bathroom

DIYs for you. We are having a very busy week this week, we have a family. meeting and I wasn't sure if I would be able to upload a video, but they were so

easy

that I will be able to show you a real quick video about some things I created for our

bathroom

before this family meeting. So with all that said let's get crafting okay here's DIY number one so I grabbed this sign that I bought at Hobby lobby for 74 cents and then I printed something out for my cricut and I started sanding that block just because I had something.

I varnished and wanted to make it a little rough so the paint would adhere better. I then took my Waverly chalk paint in white and just painted the entire sign now after painting the first side I realized I liked some of that dark color that looked gave it that worn look so I painted the whole thing the rest not very thick, I let some of that show through and then went back to the first side with a baby wipe and just rubbed a little. off and so you can see some of that gray and then I'm just removing the vinyl here on this right now this saying I got from Cricut design space.

I think I just wrote bathroom signs and I searched and found this one, but if you don't have a cricut, could you use stickers? I know you can google free bathroom sign printables and know how to make something that way or if you are a good artist you can paint it. yourself, I'm not a good artist that's why I depend on my cricut, but this is what I'm doing and I apologize for making a lot of these are from my cricket again, I was in a moment This week's crisis is approaching our family reunion so I needed to do some quick DIYs and there were a few things I wanted to do for my bathroom before and I thought this would be a perfect opportunity so here I am. that design on that block that I painted and this transfer tape worked pretty well, it came off, I just had to do a little bit of work, not as bad as another DIY that I'll show you here in a moment, but um and once.

I have all that on and I remove the transfer tape. I decide to do a little bit more distressing, especially on the front and the edges, so I take my Waverley chalk paint in the color ink and I'm just going to do a little bit. I dry brushed the entire front and around the edge of that sign and then while I was doing that a light bulb went off in my head and I thought, you know, it needs something else, so I thought, well, I know what I want. To make this I grabbed my half beads and I don't remember what size they are, they are the smallest sizes and I just hot glued four, four on each end except the bottom and of course I will have a link. in my description box, um to Emma's to Amazon because that's where I bought them once they were all hot glued together, I took my Waverly chalk paint in the color white and painted them all and distressed them a little bit with the black and I felt like there wasn't enough contrast, so I went ahead with the color of the elephant in Waverly chalk paint and I'm just painting those round beads on it and I'm not making it too heavy because I wanted some of that white to show through and then I took a little bit of the white again and I made it a little more distressed all over and that's it for this very simple DIY and yet I think it turned out really cute, in fact I think it looks like something you would make. find it in the hobby lobby or online and you could buy it Hi guys, I just wanted to stop by and say that I made the 4000 hours of play and I'm very excited and I really appreciate all of you who have subscribed.

I was rich and I could give everyone gifts because I love giving gifts and I would do it in a heartbeat but I'm not rich anyway and in fact I'm not even making money yet but it's coming soon so with Said all of this let's keep crafting so here's DIY number two so simple and easy guys I just took a piece of foam board printed it the same way and took some of this

dollar

tree

ribbon. I cut that foam board to fit the size of my toilet paper basket and I'm just putting up this sign that I printed on my cricut and I'll put the font in the description box below, I think I wrote it, I hope I did, then I took this tape and I cut it to size and now I'm hot gluing it around that piece of foam board because the edges of the foam board, you know, were a little rough.
I didn't want it to show, so I'm taking some twine. and I'm just hot gluing all of that together and I actually turned this over about three times because I wanted some of that thread to peek out over and under that ribbon so you could see it a little bit and so it doesn't look so funny, I didn't want it to look like the ribbon was there so once I had it wrapped I'm measuring it here to see how long I wanted the part to hang and then I'm just going to use hot glue on the back of that sign, I cut it out.
I should have tied the knot at the end before putting the hot glue on. But it still worked, it was still hot enough to stick and then once I did it. I took a smaller piece of twine and put it through the weave of that basket and threaded it through the top loop of the hanger that I created on that sign and then I just tied a knot and then trimmed it off. that and that's it for that sign oh no it's not, sorry I forgot, I took some of my elephant chalk paint and just did a little dry brushing on it so it wouldn't be so white and it gives it a little bit more of that rustic

farmhouse

look and that's so simple, so easy, and there it is, that's the end and here I'm going to show you in just a second what it looks like in my bathroom, okay, DIY number three.
I wanted to create this sign so that when people come in they know that they have a sign showing them which direction the bathroom is, so I took this sign that I got from the dollar tree. I'm going to remove the hanger and go to Use it later, so I put it away. I'm giving it a good sanding just because it's a very soft wood and you know it had hairs and stuff on it so I wanted to sand it down and then I took my Waverly chalk paint. I think I used white, it was plaster or white and I'm just brushing the entire front really good with that color and then once it was dry again, a simple and

