Sportsbet TV: Royal Ascot 2022 - Day 2 free tips from Paul Alster

Hello and welcome to Sportsbet TV with me, Paul Alster, looking ahead to day two of Royal Ascot on Wednesday 15th June. This bulletin will be recorded on Monday lunchtime for technical reasons, so some of the prices I can point out here may be subject to quite big changes, so keep that in mind as you check this out to get a view of the horses that I recommend you. If you are coming across a channel for the first time, then well done. In fact, you might have found something really good here. We have done very well over the last almost two years with consistent profits month after month, season after season, year after year.

Tipping their prices decent each way, some of them, a respectable five. and six-to-one odds for others as big as 60-to-one, 80-to-1 winners down the road, so once again I'm looking for decent value and that plays into one or two of my potential picks for Wednesday that I'm looking at . Three races now and there's no bet on the Queen Mary early stakes Wednesday the two year old race I just think it's too hard well I remember if you haven't already hit the subscribe button. right below this screen and then you won't miss any of my newsletters for Royal Ascot or any other time so my first choice is in race 305 uh at Ascot on Wednesday The Queen's Bars it's a group two these days in this race.

It used to be over two miles, uh, it's about mine and three quarters for the last few years, it's only for three year olds and there are 12 runners. The going is now forecast to once again be good to firm overall, probably a little good in places now a lot. There are a lot of uncertainties around the endurance of some of these runners because none of them have run more than a mile and a half, so they are all entering uncharted territory and that can change the balance of things a lot. They haven't even run more than a mile and a quarter, so they will either gain a half mile which will be key to improving performance or they will run out of breath and start to falter in the last two furlongs.

I'll be honest with you. I've been in a bit of a dilemma because there are two horses I've been eyeing for the last few weeks to run here at Royal Ascot in this race and also in the King. Edward the Seven Stakes and I hoped they wouldn't collide, they'd run in separate races to make my job a little easier, but Sansa Law, you know how it is, they're both running in this race, so I had to do it. I put my thinking cap on what I did, I finally had to make a change the two horses um are the undefeated um twice bred elder aldarov and the other one is the derby seventh nahani now originally I went for nahani and I was going to say it you should back this one up on the six to one that was being offered on monday morning each way um trained by charlie appleby written by william buick uh my advice for the derby you may remember uh he was expected to race and be a horse with stamina to really uh uh, start rolling down the hill to the top and into the corner and kick, of course it all went wrong at first.

Those crazy people who had the fireworks show certainly didn't do Nahani any favors. The fireworks really livened it up. uh, he listed the break. He was always behind and finally held on in the closing stages to finish seventh. It was a really good effort. Now, I don't know how much that cost them, but they're going to get back to him pretty quickly, so they obviously feel that hard. horse who was really progressive before that with three very good wins including the blue ribbon trial, an epsom over a mile and a quarter, after two wins at a mile and a half they obviously feel he is ready to race again quickly , but having said all that and having decided that he would probably be the one I would recommend, I looked at the revised odds after Monday morning's statements and they're only going seven to two and that's not a price each way. to a point, but sometimes you have to go for value.

I am going to oppose Nahani. It could be that if he strays, which he could do, he might have a bit of savings, but my pick here will be Eldar Elderoff. now this horse trained by roger varian is the amount of david egan he is the one i was waiting for he was going to be my derby selection but of course he didn't run in the derby uh roger also chose not to run eden the horse, i gave you a tip that he came in fourth place for us in the Guinness with great odds, so both variation horses did not go to the derby.

I know they hold this horse in very high regard. He is two of two. Won on debut at Nottingham at the end of last season in October, it is often worth keeping an eye on the mile-plus Nottingham maidens, the late-maturing two-year-olds who are going to be good three-year-olds and he hacked him for five glasses and then uh he went to Newcastle to run on the all weather track there for a mile and a quarter which was on the 24th of May and he absolutely um uh hacked there now all weather sometimes it can be a bit iffy although you know it can sometimes prove to be a decent stepping stone as you may remember I used to go to uh kempton for group three there and run it before going to longshot etc but I must say having had a look to the Newcastle race form uh form is working remarkably um John Gosden's third horse Horniton uh won the next time out actually it was on Saturday at sunset he won by nine lenses in a maiden and was well filled by Eldar Alderov and the fifth horse there was a second in a doncaster maiden at the weekend, the seventh horse who was beaten by 11 lengths, lizzie jean, who attempted novice racing over a mile and three furlongs last week by three and a half lengths and the ninth horse that was 150 to one. that day at Newcastle, Gordon's jet was defeated, 20 lenses were knocked out of sight, he just went and won a catric maiden, eh, earlier this month too, so when you get 150 to one shots coming from the race to win even though it was a catering, win a maiden, after that the form has to deserve a proper look and I think that the elderly Alderov is a horse with great potential, obviously, Roger Varian has seen in his training that the horse is probably blessed with a little more stamina than him.

