More Interesting Facts About,

pastel palette lost in los angeles pastel palette comparisons alicia archer...

I thought it was pretty funny. We have a total of eight rugs found in Los Angeles with one, two, three, five, seven, eight, sixteen total metallic shades divided. the middle between metallic and matte where we have 15 in the

pastel

palette and here they are side by side so you can see the initial

comparisons

and differences. Let's start with lax, which is the Los Angeles airport, it's a beautiful, soft aquamarine turquoise map. The consistency and let's compare it to Natasha's arie is a completely different shade but it's still a pastel and you get more color from the lighter bh of Natasha's shade but I think it also has more white in the formula because of that I think white pigments.

Make the shade drier, but that's the comparison, they are different colors, although I think they look lovely together. Next we have 90210 which is like a matte lilac pink here and we have feathers which is a lighter matte lilac pink the 405 and weho which I think means west hollywood the 405 and the wee ho 405 look more like a coral and we have a peach matte, we will compare it to bellini which is the only peach shade found in the pastel palette and is much lighter than these offerings, much more peachy. in tone while this is more coral and that Abbot Kinney more pinky can abba kinay like an orchid and why don't we get into the dreamer right away which is more of a teal leaning maybe more mint so again that's the orchid and that's the mint? excellent swatches, very soft and smooth, now let's move on to the energetic shade, which I think is the closest shade and bora bora is not a matte, it is Natasha's cream to powder formula that is lighter in consistency than a traditional matte shade, it is a more intense and energetic orchid color is more of an aqua mint, so these are all the mac