super

easy project, I'm going to take my vinyl piece that I created from my cricut and I'm going to put it on the front.
I can't believe I'm showing so much of this painting, sorry guys, okay, there's the printout and I thought this. I've seen a few other crafters use this. um and I thought it was really cute and this is where I was having trouble. I will tell you that the transfer tape did not want to come off the vinyl. It probably took me a good 10, 10 to 15 minutes to remove and usually larger prints like this come off very easily and I was on the struggle bus. I was having a great time because I kept trying to lift everything up, not the paint, thank goodness, but the vinyl just didn't want to let go of it. transfer tape, so I'll have it here in a few minutes.
I had to cut the transfer tape a little bit because, to cut it shorter, just to make it a little easier to release everything, but it was giving me a problem. and you see, he even ripped the lady's head off. I had to put it back on and then once I took it off it still had a lot of stickiness from that transfer tape so I just wiped the goo off and cleaned it off. I take my ruler and I'm making marks that were an inch apart and I take my square ruler in there and I just line it up with each of those marks and I make ship's lap lines along that sign and um I love making them, it's very easy and I love using the pencil because it's just a faint line, it's not a very thick line and I love it.
So I take that hanger that I took off and I'm just wrapping some duct tape around the end. that I had untied so I could put it through that hole and once I put it through that hole I will go through the hole on the other side and tie a knot and this sign is made and I put it up when you come into our house, right? In front of you there is a wall with a big mirror and I put it right on the side that way it directs people so they know which direction they should go to go to the bathroom and there it is next to my mirror and I think it's really cute, I love that little sign okay and do it yourself number four I already put it up above our bathroom and I just grabbed another one of these signs that I found on the dollar tree and I'm going to paint it all over the front. sides on the back with my Waverly chalk paint in white and again this is a really

super

easy project anyone could do this you could use stickers if you don't have a cricut you can definitely use stickers for this rub on the transfers, uh.
You know, you could even write your own handwriting, so once I have all of this painted, I'm going to use my Cricut sign that I created that just says bathroom and this one came out super easy. I was very happy because I don't believe. I put mod podge on this sign. I just did the sign or the wording and then I grabbed my Arteza paint pen that my dad, my husband, my dad, oh my gosh, my husband gave me for my birthday and I'm just outlining that first edge. and I just go around the whole sign with it and then I'm going to outline the second border if you're new here, welcome, I'm so glad you're here and that you've joined us, if you haven't already.
I would love for you to hit the subscribe button and hit the notification bell so you get notified every time I upload a video and give me a thumbs up and a comment that really helps my channel grow, but I'm so excited to have them all. . you guys here whether you're new or coming back it's always a pleasure to have you here so once I was done with that I got these dollar tree transfers and I take the back off and then I'm just rubbing that little picture of the sheet and you just rub it well and then you remove the top piece of plastic and I always do it very carefully and I keep my eye on that piece of plastic because you can see if part of that image comes off with the plastic and if it does, just go back to put it in, rub a little bit more and then once you start lifting you'll see it stays so you just want to do that part a little bit slow just keep an eye on it and make sure it's okay. stay on the piece you're putting it on and it's pretty easy and then once I finish that side I do the other side too and then I went out to my husband's messy garage and he showed me here how to drill holes. on the um on the sign I was so proud of myself for making that hole that I had to show you guys even though you can't really see it, so I put in the other hole and I'll tell you I love that.
What I want to do more is I took some zip ties and I'm just sticking them through the hole and then I took some of this chain that came out of one of those garden pots. You can also buy the chains. Well, you could. Hopefully I can still see them in the yard section of the Dollar Tree and I just removed five little links and put one through that zip tie and then I'll close it up leaving that um where it attaches to the back of the sign and then once have them both there I'll just move those links to the top and then hang them on a plant hanger I bought from Dollar Tree doing the same method with the zip tie and at the end of the chain and there it is it looks so cute and I think I did a little bit of distressing on the front, I guess I didn't show you that, um, not much, but just a little bit of black distressing too and then this is the last one.
DIY is very simple, now you guys can do this as you want. I added the glitter because it goes next to my husband's sink because he always leaves his medicine rail everywhere and I thought this would be a perfect place to store it so To start, I bought this tub at Dollar Tree and I'm just painting it with that Waverly chalk paint in the color white. I'm painting the entire tub that way, it's not as shiny or plastic looking and then once it's done I haveare. This is like it has two sides or two strips of rhinestones that look like diamonds and it's sticky but I wanted to make sure it stuck really well so I just added a little bit of hot glue and then put the rhinestones on top and just do it around the tub using a little hot glue just to strengthen the adhesive. that rhinestone strip, in fact, i think the paper was stickier than the rhinestones, so once i finished that i grabbed my paint pen again and I was just coloring the small area of the faucet and then I decided to go ahead and put a Cutout that around the tub to make it look like the old tubs had the enamel with the black trim around it and then once I do that this project will be finished and it looks very nice, in fact, I might have to do it if I can find another bathtub, make one for my side too, but I don't know, maybe not.
Oh, I just take one more step here as I go around the tub, my hand slips and whoops, there we go, so I grab some. more white paint and just painting over it and yeah, that was all there was so again I hope you enjoyed today's video. I know it was very quick and they were super easy again. I have a busy week, I'm not sure I can do it. I'll be posting a video next Wednesday, but I'll probably be posting on Thursday first because I'm doing the collabs, so until then, have a wonderful week, have a blessed week, stay calm if you're having hot weather, and I'm looking forward to it.
