Create this side table, we're going to take the first planner, turn it over and use a little bit of construction adhesive to extend it around the outside edge and the second planner we'll turn over and place right on top of it. there so the bottoms meet in the middle, now we need to add the top so we're going to take the same construction adhesive run a bead of glue around the top edge and you're going to need a wooden round. for the top now depending on the size of your planter will determine the size of your top you just want to make sure your wooden round is larger than the diameter of your planters you will place it right on top of there and then press down firmly to make sure everything is connected, you can also paint the top.

If you don't want to stain it depending on your style so be creative make it your own now we have a seam in the center where these two connect and also some of that construction adhesive that has spilled so to remedy that we are going to take our rope from Dollar Tree and we're going to roll it up a few times. I simply tied a knot in the back of mine to secure it. I also used a little construction adhesive if you don't want a knot in the back, but it's super easy, came together in only about 10 minutes, was very affordable, and a great piece you can use indoors and outdoors for these upcoming projects.

We will use our three nautical ropes from Dollar Tree, the cotton ones, the jute ones and also the decorative ones, but first we will use the decorative ones. You will also need some Styrofoam balls found again at It's good to buy at Dollar Tree a few different sizes, you can make different sizes of these jute balls, they make great bowl fillers and are very easy to make using a little hot glue, you will put a little on one part of your styrofoam ball and then as you wrap your decorative string you will add a little hot glue wrapping it around until the entire styrofoam ball is covered.
This is actually such a quick and easy process that you can do several of these at the same time and I. I thought it would be fun to show you a fun way to display them at Adobo, so these are not cool jute balls that you can buy ready made at Dollar Tree, but you can also make your own if you can't find them. I paired them with more Styrofoam balls that I covered with glass marbles from Dollar Tree and then added one of my Juke decorative balls that we just created. You can add some other fillers from Dollar Tree like these starfish and they even have beautiful sea glass that you can stuff in there too.
This is a fun way to display some summer items at a really low price. but how beautiful, our next project will use the cotton nautical rope. Let's do another nautical project that is so quick and easy. We're going to make some rope coasters, so we'll start with some stiff felt. We draw a circle and then we use scissors to cut out what will be the base of our coasters and then very similar to the Styrofoam balls, we are going to wrap our rope around so add a little bit of hot glue. in the center of your felt and then as you wrap the rope around the center you will add hot glue to make sure our rope stays on our felts and stays secure overseas once we get to the end of our felt.
We'll make sure to tape the end really well before using our scissors and then cut it at an angle so it looks like it curls and ends. You will also trim any extra felt around the edges. and that's literally all there is to it, this rope is really great as it's cotton so it will help collect moisture from your glasses. We love sitting on our front porch and these coasters have been a wonderful addition to our small sitting area. You're also going to need one of these awesome solar lights from Dollar Tree and they even have these cute hanging lanterns.
I took three of the blue ones, if you can't find them you can also use different vases or you can also use mason. jars for this we are going to remove the hangers from these lanterns, however, I kept them. I didn't want to throw them away because they are easily added back to other containers, so this went into my craft stash. You can see they were just cut out. on and off, so whenever you have something that is reusable put it away. I'm going to make three of these, but you may need to make more or less depending on where you're going to use them, we're going to make solar light lanterns and we're going to decorate them with the cotton nautical rope, so what we're going to do is take our solar light, we're going to remove, move the fillet part to the bottom and we're just going to use the top part, I always suggest pulling that tab to make sure your solar lights actually work, test them before you start using them, you hate finish your project and then the lights don't work, let's take that nautical rope and wrap it around the silver edge of our solar light, it will really decorate it.
We'll also add it to the background of these lanterns. If you are using a glass jar or something, you can also add that to the bottom. From that I also suggest that if you are going to use these outdoors, you use them perhaps as a super glue or something that does not melt in the sun and heat and that way the rope will not fall off. on hot days hot glue just isn't good for outdoor use and then to put them all together all you have to do is place the top of your solar light right on top of these containers and it gives it a beautiful summery nautical look and then Of course these are beautiful during the day but especially when it's night they really come to life and add such a beautiful glow and ambiance to your outdoor space.
Now let's make a pretty vase that can turn any clear glass container into one that looks like Sea Glass with this Sea Glass Spray Paint. I went ahead and reviewed this clear glass that is from Hobby Lobby, super affordable. I always wait until it's 50 off. I gave it two good coats and this is the final result after drying it, that's it. pretty, we're going to decorate it with the natural nautical rope for this project again with our hot glue, we're going to start from the bottom, add the nautical rope, hold it in place and then as you wrap around the top of your vase. you're going to add glue as you go.
I didn't go up to this face because I obviously love that sea glass look, so I wanted some of that to show through as well, so I went up about a third. By the way, I just glued and wrapped like I did, that's fine, you can leave it as is or if you're going for that nautical look. I love it, the Dollar Tree is carrying these amazing starfish this year. I just added one of those to the front with some hot glue and to dress it up even more Dollar Tree had these awesome metal signs, this was a round chalkboard sign that I thought would be a nice stand for this to sit on so ya I had this raised tray sitting on top there and I made a really cute little centerpiece for this vase.
You could add some seagrass in there or just leave it plain. It's just a very nice decorative piece overseas. You can also make your own monogram sign with the help of a canvas from Dollar Tree. I liked these. the planes that do not have wood around the edges, we will combine them with some paint stirring rods. I find them very