I had originally thought and decided to bet on this race instead of the king's head with the seven bets and he represents the value and at the time of this recording which will take place on Monday at lunchtime, it is available from 13 to 2 and So 13 to 2 each way for four places, I think it's worth a try, you might get sidetracked. You'll have to wait and see until Tuesday and Wednesday because this is a very early bulletin, but I think Eldar Aldarov is the value against Nahani. those are the two that I really think are worth focusing on in queen bars.

I'd be very surprised if they don't take part in the final, so that's my first race, I'm focusing on Royal Ascot on Wednesday 305, group two Queensfalls and finally Eldar Alderov is my choice now, I'll move on to later in the day and as you all know, nothing gets me going more than a big handicap, a big field handicap and I love getting stuck in a handicap shape, one of the biggest handicaps. of the week is Wednesday at Royal Ascot is the

hunt cup carefully pronounced over the huge field of a straight mile here can go 33 runners is on good ground to furnish and um this is having overlooked the two previous races the prince of Wales is betting where there are only five runners and the Duke of Cambridge where I can't understand it, but in this race at Royal Ascot, the Royal Hunt Cup, I think there are some very interesting problems now, obviously, it's a cavalry charge with a such a big field, I'm glad I don't comment on it, that's all I can say I used to do and you breathe deeply and a lot of imodium and hope for the best in these big field obstacles at Ascot and Goodwood. and elsewhere anyway, good luck to the commenters, whoever you are.

You need a little luck to run and you also need the tie to favor you because you don't always know which side will be preferred, so that's why. He was second in the race last year. He actually won the race on his side of the field, but caught some tartar. the form of the real-world dolphin horse that bolted out and turned out to be a proper group horse. Well, he's going to get better for his comeback this season in the thirst hunt cup. That was at the end of April. We know it handles well. on firm ground, we know he does well in a big field and he is only four pounds heavier than when he was second in the race last year and I think potentially this horse who is now maturing into a good five year old could become into a standard racing artist. possibly a group class this early just with the prices going up, I'm saying they are offering eight to one each way, you may get six spots available, you might find bookmakers going to seven or eight spots so be careful with that and compare prices because some may have higher prices of course depending on what your book looks like and where they need to balance out so Astro King is my first choice my second choice from the near side group towards the support side , as we will see them in our television images. drawn installed 29 so just a few outside the railing of the stands and that is symbolized trained by andrew balding and the amount of the very exciting young apprentice harry davis whose five pound claim could well prove crucial now symbolizes at first glance is a horse that seems to be uh, a soft surface is best, now you certainly handle soft ground well, but I don't think it's essential to your chance.

ascot

at five o'clock on Wednesday and then my third choice, well, is in the final race on Wednesday at Kensington Palace.

Now this one's for the Phillies and the mayors. It's on the mile-plus round course and, surprisingly, they are scheduling 23 runners. Now, that's a huge career field. round trip and there could be all kinds of hassles, so I have to say I wouldn't get too involved. I want to keep your bets to an absolute minimum but keep in mind that with 23 runners in the round course you do need a bit of luck in the race so it could be a tough race and some that are interesting here include the Herzia horse from irish raider joseph o'brien, who i think has a decent chance after a very good race, a third of 27 which was of course, on the straight course uh uh strange course in kara on the emerald mile last time now Sai bin Sarah does very well in the Royal Ascot Handicaps.

She has an interesting runner named White Moonlight who was a good two-year-old and three-year-old. Two weeks ago, he won both races and then was out for two years and ninemonths to finishing a very promising third place at Chelmsford, so he obviously struggled a lot now, um significantly, you would have thought it was a great opportunity. good pedigree, they would probably just send her out to the paddocks and start breeding from her when she was undefeated as a juvenile, but they decided to keep her in training and I think that's almost advice in itself so I think she's a must have be very careful uh roger varian uh he has the power of an angel and a murderer or I think he has chances and with greater chances pretty big chances don't tell claire by daniel and claire kubler uh I think he's someone who has a little bit of a squeaker in every way , but my choice is a horse called Spirit of the Bay Trade by Clive Cox, who is doing well at Royal Ascot and William Cox, his son is on board and claims three pounds.

Now this horse was really progressive last season starting from a pretty low mark on Handicaps, he raced four times over the summer and gained a total of 20 pounds, so he was very progressive, but he came close in two of his three races this season, even when he was beaten just ahead and
