VICTORY ARROWS - High Quality and User Friendly!!

Apr 27, 2024
What's up guys? We are back. Today we are going to discuss the winning archery lineup. They are an aerodynamic company. I haven't had a chance to play with these much in recent years. I've obviously tuned a lot of bows. where the guys were filming this, I heard wonderful things, but I never actually had my hands on them to shoot them, um, so now I shoot. I shot Easton for a long time. I have shot Black Eagle for the past two years. I've been shooting these uh Victory, these are the VAP stainless steels for the last two and a half weeks, almost three weeks.

So far, I'm really impressed with many of its features. I want to start this video by saying that personally. any of the

that you can buy at a distributor that has dealerships all over the country right now. I think Easton, obviously, Black Eagle and Victory are the three Heavy Hitters right now, they offer a complete line that you know, each company offers a complete line that knows your budget, like entry level arrows up to their super

More Interesting Facts About,

I think that's what gives them an advantage over, say, Easton. And again, this is not to criticize Easton. I love Easton. I've shot Easton forever. um but just in the last two years there are some things that I wish they would do differently and I think you know Black Eagle and Victory have paid attention to some of those demands and come up with some really interesting things. new arrows, so I'm going to go over your line here. They have many more arrows that I will cover today. If you go to their website, all their arrows are there with all their specifications and grains per inch. and you know, the straightness ratings, but essentially they have, you know, they have their v-strength, which will be like six and a half millimeters, so it's like the equivalent of a Hunter gold point, um, they have the tears that go to be your five millimeter shaft, kind of like an eastern shaft arrow and then you have your vaps, which are your 166 or four millimeter shafts now, depending on the alignment, which will go from a 700 spine up to, I think, these go in like a 235, so these will go 500 400 350 300 235 um and these are the arrows that I built these are the VAP stainless steels um this is essentially the answer to an oriental FMJ, so they're heavier grains per inch but still on a 300 spine, so I didn't have to jump to an arrow that was too stiff to get the spine I was looking for.

They also make the original single VAP. This is a really light arrow, so this would be an arrow that, you know, people would shoot like, say, a reading style shot or a field shot or world archery and then they have the TKO , the VAP TKO which is right here, which is an all carbon type between the two in terms of grains per inch, and you know this is by far the most popular, at least, what we sell, and then every line What they have will come in three grades, so the elite will be the yellow one, the player.

