Voice Evolution of MINNIE MOUSE - 91 Years Compared & Explained | CARTOON EVOLUTION

In this series we have briefly discussed the

evolution

and history of Minnie Mouse from her beginnings with Mickey in 1928 to the modern era. However, we have yet to cover the

evolution

of Minnie's

voice

provided by a surprisingly large number of

voice

actors and the three main voice actors from Disney studio artists have provided Minnie's voice over the decades. However, she did not have her first official voice for several

years

. Walt Disney would be the first voice of Minnie who gave her life in some of the first shorts between 1928 and 1929. In 1928 Marjorie Ralston, one of the studio's incas, took over vocal duties for only a couple of shorts and stepped away from the role. quite quickly due to his immense shyness.

Minnie's first major vocal honors would be Massolit Gaana, another Inca Donna spoke fluent Spanish and won the role when in the 1930s the Cactus Boy required Minnie to speak in Spanish. Walt loved Ganas so much that he voiced the character in more than 40 shorts over 11

years

, at which point he left the studio to spend more time with his family in 1941 between 1942 and the silent film star of 1952. , Ruth Clifford, would provide the voice of Minnie in over 10 short films, leaving the role only when the Disney studio retired its major

cartoon

characters in the early 1950s. Minnie did not appear in a speaking role for nearly 30 years and when Russi Taylor, the real-life wife of the late Wayne Alwine, did it in 1986, the vain voice of Mickey would take over the role.

Taylor continues to voice the character to this day. Over the years, a small number of other artists have voiced Minnie in audio productions, most notably Janet. Waldo, the original voice of Judy Jetson and Morticia Addams, in this special companion video we will explore the voice actors who have brought Minnie to life in major productions without further comment from me.
