U.S. Navy fires captain who sought help for virus-stricken ship

of a US Navy aircraft carrier who was facing a growing coronavirus
outbreak on hisship
was fired Thursday. Navy leaders said Bret Crozier created panic by sending a memo asking too many people forhelp
and suggesting that 50 sailors could die with a crew of nearly 5,000, the USS Theodore Roosevelt is docked in Guam. The Navy has said up to 3,000 will be taken off theship
and quarantined on Friday. More than 100 sailors on the ship tested positive for thevirus