I am very excited to apply them on my eyes. I think we'll get some great pastel looking looks, although I'm sorry for Natasha's pastels in general. It leans more towards light pastel and I think because they put more white pigment in the shadow formula to give that shade, whereas I feel like the LA shadows are more like medium tone pastels which could be a plus , especially if you are deeper than me, these colors might look more pastel on you, but someone else has brought up a great point where these colors might look more neon than pastel on your skin tone, so it's interesting to highlight those nuances to help you decide what color shadow palette.
It will be better for you Malibu lovely like the tangerine metallic here and I go straight to Melrose we also have the purple metallic the metallics feel good from the bh palette so again that was Malibu and here we have Melrose nice consistency very shiny I like it. how does that feel there's a little uh there's a little bad quality crumb I just have to mix a little with melrose but we did it what do we have for cake? Well limoncello is probably going to be the closest shade to malibu, let's get back to that, there's not really a deep shade. purple or royal purple type of a shade that is found in pastel colors, instead we have the duochrome duo, which is a lilac base with a hint of blue, so let's put limoncello here and duo.
I'm sorry for my polish, so we have a lighter portion of duo lavender and limoncello, as the name implies, more citrus yellow versus more Malibu mandarin citrus, but this has a lovely touch that would look beautiful in the inside corner or on the cover, forgive me for not seeing Runyon Canyon, I just left it out because like I thought, We were concentrating on the pies, I was just going to sample our pies. Rodeo Drive, which gives me vintage vibes, we will enter rush hour right after an interesting Rodeo Drive and this includes Runyon Canyon. I understand perhaps the need to court the buyer. so you feel more confident having neutral tones here, this is a beautiful peak hour like sky blue, it reminds me of mint, actually mint frost, so let's do mint frost.
I'm going to choose adriatic and metallic teal, so we have mint. frost and adriatic compared to rush hour rush hour has a cooler blue and mint frost more mint adriatic more turquoise going into a star struck and a sunset bluebird star struck your typical yellow gold sunset boulevard looks really cool, it has the pink base with the gold top, so let's put those two on the arm. I immediately thought of Starlit. I thought it was the tone equivalent of Sunset Boulevard. It has the same vibe, except I think the V8 shade has a cooler pink tone.
They both have that golden touch there. sure and Sunset Boulevard has a similar feel in terms of consistency, but that's the difference between the two. I think Starlit leans more towards coral and lastly we have what appear to be two duochromes: the hills and the city of angels. The city of angels is very pretty, it has a sky blue type vibe, the hills have more of a silver base, it actually leans more silvery lilac, very pretty, very pretty, nice in the inner corner of the city of angels, looks great again in blue i think it has some twist there like a lilac flip the abby which is a white pastel can be used to create contrast so as it's not a black shadow that could muddy the tones pastel mediums or the light pastel shades, abby would be used to create highlights or again a really beautiful color gradient.
You can also use it to maybe change the saturation of the mattes found in the bh palette. We don't have a metallic shade of this shade in the pastel palette, but we do have a bubbly corn-blue cream to powder shade that you really have to get into. there because to collect enough, here we go, I mean, these two forget it match made in heaven, the shades that don't exist in Los Angeles but do exist in the pastel color palette, the tulle, which is more like a bubblegum pink. a cream to powder formula, so it's very light.
I'll show it here next to Malibu, which will give off a lighter pink illusion, which is the opalescent shade found in the pastel palette with that hint of pink. and enthusiasm, this is the one that helps me in terms of highlighting my favorite shades found in the pastel palette. I love the lime color, I think it's very important to have and you know, I don't have room on that arm. go to this arm i'll put it next to bora so it's still light i totally get it but i love that shade which like the light citrus lime shade is included in a pastel collection because i think it goes well with several shades and Heck, I know I'm comparing them to each other or I'm just comparing them, but now that I have this, I would use both Now that we have all the details and samples, why don't you come over for a bit? closer, that's enough, why don't we start with lax?
