Gangsters Kidnap This Couple, Unaware That The Boyfriend Is A Psychopath

The film begins in the deep dark forest, where a young girl screams and runs barefoot for her life. The woman is heiress Emma Ward, who tries her best to flee, but ends up stepping on the sharp pieces of glass. Despite her acute pain, she bravely removes the fragment and continues her race. But as soon as she approaches the road, she gets caught in a trap and is suspended in the air. Screaming for help, she uses the shard and writes "Emma Alive" on the bark of a nearby tree. And what will happen next is unknown. The scene changes to a

driving on a highway, Betty, and an unidentified man referred to as "Driver", traveling across the country.

Betty is upset because they have to move out of town and she blames the man sitting next to her, who is apparently trying to cheer her up. Before night falls, the

couple

decides to stay somewhere to rest. Upon arriving at a nearby hotel, Driver meets the receptionist and hands him her credit card to make the payment. However, Driver's identity is unknown and the receptionist says his name is unusual. Later, while watching TV in his room, the couple watches the news about the missing girl we saw in the previous scene, "Emma." The report mentions that detectives arrived at the tree Emma marked and that the engravings appear to be about six months old.

Here we can also see that Betty has a scar on her stomach, for which her partner apologizes. Meanwhile, on the other side of the story, a gang of thieves led by Hoag is robbing a house. The robbers include Hoag's brother Ethan, his girlfriend Tamara, Denny, and Flynn, who is pretty useless but is still in the group because he is Hoag's daughter's

. While the house is robbed, its occupants return unexpectedly. The wealthy family returns to their grand mansion, but soon their excitement turns to horror at the sight of the group of thieves. Realizing that they are in danger, the father of that family begins dialing frantically, but before he can call the police, Flynn begins shooting at them, murdering the entire family.

Hoag becomes angry at the senseless killing and yells at him for killing them. The sound of gunshots must have alerted the police and now everyone has to leave. Let's go back to Betty and her partner, who ask her about dinner while she's in bed. Betty is upset and comments that the driver should maybe ask her other girlfriend about it. The couple then goes out to dinner at a nice restaurant across from a gas station. Inside the restaurant, they are waited on by Hoag's daughter, Amber, who works there, and soon after Hoag and his gang, hungry for something, enter the same restaurant.

, Flynn, being the most useless member of the gang, decides to make her move and instantly makes his way to her table. The couple first ignores him, but then warns him to get lost. Flynn's ego couldn't handle the rejection and he begins to harass Betty. The physical fight between them almost begins, but before Driver can make a move, Hoag and his crew arrive, forcing Flynn to leave. Hoag apologizes to the couple and reminds Flynn not to shit where he eats. However, the nightmare is not over for the couple, because when they return home, Useless Flynn breaks the driver's window and causes a car accident.

Thinking that the couple is rich and carrying very valuable items, Flynn steals their vehicle and drives it back home. He thinks they can get Driver's bank code and other things, and tries to involve Hoag and his brother Ethan in his evil plans. But Hoag becomes angry and warns him that one more misstep will lead to his end. As Driver and Betty gradually open their eyes, they find themselves trapped in a gas station with their hands tied to a chair. Soon, Ethan arrives there and threatens to kill Betty by holding a dagger to her neck. But of course, it seems that Betty is already tired of living with Driver.

She tells him that she will see him in the afterlife and presses her neck against the blade of the dagger. Seeing

Flynn and Tamara struggle to get her into the house, while the others watch from inside the house.

As the two bring the girl into the house, Hoag and the rest come downstairs when they hear the commotion. At

She mentions that the owner of the car she is trapped in is dangerous, which is an indication that the driver is a brutal person. She then warns them, saying that Driver must be on his way to murder them all in cold blood. Amber then appears, saying that she couldn't locate Ethan, and the girl is sure that Ethan is already dead at that point.

