67101C Vex Spin Up Endgame Expansion Explanation

Apr 08, 2024
Hello, this is team

67101c

and this is our long-awaited rope puller explainer video. He was fully capable of covering all the tiles and in one of our skill runs in Haunted he managed to get 26 tiles or 78 points, so we have linear sliding. As our main mechanism, here and then we have these little inserts with the locking bars and the screws, which are what we're actually shooting through the field, so the first part of the system is the release, which is this C channel of three lengths that is mounted on a screw. The joint has proper braces which are 7/8 inch and a quarter spacers, let me use a casting so we can do a magic cantilever without the extra support and then this would connect to a cylinder which we ended up having to remove due to Due to limited resources and a rebuild it would move up and down so as you can see this would be down when the cylinder is down and then when the cylinder moves up that latch is what it moves up so to actually load this string shooter projectile it has a rubber band on the bottom you can see it's held on by a long five and then we have some spacers on there and those spacers are a little bit further back just because we're going to need a little bit more tension on this specific launcher, so when you load it up, you hold it back there and you just push back until this thing locks into place.

Now one thing we have to adjust very closely on each of these launchers is the screw head that's there, you have to unscrew it just a little bit. a little bit to get it to catch on that latch, if you unscrew it too much it won't actually come loose, but if you don't have it screwed in enough it will fire prematurely and there's nothing special about the way we mount this. I just put it on with a brace, it doesn't have to be mounted very securely or anything, so this is attached here, now the other part here is our rope, we used some thread, just from Hobby Lobby, have Please note that after the game manual update in early November, this is no longer a competition legal rope as it is not 1.8 inches thick, but this is what we used for our Haunted Robot and it was legal at the time so that's how we store the Then to shoot it we would take it out of that two inch C channel and put it in the three inch long C channel and then we would hang it there and since it's angled , it won't fall out at all during the match, but then when this comes up, then the way we would rewind this string is we had a quick swap system, so we just have a flat nut clamped in the middle, very easy to remove and then the whole system can just Come here so we can have several of these for a robot if we wanted and it's just a seven long one with the spacers and then to wind the rope, take it, you have to leave it on in the three lights first and then you can screw it back on thanks so yeah nothing too fancy and it's not really that sturdy but it didn't have to be we didn't have any issues with this being loose or anything so yeah , that's pretty much his entire ending and then we would just have a launcher there, another one there, another one there, another one there and there used to be another one there, so here are some more photos of the final game when it was fully assembled and we have a lot of videos of the robot in There's also action all over the channel, and if there isn't already, there should be some good things coming out of our new

endgame

and our new robot.