It's going to be the green label and the green label and then the sport will be the Red Label now the differences between those, the elite, will all be a straightness of 1000, each axis has a paired axis with a difference of one grain between them, the players are going to be three thousandths of an inch straight and within three grains of each other and then, uh, I think sports is six thousand and I think also within a guaranteed margin of three grains of each other, every lower level is a slightly lower price. period um, but they fit a little bit into everyone's budget and needs now again.
I don't think it's any more precise than an FMJ, what makes the FMJ different is instead of having a carbon core with an aluminum wrapped shell. on the outside, like an oriental FMJ does, it's actually a 90 carbon weave mixed with a 10 stainless steel fiber weave, so you can't bend them like you can on FMJ and they won't dent like you can. I won't wrinkle them if you cross them, they are incredibly strong. I've heard a lot of testimonials saying that this is one of the hardest arrows people have shot. I've seen arrows, you know, come in, you know, through a deer's shoulder blade and the deer takes off and the arrow is still stuck in the deer.
Well, you know, through the shoulder blade when they find the animal, obviously, those are rumors. I just heard a lot of stories, um, but it's incredibly difficult. Arrow. um and a little bit of history on Victory, so they're actually owned by Mitsubishi um and Mitsubishi is one of the world leaders in carbon production and manufacturing. They probably make about 90 percent of all golf club shafts on the market, of which there are millions. dollars in testing and science that goes into making those golf club shafts, they have spines like an arrow, so all that technology and knowledge that they have about how carbon works, you know the physics of how carbon reacts and how to apply it to a bow.
They were already one step ahead of everyone because they have years and years and years of this research for their carbon golf clubs. They make carbon for Formula One cars, so they are the world's leading supplier of carbon and they make carbon. A lot of people use their stuff. Mitsubishi actually owns it, it's the parent company of Victory. Victory is based in Carlsbad, California, so they're here in the US, they're not made in the US, I think they're made in Vietnam, but you know, not everything can. be done here um with that, you get a little bit lower price even on their premium than, for example, Eastern Axis or fmjs.
I mean, God bless Easton for doing everything in America. I love that, um, but you're going to pay, you know? 30 40 percent um to get that um so like I said these are the VAP SS so this is cut to 29 inches. I just put some Blazer veins in there, um, they come with a 50 grain titanium exterior, um, it's actually like half that. I bring out a collar that goes over the shaft here and I'll show you why I really like that here in a second, but you can get them so that each column has its own size, basically, and they're color coded so you know when. you go to your distributor or you order them online and they'll say, oh, if you want, you know if you have a 400 loin and you want 95 grains, this is your color.
I think there's kind of a red and orange, black and then like oh, kind of a blue-gray color and they're just for the different sizes and spines of the arrow. I'm shooting the 75 with a 100 grain tip, this is exactly 500 grains, that's 499.6 grains the last year I was shooting. Black Eagle X hits a phenomenal axis. I didn't have anything bad to say about them, they were a little lighter grains per inch. I set them up when I was going to Hawaii to hunt those axes here that are really scary, fast deer, at least that's what I had heard I had no problem with them jumping my string, but I didn't need a heavy arrow for that, you know, they're not a big boned animal um and then when moose season came around I just did it.
I don't want to redo my side tape, so I photographed him for the second season of Elk, a little lighter than I probably would have liked, so these come in 500, my black Eagles, I think they were like 450 or 452. um , which is for my specs 30 inches, 72, 73 pounds, that's a little light. I can easily get away with shooting a heavier arrow and still maintain my speed now, in fact, from 20 to 40, my lateral tape hasn't changed at all. these, which is kind of crazy, um, but you know the TKO, the VAP TKO, which is the all carbon version of this, when I did the math, it would probably come out to around 460. um, so that's like I said, it's really very popular Arrow um, if a guy wanted to go, you know, with a little bit heavier insert, something like that, you could increase it another 20 30 grains, so anyway they got a good alignment, which really made me like this insert and will actually do this hit. off so you can see, it's unlike the Easton four Mills.
I love the axles. I shot them, they shot very well. I think what they are missing is in their insert components, they come with 50 grain aluminum, but aluminum, as you know. you can bend it and then it doesn't cap, it just caps over the end of the axle, like I mean, maybe an eighth of an inch, so it's just a weak point in the axle that they bend, you know if the axle is going to break. when cutting through an animal, it's always right at that point, usually, this insert here, this piece of silver goes up to just over a half inch on the shaft, you can see where this bevel stops, so that's where the shaft crashes when you put this on your arrow, I mean there's zero slope there and it's limited, I mean, maybe like a sixteenth of an inch over a half inch, so it creates a really strong front of your arrow, on top of that, the machining it's excellent.
They all weigh exactly the same, they spin phenomenally well and if you match the right insert with the right spine, like I said, I mean, you know they don't just lean there, there's a little bit of resistance, but there's nothing. like there's no movement there at all, I really like that, another thing they do is they come pre-spinalized. I'll try to show you here, it's a little hard to see on camera, but they mark the spine from the factory, um now. you can buy a spine finder like I did on my black Eagles. I did it on my east ends and you can score that spine and Fletch along it, but it's an expensive piece of machinery, not everyone has the time or money to do it. buy one of those with these if you're one of those guys that likes to play with stroke adjustment and bear shaft adjustment.
