything went as well as expected. But since we don't quit smoking here at CrunchLabs, we came up with a slightly different approach. Three, two, one. Here we are. Go. MEGACURRENCY!
