Tom Jones Invitational in Gainesville, Florida, we've already seen many of the

world

's best athletes bring their speed to this track in the women's 200M. We saw Nigeria's Favor Oili absolutely kill the track with a time of 22.33%. with a smashing 19.90 second performance that actually places him as the

fastest

athlete in the

world

in the 200 MERS right now, barely bettering the previous world best of let tboo from Botswana who ran a time of 19.94 %, but the race that was easily the most What was expected that day was the men's 200 meter Olympic development race with a host of world-class sprinters.

In this race we had Josephus Lyles Joseph Fon ble Courtney Lindsay Matthew bowling Z jier jereem Richards and Nathaniel Mitchell Blake. This 200 meter race was easily one of the most hyped and deep feelings we have seen so far in

2024

and

just

like the previous 200 meter race where Orot ran a new world league, we saw another world number one at this event immediately. Courtney Lindsay absolutely exploded out of the blocks and her jaw dropped. The field almost instantly made a pretty strong statement during the first half and although Liberia's Joseph Fon B was closing quite hard during the second half as he always does, it wasn't enough to catch Lindsay who came in first in this race .

With a time of 19.88 seconds this is again the world's

fastest

time so far in 2024 and congratulations are to be made to Orot who held the world's fastest time this season for around 30 minutes so let's thank him for now finishing very close in second place. with a very solid time was Joseph Fonble in 20.06 seconds followed by Jer in third place at 20.15 and Jereem Richards in fourth at 2.35; However, this race belonged entirely to Courtney Lindsay, who is making a big name for herself so far this outdoor season. Fast forward to 2023, and Lindsay had a very strong performance at last year's NCA Championships, finishing first in the 100 with a 9.89, followed by another incredible 200 met with a 19.85% from Blake and also from AEM Blake, who, as many of you remember, ran an indoor time of 6.45. seconds for the indoor 60m, so beating him was a big deal and now, with a time of 19.88 seconds to her name, she is clearly looking to make the Olympic team this year.
