a tractor or get one during World War II and stuff, so they made one of these little ones, let's get it running, she has been setting up for about 72

years

, it's been setting up long enough for the nylon rims to disintegrate on this side and most of the rim to just rust away on this side. These tires are about an eighth of an inch thick and some places are about a quarter of an inch thick, so it takes a lot to do that right there, she's got a little four-cylinder in her, we have to drag her out of here to take her back to the workshop, but we can actually work on it, but it's pretty cute, I guess that's what it's called. car, tractor, trucker, whatever you want to call it, it doesn't have brakes in the back or the front, so whoever was driving all this just used the gears to slow down and didn't really go very fast.

I figured she has the four cylinder in there and we don't know at this point if she's locked in or not. Come on, hopefully guys you can see that and we've got the pack rat pack in there, we've got the dirt daubers and the oil breather, that's never a good sign, let's close that back up, let's act like we didn't see it, It's got an electric starter right there, a generator and some old champions plug into it, but we're going to get it out of here and get it out. Come back to the shop and let's see what we can do.

More Interesting Facts About,

will it run after 72 years 1930 ford model aa doodle bug...

At least someone ripped the radiator hose off so the radiator wouldn't fill with water and crack the block, so I imagine it's a good old one. This hood is just folded here. First of all, I'm not really sure how it is here, it's all rusty. I'm going to try not to spoil it, come on, that was pretty easy and as you can see, we have the little old four cylinder, someone broke a spark plug. small ones, you would call them wires, but they're really not many wires, cut some of these sheets here and see what we're working with, well there's that one, we're missing this one, but we'll fix it. that with just a piece of wire, the little updraft carburetor fuel lines have since rusted out, we're involved in the crank, which is a good sign, good old champions, and now I'll leave most of this up . the motor for now until we get the leaf blower after letting it soak for a while and these big cans are much better than the ones with the little nozzle because they last a little longer when you let these things sit in the sun now really spray for a couple of hours with some pb blaster.

I went ahead and removed them from the top of the spark plugs which one took off the spark plug and this one came off easily so we can just throw a wrench at it. them and hopefully get them out of here I don't want to break any of them it's that important I know they're two different plug sizes so we get them and I guess we'll try to get this and drop it okay that's coming. Release a little bit, hopefully, the PB Blaster has had enough time to soak in there and keep us from breaking these stuck in here, so we'll give her some good sprays of this, fill them up and let her sit so the old man can The error for about an hour or so with the pb blaster there.

I'm going to give the good old crank another chance and hopefully it

turn. The engine mounts on the front are a little worn, so it's like Push the crank down a little bit, you have to put a boot on it, but oh honey, it's not locked in anymore. It is a good signal. It is too easy. You must have a rod or something. There is no way. Is so easy. come on, that gets too easy, that valve is closed, you can't see the available is pretty chewed up there, but I've spun it three or four 100 more times, it feels like it's setting and I let it sit for a while with this. valve opening this closed valve to start loosening things up, the cooling

go off on this thing, so we'll put the good old MSD Cool on it.
We have a set of four spark plugs here that we're going to put in it and I'm going to pour this in there, I always use something very thick, well a thick type of oil, this hyper lubricant works very well and the engine stops the leaks, but I'm getting started to like this stuff better, it doesn't smoke as bad and it's a little thinner, but it still goes around the rings and helps generate compression and not eating helps prevent it from eating the cylinder walls when you first fire them, so that we'll give her a good sample of that and she'll smoke like a freight train when you first light her up, but she needs this to help her build compression and just not eat herself alive because she's been brewing for so long.
Well it's not as bad as it could be but it's a lot of dirt dabbers I'm not even sure how they got there as if there wasn't an even hole for them to get into. It doesn't look like it, but somehow they got in there. Try not to break the lid. Oh my lord, is it there? One set of points here at least are all dry, so we don't have to wait for them to be unwell, as you can see, they don't have much spring left, so today we have a new set. I'm going to throw these bad boys in there and hope this solves our problems.
I think we're just not getting a good spark through them because everything is rusty and they're not really firing like they should. We've been playing with this for a while. now and we've got the top plate off, I put the other set of points in there and well, it didn't work very well and I'm saying this is our problem down here, it's so dirty that the spring is not bad. but the rest of this is just terrible, all the wires are corroded and that's the problem, while it's grounding right there, you can see all that rust there, let's just pull this right out over here and get rid of it for now, but that's our top plate, this

