The Palm Pistol (Gimmick or Legitimate ???)

made by Constitution Arms, so it is a quite interesting pocket, it is chambered in 38 special and to load it you press this button here, it opens, you load your round in your 2 -in Barrel, this is a safety, both must be depressed to be able to close the barrel and then, to To shoot this you have to press both and then turn it and there's a little red button on either side so it doesn't matter which side you're on you turn it over and then you can fire the gun.

You might be wondering why this silly thing was created. You would be surprised to know that it was actually marketed as a medical device for seniors. and people with limited mobility and poor hand strength, the person who created it even went so far as to try to get it approved by the FDA as a medical device so that it would be covered by insurance, they don't make them anymore and in fact they are very difficult to find so I'm really excited to try this out and finally hit the red button so let's get set up and get started.

Well, first I'm going to shoot it and see what it's like, so I've never shot this before. so this should be interesting. I feel like loading it is a little sketchy because you really have to look at that barrel because it's so short, but I guess it's a good thing it has so many safeties, maybe that's why it has so many safeties now. I'm going to shoot it, this is a 124 grain Full Metal Jacket. Alright, here we go pressing the red button on three, two, one, she won't be kicking, it's a very light recoil bullet and I can totally understand why they chose 38 special, but.

I think I'd enjoy it a lot more if it was chambered like a 500 Magnum or a 50 BMG maybe or even four Bo's would be nice, so we know this thing will go off, but now we have to see if we can actually hit something with it. It's definitely not made for distance, so I'm pretty close, let's take a swing at it and see if I can really hit it. Hey, we're going a little to the left, but it's not bad. It actually has a nifty little eject feature. It has a spring. You can stick your fingernail in there, just pop that shell off, you know, because this isn't your typical gun.

I feel like I should use a more advanced shooting stance, more like a karate stance, so let's try this real quick. K hey oh I did it better that time look at that, yeah my kung fu is strong. I've gotten really good at tossing tables. Looks good, mate. Okay, let's shoot some ballistic gel with the Palm gun and see how effective it is. a 16 inch block of 10% clear ballistic gel made with clear ballistics and I know you probably want to see a chronograph reading, but the other day I was timing my truck to see if my speedometer was correct, it really didn't work.

I wanted it, but hey, we have ballistic gel, okay though, I have a 125 grain 38 Special hollow point, let's see what kind of penetration we have here, come on, well, well, we go through the entire 16 inch block. Actually, I'm quite surprised. Well, I will say that the Palm pistol is no joke and would provide adequate penetration. The ballistic gel gave us good information, but I think we need more testing, so next. I'm going to pop an apple, okie dokie. I'm about to get really dirty. That's one way to make applesauce. Next, we're going to shoot something a little denser than an apple.

This is creamy peanut butter and I'm telling you. There's nothing better than fresh peanut butter right out of the jar. That's good. I'm going to set up five one-gallon water jugs and see if we can actually catch the 38 Special and see if I can. I can line this up I don't think we got it NOP I shot the sideline a little straighter this time here we go oh I got some water on my face it still went through them all we didn't get it damn The Palm gun has a lot of safety features, but I'm still a little worried about the load, so next let's see what would happen if you had a careless discharge, so when you load it you have to be very careful with the barrel and what if you know, you had your hand too close, oh oh , that wouldn't be good, what if you already have it charged and you're putting it in your pocket and you accidentally catch that little red button there?