Following Hoag's orders, Denny and Tamara head to the gas station to check on Ethan. When Denny and Tamara get there, they are unprepared for what awaits them. And as expected, they are horrified to see Ethan's bloody and lifeless body lying on the ground. They also find Betty's dead bodies there, while the driver is nowhere to be seen. The two then load Ethan's corpse into the van and take it back to his hideout. Suddenly, Amber realizes that she has seen the girl somewhere on television before. And here the girl is revealed to be Emma Ward, the girl we saw at the beginning of the film. She is a rich heiress who disappeared after 14 of her friends were murdered at a party, and Driver is responsible for the massacre. However, the biggest news is that the Ward family is offering a $2 million reward for any information leading to their daughter's recovery. Soon Denny and Tamara arrive with grim expressions on their faces and deliver the terrible news about Ethan's death. Seeing his brother die, Hoag becomes angry and decides to find Driver at any cost.

After Flynn and Denny move Ethan's corpse to a shed, the corpse suddenly wakes up, but we are very surprised when Driver unexpectedly appears from inside his body. Meanwhile, Emma attacks the gang members and tries to run away from her, but is stopped by Hoag. At the same time, Emma notices the driver standing right outside, covered in blood. She then tells Hoag that she will now wait until the driver kills them all. After washing his body, Driver walks to his truck, where he changes his clothes and prepares himself with his multiple weapons. As Hoag and his team leave to find Driver, a steel arrow suddenly hits Hoag and pierces his chest.

Danny is also shot by the traps Driver set up earlier. Flynn and Tamara begin shooting at random while Driver has set several traps, but they are soon forced to retreat. The flashback shows the driver locking himself in a room with her, where she would live until he was alive, because he was the only one who could free her from her.

After telling Emma this, she taught him how to save her life before cutting an artery in her own neck. It is then revealed that Emma was the one who saved her life. With the van exploded and Hoag dead, a fight breaks out between Amber and Tamara. But before the fight can get worse, there is a knock on the door, forcing the group to check the situation. However, when they peek through the door, they find a bag hanging outside. Flynn tries to take a closer look and Hoag's ring appears to be hanging with the bag. Seeing this, Flynn becomes angry, and when he kicks the bag, pieces of Hoag's meat fall to the ground, ultimately horrifying everyone with this scene.

Afterwards, Danny and Amber plan to escape using a broken down jeep from their garage. They manage to get safely into the garage, but when they try to start the engine, the jeep malfunctions, forcing Denny to go out and fix it. Later, while Tamara is showering, Flynn starts harassing Emma, ​​but since she thinks quickly, Emma excuses him and heads to the bathroom. She's afraid because Flynn won't let her leave alive, but just when hope seems lost, Tamara steps in and offers Emma her own weapon and a chance to fight. Flynn is taking Emma out when the sheriff finally arrives at the motel and asks Flynn to check her ID. Flynn, without a second thought, kills the sheriff with a single blow.

Meanwhile, Driver suddenly appears in the bathroom and instantly kills Tamara. After learning of her death in the bathroom, Emma escapes from her, while Flynn chases her, just as Driver's car hits him and sends him flying. Watching the driver, Emma begins to shoot him, but before she can kill him, she realizes that she has run out of bullets. Emma's heart pounded as she had no choice but to run for her life. But soon, Driver came running after her. The psychopath begs her to take him back, but Emma's survival instinct kicks in and she attacks him with a metal pipe.

Flynn suddenly appears with a shotgun and shoots them, but the driver pushes her away and takes the bullet from her. The driver survives thanks to his Kevlar vest, leading to a fight between the two. The two men engage in brutal hand-to-hand combat, each determined to emerge victorious. As Flynn is about to shoot Driver, Emma suddenly knocks Flynn out and grabs the shotgun. She claims that she must be the only one who will kill Driver. Emma's heart races as she points the shotgun at Driver. But despite her desperate attempt, she cannot kill him because she forgets to insert the new cartridge into the shotgun.

Impressed by her bravery, the driver approaches Emma and tells her that she is now free of her.