I'm not going to say that you know that the logo is perfectly along the rigid spine of each arrow, but it is really very close so that you at least have a good starting point and can make small adjustments to the orientation of the shot to the right or to the left until you get all your arrows to shoot the Bullet Hole, you know, the bare shaft Bullet Hole basically, um, if you're someone who likes to do that, so again, it's a nice feature. They have a very slippery coating. I don't remember what they call it.
It's like a liquid bath or ice or something. Go up to the last six inches. the shaft, because it's very slippery, I'm sure they had problems with the glue sticking to it, so they stopped that layer six inches from the end, so if you're going to wrap this shaft or Fletch like I did, don't I wrap but I just wash it directly to the shaft there, um, as long as it's clean, it has a little bit of a rougher surface, so the glue sticks very, very well, um. The knocks that come with I, I don't think are bad.
I'm still going to do six deep shots um, no I just haven't put them in these yet, they've still grouped up really well, they're a little bit bigger and a little bit wider, like I said, I don't know if they shoot. worse um just aesthetically I like the Deep six and I know the Deep six are tried and true Knocks and they fit here no problem so like I said this is the VAP series they basically have three different grades and three weights different. the vaps, the VAP tkos, which are kind of your medium and the VAP SS, which are your heavier grains per inch in this um, the next type of alignment that they have is the uh, the rips, now this one is an extremely popular shaft, exactly the same deal as them.
I have the elites, the players and the sports. I think they make them in stainless steel too, but this and only the TKO, so all the carbon will give most guys the weight they are looking for. good hunting Arrow um, all your specs in terms of grains per inch are in line. I can't remember them all. There are a lot of them again. They come with 50 grain stainless steel that are color coded to the spine you shoot. Again. cap halfway, you know, a little over half an inch over the end of The Arrow, very, very, very sturdy.
Arrow um, these and like those, those VAP tkos are probably our best sellers. They make them in the non-tko version, just like they make the vaps and the non-tko version and again they will be lighter grains per inch, um, so this would be the equivalent of a five millimeter shaft, basically on the eastern shaft, five millimeters or like a Black Eagle Rampage, um and then I told you. about the v force arrows that are like their gold tipped hunters, you know they're like their mid range entry level arrows, you know they're like 106 bucks a dozen or something and they'll go from being like a 700 spine the way up to a 300 um spine in the two that I just showed you, they go from a 500 spine to a 235 spine, so they got 500 400 350 300 235, so it doesn't matter what the length of your drawing is , how much weight you want.
For forward shooting, you'll be able to find an axis that works for you, too. They have a pretty serious line of targets these are the vtac series so these are the 27s the big old tanks this would be what a lot of guys are going to shoot for any nfaa approved interior they also make them in a 23 and a 25, so, you know, yeah, the 27 12s 25 12s 2315 in Easton um or like the ps23s ps25s ps27s in Black Eagle that they have. They have you covered for everything. You know most guys. For 3D, you either shoot a 20 like an ASA or you shoot like a 25 or a 23, the 27 gets a little jittery at range, but for shooting at 20 yards, this is going to be your arrow.
They come with the striking bushings in the package as well as the Knocks and these are a 220 now Victory spine which is really stiff and heavy, Victory makes them do strike points ranging from 150 to 300 grains so the Most guys will probably shoot these damn ones almost to their full length with between 200 and 300 grains on top. straight ahead so they come out correctly, but for indoors I mean, obviously, you want forgiveness in your setup, but it's 20 yards, you know the arrow, if the arrow comes off your rest a little bit, it's different, it's kicking the exact same distance. every time, so it's not that important, that's why you don't see that full range of loins.
The 23. I think you can enter as a 480, a 380 and a 270, and the 25. I would have to double check. those but they make them all so they really have a full range of stuff they make glue and target points for the small diameter arrows too if you're going to shoot in the field like I said these are the just the original vaps this is a very light spine this is a 600 um but this would be, you know, on any spine you need this would be something if you were building a bow to read or something this would be something you would shoot Anyway, really cool arrows, like I said, I don't think there's anything inherently more precise about them, but I really love their insert collar system here, it's all one piece.
Black Eagle has something similar but it's actually an insert that you glue into a collar that goes on top of that which you then screw on there's a little set screw that screws the collar to the insert and your Field Point screws into the collar um It worked great, but I had to apply Loctite to that little set screw because over time you'd hear a little bit, you know, and you'd be shooting and you'd have to go in and re-tighten it, so I just Loctite, they never had any problems after that, but this is just one piece, there is no slope. 50 75 and 95 grain options for every insert they make for their line of arrows, so like I said, great options, I think they are building a phenomenal Arrow, um, if you can get a great Arrow at a little better price, um, you know.
I don't think anyone is going to complain about that, so I encourage you to go check them out, we have them in the store here, you can call, we ship arrows, we build arrows, we can help you, you know, if you have questions about you know what area you should shoot for your given setup or whatever you may be hunting. We can help you with the spine and the point, wait and figure out the shaft and you know, insert a point weight combination that might work. Best to you, so if you have questions, give us a call at G4 Outdoors.
We are here in North Plains Oregon, which is where I work now. I don't work at The Borax. I don't call borac. Looking for me anyway, thanks for looking
