Apr 02, 2024
Hello dazzlers, welcome back to my channel. I hope you are safe and doing well. In today's video, I showed you how I made a really beautiful Z gallery

inspired

wall

mirror

using

inexpensive items, some of which came from Dollar Tree, so if you're interested, then. Just keep looking. I'm starting with this 20-by-12-inch beveled

mirror

I bought from Michaels. I removed the black tabs from the back of the mirror and then used a strong adhesive to attach pieces of

dollar

tree

wood

along the outside perimeter. Of my mirror, the

wood

en pieces don't fit together perfectly, so I had some small gaps on each side of the mirror, but that's okay.

Two hours later, I flipped the mirror and added additional wood pieces

using

some wood glue I picked up. from Dollar Tree, here's how I arranged my wood pieces on my 12 inch side. I include step by step how I placed each of the wood pieces for those who may be interested in recreating this design if you are not interested in seeing them. steps, feel free to fast forward the video. I wiped off the excess wood glue, but you can also wait until the glue dries and then use a sanding sponge to sand away the dried wood glue, as always I used a warm hair dryer to help.

I sped up the drying process and then repeated the same design on the other 12 inch side of my mirror. I then created a similar design on my 20 inch sides and as you can see on this side my wood pieces didn't fit together perfectly so I'm using my miter box that I bought at Joanne's for about ten

dollar

s with a coupon a while ago . I will use this tool to cut one of the pieces of wood to size. I added the same pattern to my other 20 inch side and Once my wood glue was dry, I gave my design a coat of black acrylic paint that I already had at

home

.

This is what the base design looked like, of course, the whip pieces can be stained or painted a different color to match your personal style and fit better. my style I decided to cover my design with silver metallic spray paint and other materials that I had left over from previous projects that I usually create on the fly, so I painted my wooden pieces black before deciding on my final design that said yes I will cover the Most pieces of wood like I do in the end don't have to do that step. Remember these acrylic Greek key mirrors I ordered on Amazon?

I use them to refinish my thrift store cabinets and I think they will be perfect for this project. These acrylic pieces are self-adhesive, so it was very easy to add them to my design to give it a more mirrored look. I'm also adding little mirrored towels that I had left over from my tile

wall

. I will also leave a link to these mirrored towels, as well as the other materials used for this project, in the description box. Adding the mirrored towels definitely adds weight to this wall mirror, so instead I used my usual velcro. command strips I'm hanging my design with these sawtooth hangers I bought at Walmart to complete the project.
I cleaned my mirror, removed the film from my acrylic mirror pieces and here is the final look. I think this wall mirror turned out beautiful, but what? Do you think let me know in the comments?
