U.S. Navy fires captain who sought help for virus-stricken ship

was fired Thursday. Navy leaders said Bret Crozier created panic by sending a memo asking too many people for

help

and suggesting that 50 sailors could die with a crew of nearly 5,000, the USS Theodore Roosevelt is docked in Guam. The Navy has said up to 3,000 will be taken off the

ship

and quarantined on Friday. More than 100 sailors on the ship tested positive for the

virus
