I'm using a retractable blade just to cut around the seal to make it easier to remove. now it should come out pretty quick here's our new one, the best way to lay it, lay it at an angle and then you can bend it, just start laying it under the shingles, don't be afraid to bend it because it's very flexible, but it's sturdy at the same time, We know we have a good seal on the top of this boot, but just to be safe I'm going to put some rubber cement around the bottom of this boot to make sure we have a good seal between it and the shingles, the trunk has some pre-arranged nail holes so I'm going to go ahead and drive some in and that will help keep it in place, a little bit of roofing cement over the nails and I'm done here while I'm up here, there's one more. area I want to work on this event which is above the garage and it's pretty old and ramshackle it's probably been here as long as the house so I'm going to replace this one with a new one let's have some staples too and these are coming out of done, it feels pretty loose, let me see if I can get this off without having to break the seal around the shingles that worked, if this new one fits right, all I have to do is nail this one in. down and we are ready to continue.
