Important Message from 30 year old painting 2- Treasures of the Mind

s ago, I painted a

painting

with an

important

message

that we should never forget. Something we should think about and carry with us in our daily lives. The

painting

is called Treasures of the Mind. And it shows two pirates with their treasure that they worked hard to get. Rowing to a small island where she will be buried in the sand to hopefully protect her. In their

mind

they have what they believe to be the most

important

treasure. And that's a box of little shiny gold coins and jewels and things like that. And that's all they know.

That is your treasure. What they don't know is that right below them, in the water, lies an entire lost civilization with more

treasures

than they could ever imagine. Treasures they had not even dreamed of. And that is the important

message

. And I wrote about it in my book Instructions for a New Life. You can only desire what you know exists. How can you want something if you don't even know it exists? If you don't even know. People spend a lot of time. Most of their lives they pursue things they were programmed to do. Because that's what they were told.

But what you know or what you were told may not necessarily be best for you. For example, how much time and energy have you spent searching for that perfect partner? That dream companion. Or a car, or a house, or a job. Or something you feel: I want the thingamajig-whizbang of 2019 because those are the ads I've been seeing. If that is. That is what I want. And then you spend all this time, money and energy chasing him. Or this person, or this job, or this house or car. And then when you understand it, you realize that person is wrong.

They have control problems. They have addictions. They have some kind of problem. That car has problems that you don't like. The house is a money pit or whatever. There are so many things you wish you had known. And then when you get it, you see something even better. Oh man, I wish I could have gotten that. I just didn't know it back then. So the next step to mastering life is to not chase what you know exists. It's leaving yourself open to what's right for you and not wasting all your energy chasing the most interesting thing out there today.

Because something better may be forming right now. Something that is in its infancy. Something that is still in its design stage. It's not ripe yet. It is still being manufactured. It's still on the other side of the world. But next

year

, it will be the best thing ever. And if you buy this year's thing and spend all your money, you won't be able to get the wonderful thing that was meant for you. It could come out next month, next year. In another country or whatever. Just know that what is right for you is being done right now.

So don't despair and look for the first thing that is available. What do you see with your eyes, or what has been spoken to you. Other people don't know what is right for you. You may not even know it. You don't need to know it, but you'll know it when you see it. You will know when it crosses your path. It may not be so when you think it is. Things usually take a little longer than we want, especially if you want it done right. So always keep this in

mind

. Sure, we want everything right now.

Sure, we want the good life. We want everything that was right for us right now. But good things take time. When you order a good meal, the chef needs time to prepare it. So always remember that it is best to live life with the mindset of being open to whatever is right for me. And not having a decision based on what you see and know right now, because you don't know everything. You don't know the great, wonderful, amazing things that are coming up around the corner. The right person for you. The right calling of life. There's a whole world out there that you don't even know about yet.

So don't go crazy over a few small metaphorical gold coins when you have a whole world of undiscovered

treasures

waiting to be discovered. Just around the corner of your life.
