We have all been afraid at one time or another since we were children. Our fears have been shaped by our experiences. Some children grew up afraid of the dark, clowns, or anything else we considered a danger to our continued existence. We grew older, watched horror movies, roller coasters, and other ways to find outlets for healthy fun. The fear. We learned that fear was natural and that by itself it could not harm us. We learned to face our fears and overcome our silly superstitions, but what if we did?" What if instead of facing our fear we let it consume us?

? 1991 Christopher Case was, by all accounts Reportedly a regular guy, an accomplished DJ in his hometown in Virginia. He had since moved to Seattle, where he worked for a company that made elevator music. He was a healthy 35-year-old man who took vitamin supplements and exercised regularly. He traveled occasionally for work and that's how he ended up in San Francisco on April 11, 1991. There he struck up a conversation with an older woman who shared his interest in old musical compositions, the night continued and they continued chatting, the woman finally made the first move. and asked Christopher to return to her house, he politely refused and, according to second-hand sources, she became enraged, telling Christopher that she was a witch and that he would be cursed to die at the end of the week.

It is noteworthy that this story was told by one of Christopher's friends. Christopher didn't believe any of that nonsense and returned home and continued. In his life, it is worth noting once again that everything Christopher experienced from this point on is alleged to have occurred after his

death

. Christopher's friend would provide this account of his some time after San Francisco. This friend, a self-proclaimed psychic, is the only person who supposedly knows the details of Christopher's life from April 11 to April 18. The only thing I can say with certainty is that Christopher took a trip to San Francisco and that on April 18 he already was dead

called his friend and explained that he had been experiencing shadows moving around his apartment strange whispers and strange dreams he was supposedly frantic suddenly more worried about the curse than he had let on at first the manager of the local bookstore reported that Christopher had gone in and bought books on witchcraft and the occult along with a handful of crucifixes, I'm not sure why the bookstore sold crucifixes but maybe it was a special type of bookstore the calls to his friend continued where he supposedly told him that he had woken up strangled. by an unseen presence and waking up with strange cuts on his hands during this The time no one else saw Christopher, his friend was back in Christopher's hometown in Virginia and this was in 1991.

Cell phones weren't very extended and you couldn't just send a text to make sure everything was okay on April 16th. Christopher allegedly spent the night in a hotel. April 17 was the last time his friend heard from him. He left a message stating that he was going to die in panic. His friend notified Seattle police on April 18. They entered Christopher's apartment. The space was supposedly filled with crucifixes and salt candles. Lines were drawn in front of each door. Christopher was in his bathtub fully clothed, kneeling with his head against the wall, dead. An autopsy would later show that Christopher had died of myocarditis and inflammation of the heart.

Some say this was the curse that ran its course and killed Christopher as planned. Others think that Christopher in his deteriorating mental state simply died of fear, they believed that he had become so excited that his heart could not bear it and he died hiding from imagined monsters in his bathtub. Myocarditis is interesting because it can present with feelings. of imminent death and some mental symptoms, but what do you think was the end of Christopher Case? A sad story about a man hundreds of miles from his friends and family who was suffering from the onset of a serious medical condition or, instead, was suffering the effects of some darkness.