I want to jump into this kind of aquamarine color. Don't let me use a brush for undyed hair because I feel like this is going to stain. and I was hoping this would look good just based on the swatch, however I'm tapping in instead of out because I still want most of the shadow to stay in this specific area and I don't want to go ahead and twist and turn. too fast, I'll twist and turn so I can blur the edges, but I'll actually touch down most of the shadow so it can look good, so let's go relaxed, beautiful, I love contrast, why don't we go in with arie? from Natasha's palette and in the same way I'm going to touch first not only on the outer V but also on the crease and again I always forgot to touch the primer and once I have most of the color there, They will go around and around , so here's a quick comparison between two shades that are similar.
I think for me, I think you know what, let me finish the look first. I'm going to keep my thoughts to myself until I'm done, we can go monochromatic or We could go a little wild, why don't we try some wee ho next to Lax and I'm playing that on the inside of this side overlapping it a little to see how it goes? It's pretty cool, I think it works here, why? Don't we do the same? Do you know what I'm going to use? My Chicohoro Christmas collection. We're going to play Bellini and then play that on the inside of the eye.
Bellini, one of the mats here that you have to play on. get the full swatch of color, whereas if you twist and turn initially you'll get more of a wash. I think it's time to introduce a metallic tone. I mean, we can go several ways. I think Malibu will be quite nice the more metallic tangerine. We could also do rush hour. Rush hour was like a snow cone. I say snow cone because it reminds me of the metal found in the crazy circle. You could also use the abby to highlight an interior corner. Why don't we do that first?
I want to touch that on the inside of my eye. A great route to take for highlighting is to place a white matte in the inner corner, which would have been nice to have in the pastel palette. I think including a white matte helps the The makeup user should adjust the shades a little more, it only has influence to change the shades of the shadows and not rely on a color to highlight the inner corners, but I think the white juxtaposed with the other shades is a beautiful combination. Dreamy, the more pastel mint green here or I want it because I feel like it's more of a medium shade, but I'm going to put it on the outside of my lash line.
The color is beautiful, although I think it's lovely, applying a touch more loosely here so it blends nicely towards the outside of my eyelid. I haven't decided on the color of my eyelid yet. I'm stuck because it's hard to choose. Do you know what we are going to do? Malibu Malibu is really pretty. Oh, that was a good choice. Good choice, creamy, easy enough to apply here on the lid with your finger, if you want more precision use a shading brush and then use the tip of the brush to carve under the crease so it doesn't rise too much.
I'm going to go back to weeho and play more of that on the inside of the lid. Okay, it seems to be done. We have to complete this side. What can we put here on the lid? Well, we can follow a similar route. I'm going to use bubble, which is the most cornflower shade, but it's the cream to powder formula and I place it here on the lash line, pulling it up so it's airy and why not, let's make limoncello . limoncello is much lighter than malibu, but it has a beautiful veil effect where no matter what you apply it on, it takes on the dna of that shade, so it will absorb some of the arie and bubble blue as well as the peach color of bellini and it will simply transform into something similar. a veil gradient gloss on the lid which I love to put a little more airy here um okay we don't have a white matte again in the pastel palette so what we can do is rely on a lighter color and energetic, it's the mint matte here. which I like, I would prefer to have a white map, but you know, there is still enough light in me to be able to get away with it, maybe I can touch some illusion, the illusion is the opalescent tone here, but when I place it on top energetic , lightens it up a little and then brings out that pink flip bora.
I would say I always want to say bora bora bora here on the outside cover. We did what's the name dreamer here on the bh side, so I'll bring more. of the lilac feather is the matte lilac pink and I'm just dusting the edges here of bora to give it a little more haze on the inner part of the eye, which I didn't do for either of them, so let's take care of that now which is delicate. go with delicate for the inner corner spotlight shade it's really pretty with the lilac base or it's more of a pink base with gold flecks there I just can't go wrong with this shade for this side you know I was alternating between Malibu and time beak,So why don't we go into rush hour?
I was going to do hills, we'll just do the hills, another one in the next look, maybe I'll put it right there, okay, let's apply some lashes and I'll be right back and here's a wide shot of both looks. I love how they both turned out. I think the thought that came to mind while creating these looks is that I can understand why initially when you see the found shades. and