cheap

on Amazon and what we're going to do is make a firm style wooden palette just using that canvas as a background and then hot glue the paint stirring rods right on top. My canvas is eight by ten and these paint stir sticks are about 12 inches long many times these paint stir sticks are quite rough.
So if you put some sandpaper on them, that will smooth them out very easily. Now we're going to give it this kind of faux stained wood look with the help of some chalk paint that I just diluted with obviously just a little bit of paint with water. I put it on and then took a paper towel to remove some of it and also pushed it down into the wood, that way you could see a lot more of the wood grain, so once I was happy with that and dried it , We'll go back with our sanding block that you can also find at Dollar Tree and go over all of that to give it more of a weathered wood look.
We will use our cotton nautical robe for this part. It helps if you take your nautical rope and add a little hot glue to the end to keep it from unraveling, so I did that on each cut end of the rope and this is the part where you will add your own personal monogram. obviously ours is old so I cut out all the little pieces, folded them too to make sure it was a little bit thicker so you could see them and then I just hot glued all those pieces to the front so here we go.
To dress this up a little bit more with the help of four-ply Dew, which is just a thicker jute, we'll wrap it around the edges back, tie a knot, wrap it a few more times, and then tie it. again in a knot in the back and that will secure our rope to the bottom of our sign. I repeated this for the top as well, so it has a really nice farmhouse vibe, but if you want to add a more nautical touch, you can add the starfish all the way to the bottom like I did here, depending on how you dress it up, make it work for your own home.
I think this is a very simple and easy project and also very personalized. Now let's make a really simple and easy hanging lantern with the help of a glass jar again from Dollar Tree, we are going to make the handle by cutting a small piece of nautical rope and then using a little hot glue to glue each of the ends on the edge of our jar, now we're going to cover that kind of twisted edge with our jute and we're going to twist it all the way around, it's also going to help keep those handles down and then just cut it off once we get to the end.
I left the edges hanging off the sides because I like that rustic look, but you can also cut off those extra pieces to give it a cleaner look. Disclaimer here definitely don't light a real candle in this as it will probably burn your string so I would suggest an LED candle you can also put sand in the bottom of this or glass beads from Dollar Tree to really dress it up. Another really cute summer project is to make a little beehive with the help of these small pots from Dollar Tree. They come three in a package and we are going to wear our nautical. rope and we're going to wrap around the outside edge, but we'll stop when we get to the top.
I wanted to make a little handle for the top and it will also give us some room to keep wrapping to achieve that. beehive shape, so we're going to take a little piece of this nautical rope to create a loop at the top and we're going to use our hot glue to put it in place and as you can see, we're going to continue. Concluding that once the glue sets, this is what it will start to look like, that jute will also hold or cover all those pieces for our Loop and here we have what looks like a beehive, so cute that we are going to see this a little more, although we need to add the little hole, so this is just a piece of black felt cut into a circle hot glued.
We're going to cover those edges with some four-ply jute around the edges. and as I scaled it down, I thought it would also be cute to add some buffalo plaid ribbon to the edge. This is so cute on a tiered tray like I have here in a kitchen, in an entryway, such a fun addition for summer. to the core of your farm now that we have made many ideas for summer, let's make other seasons and daysholidays also beginning with Easter. I found this amazing doormat at Dollar Tree. I don't know why, but he made me think of a bunny's skin. that's what we're going to create a bunny doormat, we need to create a template, so this is a piece of cardstock from Dollar Tree.
