. If you think about it, when dust falls on your plants, especially indoors, tons of dust inside, right? So when dust falls on your plants, it creates a film of light that refracts light and impedes that particular leaf's ability to photosynthesize. So what a lot of people will do is spray their plants, mist them, take a little microfiber and wipe down their larger leaves.

You would spray the plant, take some type of cloth, and just wipe it down. Now, I think the reason they've used butter here is so it's always shiny, but that's not a good idea for a couple of reasons. Number one, it's a bad idea because it's an oil and grease that's put on top of the plant. That's not what they usually have on them and plants transpire through their leaves. It is not advisable to block the so-called stomata, which are responsible for the plant's respiration. So the oils can clog that up and then you're damaging the plant's ability to be a plant.

So problem number one. Number two, it will be around for quite some time. I guess that's their selling point. It will look shiny forever. And then you have a dusty oily plant that you will still have to clean. Again, it doesn't make much sense to me, but hey, it's 5 Minute Crafts, guys.
