Plus, you can add tasks from Gmail on mobile too! From the Gmail app, open the email you want to add and select the three-dot menu icon at the top right. Then, simply select add to tasks. It's really that easy. Ah, but we're not done yet. Because you may have noticed that when you add a task from Gmail, the name of the task appears in the subject line of the email. Sometimes this is a good thing, but other times you'll want to change it. Simply click on the task name to change it. Ranked #2 in my top 5 Google Tasks tips for

is to quickly add repetitive tasks.

This is truly a time saver. So, let's say we add a task that we want to repeat regularly. We can click to add a date and time, or we can quickly click the arrows to the right of the date and time to repeat the task. When clicked, a small pop-up window will appear where you can decide how often you want that task to repeat and when. Therefore, you can choose day, week, month or year. You can choose a start date and you can even set a time for that repeat task. By the way, this is very useful if you need to send birthday cards in the mail or simply remember birthdays or special occasions; you can easily do it with just a few clicks.

Set it and forget it. Well, until you want to be reminded, that is. So, once you customize your task to repeat it however you want, simply click OK. Now, back in the task list, we will have the next task displayed here, but we will also see the little repeat arrows that indicate that this is a repeating task. So, you might be wondering what happens if I mark that task as completed? Well, if we mark this recurring task as completed, it will be removed from the upcoming tasks list, but don't worry, it will appear again in the task list for the date you set it.
Alright, Google task tip number 3: create subtasks. I feel like this is an easily overlooked Google Tasks feature that you might want to take advantage of. Let's say you're managing a project or tackling something that requires many steps to complete the entire task. Well, we can achieve optimal organization by creating subtasks. So I'm going to go ahead and create a project task for this. And on the right, I have a three dot menu icon. If we click on that, we'll have the option to add a subtask. Now here we can add our subtask that we know needs to be completed as part of this project.
And we can continue adding subtasks as needed by just pressing Enter here. And of course, you can also set dates and times for these subtasks, just like you would for the main task. Alright, Google Tasks Productivity Tip #4: Organize your Google task lists by project or even by client. This will help you stay even more organized. You may know that Google Tasks automatically creates a My Tasks list. And maybe you also know how to create a new list in Google Tasks. By the way, if you don't know how to do it, check out my full Google Tasks tutorial via the link in the description below.
So maybe you created a to-do list for important emails or something. Well, consider creating to-do lists organized by project you're working on. Or even by   client. Really think about what keeps you most organized and work from there. The nice thing is that as long as you've created a task, you can always reassign it to another list at any time. Simply click the three-dot menu icon to the right of the task and add it to an existing list you've created or click the new list option to add it to a new list. And last but not least, number 5 on my list of

best

Google Tasks tips is to change the task color in Google Calendar.
That's right, every time you create a task and assign a date and time to it, it will automatically be added to your Gcal. So from Google Calendar, under the "my calendars" section on the left, you should have your tasks listed here. Just click on the three dot menu icon   and select your preferred color. This will be your color for all your Google tasks in Calendar. And, if you don't like any of the defaults, you can choose a custom color by selecting the plus symbol and choosing the color of your custom tasks. It's really that easy!