I traced the size of the doormat there and then cut it to the appropriate size. I found this cute little bunny. I printed the silhouette on Google and I'm going to use my projector to project this silhouette on the wall, then I taped the cardstock and then you're going to take a marker or a pencil and you're going to circle the silhouette or the shadow. that's casting and if you don't have a projector and you're creative enough you can even make your own freehand design, use this idea for different holidays and seasons too, this bunny turns out so cute so here's how it looks after tracing it everything, we'll take it back to our work surface and we'll take our scissors and cut out that foreign design.
Once you've cut everything out, you can turn the mat over. Let's draw the outline of this template on the back. It definitely helps to use a bright colored marker. That way you can see your lines when it's time to cut all this out. Now let's take a razor blade. In fact, I use a combination of a couple of things. A very sharp razor blade is the first thing I use and then go through everything. those red pen marks and it takes a few passes to get you through the backing of your doormat once you're most of the way through, then I used scissors to then go in and cut the actual mat so take some time and it takes a little bit of muscle, but if you take your time it doesn't take long, so this is what it looks like and we have our cute bunny silhouette cut out, but it's not finished yet and we want to avoid it. moving, so to do that we're going to use this cotton nautical rope, we're going to attach it there with a little bit of hot glue, but this is going to be special hot glue, these are actually fabric hot glue sticks, again, you can find this on Amazon too, and it's very quick and easy, just surround all the edges with hot glue and then secure the rope as you go, definitely don't forget to hit the center where the legs cross in the middle and that's what really finishes it off this foreigner.
What I like most about this project is, of course, that it's so cute, but it's also usable, so you can put it on your front or back door and use it as a doormat. I think this would also be really cute if you put a buffalo plaid layered rug underneath or something to really make this pop. Now let's move on to fall or even Halloween. We're going to use one of these carving pumpkins from Dollar Tree that recently started making them white. which I really appreciate when it comes to crafts so I don't have to paint them white before I can use them so that's what this one is we're literally going to take our nautical rope and we're going to hot glue it around it.
Around our pumpkin, it took about three rolls of our nautical rope to cover it. We're not going down to the center, although we are going to drill a hole. I actually added a branch on Dead Stick from our yard as the stem and then finished wrapping it and hot gluing the edge/end to finish this off. You can even personalize this with some other things like some leaves, you can add some cotton stems, you can add some ribbon, these are little burlap leaves that I cut from a Dollar Tree ribbon and added some cotton flower to the front, very quick, very easy and I love fall decorating so this definitely has me excited for the upcoming fall season.
I have a couple of Christmas ideas for you Dollar Tree. I also just started wearing macrame cord. This is like a smaller version of our cotton nautical robe. This is incredible. I use it for a lot of projects and finding it at Dollar Tree was an awesome surprise and we're going to make a jingle. Bell garland with this, the jingle bells are also from Dollar Tree, these are the largest size they carry and we are going to individually tie a jingle bell to our garland, the garland is our macrame cord and we will start in the middle so I started by cutting the macrame cord to the size of the space where I wanted it and then I folded that piece in half to find the center and that's where I started tying my first Jingle Bell you don't want to tie.
I tightened it all the way down because you want to have a little bit of wiggle room there so we can then adjust them and move them around once I had them tied to the rope and instead I went ahead and cut the tails off. and worked from the center outwards. I also love these clear command style hooks from Dollar Tree. They are great quality, they hold up really well and they are also removable which is why I love them so much so I will be adding them. In each corner of my console table, this is how we are going to hang this garland, we will just tie them with simple knots and make sure it is centered, like I said, you can move the Jingle Bells, you can add this to a console table like the one I'm showing you here, fireplace, you couldn't even tie it to a table or anything and use it on your Christmas