lost

in angels would you consider these pastels i think they lean more towards neon pastel versus pastel pastel which is what i think is captured in natasha's palette that's neither right nor wrong its just something i observed because yeah, when you see the shadows initially when I saw this online and I thought, "Okay, I can understand why people would consider this as an alternative to the pastel palette, but when I actually juxtapose these palettes, I can do it." I understand why would anyone feel good.
I love the LA shadows but the way they translate on my eyes it's not pastel it's more neon or more mid tone pastel, if you want something light then this is definitely what exists in the Natasha Denona palette it necessarily means that you have to spend 65 versus 17. I don't think that if you mix the white with the other mats here you can probably adjust the tone a little. Know? Why not? Try dusting Abby over lax because yes, if you add the white it will lighten the mat significantly so it's just an extra step that you may have to take, but it's a great option if you want it to show up more. neon, then you stay with the colors as is if you want to add a little more luminosity so that it can really show us a real pastel, then that's what you do, but let's do one more round, I think I want to go more into the purples and the corals. here and yeah, I'll see you here in a little while.
Okay, we have a clean canvas. I thought we can start with 505. This is a beautiful melon coral shade and the same way I have been doing it. just placing the color by tapping instead of twisting and turning initially so we can get that to show the color better and like I said before, if you wanted to add a little bit of white, that will change the color correctly. make it lighter 90210 is the very pretty orchid shade, so I'm putting it on the inside of the lid, tappity tap tap, going back to the photo bath and taking it out beyond my eyelid, so I want it to spread.
On this side, I'm going to use tulle, which is a fairly different light pink shade from 90210. It's definitely pinker and doesn't have the same color impact because, first, it's cream to powder and, second, it's a very light pink. clear. one that I probably won't rely on for that moment and that's it, I'll probably use it to blend the edges, but I just wanted to see what the other cream powder would do, but I'm putting it on now. on the outer cap here, so building that up, this is a goat hair brush, it's a really big shader, but I think it's okay to pick it up, you know what I'm going to change, I'm going to do my koyuro. kakishibuzumi shader I think this is number five or number six here we go and on the edges I want to apply the lilac pink shade to create a really nice gradient.
You don't have to do this because it will. bring the look closer to brown if you want to keep it pretty low key then probably don't take that step back on lost in los angeles well you know I have to check out Sunset Boulevard this is such a lovely shade it's a very bright coral. touching on that here practically overlapping the 405 and why don't we put another color because we have space, I think the hills we can make the hills, which is like the city of angels lavender and silver. I am, you know? I'm going to save the city of angels for the inside corner, so I'm going to go in with the touch of the hills where there is a butterbird at sunset and a layer over the shadow of the orchid.
It's not that bad, it's not that bad, we can do it dazzled in the inside corner. but I really appreciate the matte white. I think it's my option. It's my inner corner highlight for the Los Angeles palette. Why don't we do Starlet here on Natasha's side of Nona? Also take the same step we did on this eye and add another color all together. Oh, what should we do? Do you know what I want to do? I know it's not metal, but having it here that's all, it just works great. with the other shades like even though it's coral, it's okay, it found its way into the mix in a stinger and a little bit of limoncello on top because that will give it a little more shine, make it shine a little bit like I promised, I want to apply city de Angeles here on the lower inner lash line which is the Los Angeles metallic powder blue, okay and for the outer lower lash line hmm well you know I could do rodeo drive that's the older shade o I can keep it consistent.
Put four or five. there so it can fit with what's going on on the cover. I'm not doing Canon, we're not going to put neutrals in the eye of the needle. Look, you know? Do you know what I'll do? Lax lax is matte teal, why not? I'm just committing to this lower lash line. We could use a bubble. We could make Adriotic non-matte, but it's not the same shade family. I'm grabbing my eyeshadow to keep this color stuck to the lashes. line, I don't want it to go down too much and then take a little bit of bora here on the outside, moving it out so you can have a more designated elevation towards the blend and the inner corner of this eye.
We did City of Angels. What are we doing here? Let's make frozen mint, why not frozen mint to win and add more zest. I want this to be the highlight part of the inner lid for Natasha's side because again I love this shade and you can add more if you want. limoncello to add more of the lemon citrus tone and more adriatic here I'm toning it down a little bit so we can handle it well okay and maybe we can do a winged liner. I'll come back and here's the wide shot of In round number two, I applied some heavy petal from hidden board monochromes and added some Natasha Donona amarosa.
I need a new lipstick. It was fun to do it. I'm happy to have tried the bh palette and seen for myself the comparisons and differences between the two again, this is not to make you feel bad on either side of the party, like if you like bh great if you like natasha denona great if you have both fantastic also i think it's useful in case you are on a budget and saw Natasha don't you love the colors and say you know what I still want those shades in my collection but the price of 65 doesn't suit me Does it work right now, like I said initially when I saw it?
Lost in Los Angeles I said, okay, I can understand why people would consider this a pastel color palette. I still think these colors are more neon pastel neon, I think it's like a category, a subcategory, correct me if I'm wrong below. I'm open to arguing that, but I think the real pastels are the ones that exist in Natasha's palette. However, like I said before, depending on your skin tone, depending on how these shades look on you when applied, something looks one way in a palette, it may not translate. Likewise when I applied it on the lids, I didn't combine Runyon Canon with the other mattes here, so I'm not sure if you wanted to apply the neutral shade and then move on to the pastel shade.
I don't know how it will work. Look, I don't know if they'll get dirty, I don't know if you'll be okay, I just wanted to dedicate the looks using the colorful shadows, but in the future, it's good to know that if I carried this palette, I can just combine runyon canon rodeo, maybe black coffee a along the lash line and have a great look and yes I am coming from a biased point of view I adore the Natasha Denona palette so before even trying the bh palette I was already head over heels in love with the pastel palette so which unfortunately the bh palette was starting out with a disadvantage and yes Natasha's team sent me this palette so it's not to sweat your thanks and have you something else because I bought quite a few palettes before I got PR from the brand so That's not the case, but I'm happy I tried the bh palette because it's quite nice and I think for 17 the shadows work well, they're consistent, the mattes are quite soft, they're easy to blend and the metallic shades are shiny, soft and easy to apply, you can order more at a price of 17, surely the difference is that you have cream to powder from Natasha's palette, so if you enjoy that texture that doesn't exist in the bh palette, you don't have it . the matte white in Natasha's palette you have illusion, which is more it's actually a new formula here is the opalescent with the white base, so if you rely on this shade to highlight, this is what you have instead of the abby you can use for inner corner highlight or a highlight on the lid so let me know what you think below if you have any of the palettes what do you think if you have the bh palette and say you know what I'm good I don't need a cake. palette or if you were deciding between the two if this helped in any way I would love to hear your experience below see you in the comments and until then fam that's all thank you all so much for watching I hope. this video helped and if you like this video please like and maybe consider subscribing to my channel and until then I will see you here again with another tutorial review, pastel palette show, monthly favorites or vlog, take care and I will see you . again soon you