model

h, you can remove it, you can also if you're working on a model a, you can buy this and it's the easiest thing to do, it's like 40 bucks and it's an upgraded version, it's got the capacitor here. the points on it so we have everything connected now the condenser is connected everything is wired like it should be except the capacitors outside the distributor because it wasn't coming out I didn't want to break it and I don't want to remove the exhaust manifold so let's Pull the carburetor, hit it with some ether and hopefully it will work.
I did it well. This one lights up. Now we are getting sparks through the cap. I had to fight forever. a grounding problem and we'll see what we get try again oh there we go so that's always a good sign she started hitting some of those cylinders they don't seem like they want to run just try again at least wants to run She's sparking, so as you can see, we removed the intake manifold from the exhaust manifold because we have some exhaust valves that are still hanging and well, here are some of our problems, this thing is completely filled with a nest of dirt, If you can see, that's why I always need to remove them, but that dirt daub covered that hole perfectly, so that's one of the problems.
This one has a bunch of rust looking junk on it and I don't even know what it is. Oh, there's a meeting there. way with this and it's full of junk and this screw fell out of there right here. I'm going to say it's been there for probably 80

years

or more and all over here there's rust on the valves and stuff so let's take a chisel and knock the bottom out of these if you ever do this remember you knock the bottom out. of the valve with the stem, you never hit the top or just break it almost every time, so we'll get to that. and hopefully get these valves to open and close and get this old one working fine.
There is still no one to cooperate. We removed the intake and exhaust manifold again and removed the valve inspection cover because you can see. this one is stuck you can't really tell because it's touching the lifter this one here is stuck this one here isn't stuck because you can see the lifters loose there this one is stuck that one is also stuck so we're left with quite a few valves that just don't want to cooperate, as you can see they will go up but they won't come back down so we have to go in there and clean them up a little bit and spray them down. with some pb blaster this one here I think we get to where she's about to start moving listen not so much and this is the same way sometimes she has to move them up and down and you can make them let go like this one right here. and here we go, not only is it terrible for you, we have rescheduled her again and we fit perfectly with that, I should have thought about it, maybe I don't know yet, we will move her from the initial floor because I don't think she wants to run out of gas yet three times where We have good sparks so there shouldn't be anything stopping it from working because we have pretty good compression.
Oh, there we go, we go, we go, oh, oh, most of our problems. no, nothing like that, here we go, we have the old

doodle

bug up and running after being abandoned in the woods for 72 years, it runs like the day it was parked, it sounds great, I said at the beginning it was a 28, it actually is a 30 and it's an AA truck, the biggest one, basically the two ton and a half ton truck of its day, just like the old GMC 29, someone cut it up and made a scribble on it, the back wheels are broken and I mean, like rusty. completely off, that one is about to go, that's why I left it on the trailer, unfortunately it won't drive anywhere because of that and the transmission stuck in gear like I mean rusty, solid there, that's why we had I have to push the clutch and I think that's why the engine was stuck at first but it may have been a little stuck but thanks everyone for looking we can do something with this old car because I have another truck frame and I think everyone the body panels. to put one together so since she works we might as well put that motor in there and do something with it but thanks everyone for watching please consider leaving a like and maybe subscribing because we have a lot more content like this and some stuff which are even older.
I have a car that's over 100 years old and we're about to put it into operation here and it has a V8 engine so thank you all for watching and I'll see you in the next video.