tree

, which I love too, it's a very versatile but simple and easy Christmas decoration piece, foreign, here's another way to use it. macrame cord and our Jingle Bells, like I said, these are the largest size, they come six to a pack and we are going to make little snowmen with these little ornaments, first we will need to prepare our rope, you are also going to need a yarn needle big like the one here, you're going to put the thread through that needle, take it out the other end and we also need to tie a pretty big knot on the other end so our Jingle Bells don't fall off, so I made about four or five knots to make sure it was big enough, but you also want it to go through the bottom here, so first we're going to go through that criss-cross end to where the hanger part is and you want that knot to be. able to slide through that opening but not come out the other end, so it takes a little bit of work to get it in there, squish it to get it to come out and then we'll go ahead and do the same thing feeding. on the other two Jingle Bells you will need three per alien snowman.
It also helps a lot to add a little hot glue between each layer so it becomes one piece and then it's not so wavy and will hang straight. In order for you to turn this into an ornament every time, we need to take that extra amount of string at the top and just fold it in half and tie a knot that way we have our loop and we can hang it from our Christmas

tree

right now. At this point we can really start adding all the details to make it look like a snowman. We'll do this with the help of some black felt, just creating a really simple top hat shape and then hot gluing it to the knot.
Cute red buffalo plaid ribbon that is tied in the center to make a scarf and then cut a little to add a little accent to the hat. It really is that simple to use Dollar Tree items to create your own Christmas decorations, now back to everyday life. DIY for home decor, this is my inspiration piece, it's a doormat that I found on Amazon for over fifty

dollar

s. Today I'm going to make my own using things I already had on hand, including Dollar Tree nautical ropes, some four-ply beans, and also one of Dollar Tree's door mats helped me as a base.
I had to create several of these circles very similar to the coasters we made at the beginning of this video and we only made three to start, that will be our starting point for the center. of this doormat you will have to make 11 of these circles in total three for the central part and then eight for the next row of circles and you will simply place them in a kind of rainbow style pattern that goes from one side of the doormat to the other, in I'm actually using that doormat as a place to glue all of this up, so once I had everything laid out, I went in with some thicker jute that's from Walmart, super

cheap

, I think it was only about five

dollar

s.
For this roll that lasts and lasts I used that inspiration photo and I just glued and worked around this pattern until it looked like the picture and you can see there's an outline, there's a pretty thick rainbow right in the middle and then another one in the bottom and I just worked my way through and then added more on the bottom to really tie this whole look together and that's pretty much all there is to it if you just wanted the doormat look you could cut the outside of the mat in white and black, you just have that semi-circle shape, but I actually really liked the contrast and the layered look here, so I left mine like this again, it's very pretty, very boho chic and can also be worn.
I love creating imitations. because you are saving a lot of money but you are still getting a very similar look to the original. The following is another flowerpot appearance hoax I saw. This also saves a ton of money by creating it ourselves, we need two of In these Dollar Tree planters we're going to cut off the end of one and we're going to hot glue them together basically because this will give us a conical shape instead of just one with a large opening at the top, will also extend. To make it taller, we're going to hot glue the seams and then reinforce it with some duct tape in the middle, which will really make it strong so it doesn't fall apart once we get it all together.
I'm going in with our nautical rope. I'm not going to lie, it took about nine lengths or nine pieces of this rope from Dollar Tree to cover the whole thing because it's pretty big, but I'll show you here in just a second it's for a pretty big tree, so for an investment 15 versus Pier One's 50, I think we still saved a lot of money and got a very similar look so you can see again the whole concept of using our hot tree. Paste and wrap and paste and wrap and paste until you reach the top. This is still one of my favorite Dollar Tree DIY projects and one I've had for about four years.
It looks so elegant you would never know it. It was made with only Dollar Tree items, thank you.
