is a direct interpolation of the Backstreet Boys' iconic 1999 song, “I Want It That Way,” written by pop hitmakers Max Martin and Andreas Carlsson. Supah: Absolutely, I've been a Backstreet Boys fan since I was a kid. “I Want It That Way” is one of my favorite songs. Mario sat down with Genius News to discuss “That Way.” Supah: Um, I think the song itself was recorded sometime last year, early 2019.

As for who had the idea to interpolate the Backstreet Boys? I have no idea brother. I think it was Uzi's idea. In the song, Uzi references some obscene lyrics from his verse in a leaked 2018 Supah Mario song, "Heavy Metal." Supah: "Heavy Metal" was originally Lil Keed's song...somehow people made it more of an Uzi song than a Lil Keed song? But in reality it's not anyone's song, it's everyone's song together. Next, on “That Way,” Uzi references his massive car collection with a clever double entender of snapbacks and fitted caps. Returning to the verse, the Philadelphia rapper shouts out the official new musical genre of Washington, DC and adds one of his favorite similes that he also referenced on the unreleased cut “Made It,” Shabazz PBG’s “Shells” and the Gunna song . “At The Hotel” And he rounds out the track with a slight nod to his tendency toward emotional outbursts on social media and a questionable line about killing his girlfriend, a common theme in the emo and punk rap genres. . “That Way” was removed with little notice and this was partly due to it being leaked on various leak sites under the name “Yellow Queen”.

Supah: I was one of the first people to see the leak on the Internet. // I didn't tell anyone that the song was coming out or anything. I just said, "You guys gotta stop leaking my shit, bro." How to remove that shit. And although Uzi said that his long-awaited album 'Eternal Atake' will be out soon, even Supah Mario doesn't know when it will be out. Supah: That's the honest truth, I don't think any of us really know when it's coming out. We'll have to wait and see.
