Mar 10, 2024
This reaction video has been made for the whole family, welcome ladies and gentlemen, thank you very much for joining me today. You all asked for it in every video I made. In each one of them someone said to do Nightwish and I

love

Nightwish. I listened to all your study material right now, what I have decided to do is Wednesday. I'm going to upload a song of someone playing live so I can break it down and preferably a song I already know, but not I'm going to do an analysis of what they are doing live and maybe where they can improve or things I would personally change if it were me .

Am I the authority on this? Absolutely not all all my opinions everything I say It's just absolutely subjective. There are probably very few times with a lot of these artists where I look at something and say if it happens, it's going to hurt their voice. I'll explain why, okay, but a lot of what I say will be very subjective so here we are with the Ghost Love soundtrack. I've seen them do it at the Wacken festival. I've seen them do that and it was a phenomenal performance. This is a performance I haven't seen. This is yours.

More Interesting Facts About,

ghost love score vocal coach reacts to floor jansen and nightwish...

From his tour of Latin America. in 2012 and again I have not seen them. I haven't seen this exact video, so we'll watch all 10 minutes of it together, so have a drink before we start, maybe use the bathroom. because we might be breaking down a little bit with this video, okay, let's see how this goes. I am very excited. I

love

this song a lot. I talk about a wall of sound for the songs, but nothing beats that. That's just crazy. How cool, true masters of their craft, every one of these guys, every one, and I'm glad I made this video because that drummer, uh, is no longer with Nightwish, as far as I know, I had to do it. withdraw I think it was because he was insomniac.

I could be wrong on that. I'm pretty sure that's what I heard and he needed to work on his health and all that kind of stuff and if that's the case and and If that's correct, again, I may be misremembering all the power too, wishing him everything the best, but to clarify, in my opinion, one of the best drummers alive, I would also like to break that wall in the past, we used to do it. I love his voice so much. Floor has this phenomenal ability to just watch Great Heights with this kind of classical training and then go into this like it's super heavy Rock material.

She really for me bridges the gap between the first two singers and that guy from Nightwish. You had um because you had Taya, who was more classically trained than the second

vocal

ist, I'm so sorry, I can't remember his name off the top of my head right now, who was a little more contemporary, a little more . Rocky, forgive me, and then you have the flu that combines the two so brilliantly, so brilliantly, it was the perfect natural progression that the emotions that sometimes the king of the world brings to me today, so I'm not sure if anyone realized You realize that, right? but she has this really nice ability to go from a higher chest voice to that falsetto seamlessly, hearing the fire chest falsetto which I love, I love her falsetto the way it soars and it's just angelic, it which in many cases you would.
I don't think that goes with this style of music, but it fits perfectly, perfect foreigner. I'm going to focus for a moment on her breathing. It's crazy. Okay, actually we're going to focus on this section of her breathing. Okay, so I'm going to point out that, right off the bat, this is awesome. I'm going to get rid of that for a moment, so what's amazing to me about this particular point in the song is how well it handles it. going from line to line even without breathing, she's breathing more, what would be what would be the word more, um unusual points that you would hear on the track, but still, um, like on the studio version, I mean, whatever this.
I'm not worried because she's still holding it, she's doing those huge sections and when you get the adrenaline going especially like I can only imagine, then I go on stage in front of a band and I get the adrenaline right and This is to make songs for older audiences so I'd be making songs like, you know, rocking out 24 hours a day, all that kind of stuff. My adrenaline pumps pretty good, if I stood up and interpreted this. There's a lot more adrenaline, there's no physical way that she wouldn't have that, that she would have less adrenaline for this and when your adrenaline goes up, you start breathing more, but she has total control over everything she does. her line that she sings every time she breathes, she does it when she needs it because she knows when and where she will need it and it's just phenomenal.
I clicked on that, there we go, so it's normal, they are like that. Long sentences like that are phenomenal for me coming from that really heavy first section to this second section. I love progressive songs, right, songs that have these different sections because they're there to tell a story. I know I'm still talking about stories. I love a good story in a song. It's almost like going and seeing a musical. Coming in, you have that opening number that usually serves to generate the kind of energy and set the mood of the show and then it's delivered. in the almost ballad section of the show only in a song like: are you setting the mood? you're establishing the story you're establishing the theme you bring it all back you have your kind of ballad part of that and then you have an interlude in this particular song, right, this is not the same with all progressive songs, this is the format of This song, it's the format of a complete musical and I think that's why it speaks to me so much, because it's just Again, a master class, these musicians are just a master class in the form of their art and it speaks to me in many foreign levels.
I would also like to point out that he is a phenomenal guitarist, this solo in quotes is very simple, right? He's not going crazy, he's not making any fools of himself, don't keep it simple, less is more, in many cases, less is more, there's always a time for a great solo, for a great show-off moment, he knows that It's like that. He's fine, so he essentially continues playing The Melody, which is very good and effective. Well, I know Nightwish plays tracks from time to time, so I guess this is what it is. Unfortunately, I haven't seen them. guys live and I would kill to see them, I would absolutely kill to see them live, thanks man, just imagine being in that crowd, it's cool, but also this is what I mean, how this song is presented. like a musical they are not on stage right now there is a half time for all musicals except for youth musicals they cut a second ok the youth version in the forest if you have ever seen the forest like the junior. version of into the woods, which is a cast of people under 18 years of age.
I'm pretty sure they cut the second half of the musical entirely to give it a happier ending, but most musicals will have an interlude and, that's what This is the Second Half Comes Back to, the stakes are higher. I love it, okay, stopping there for a moment with his voice. It's like a switch, there's only one switch that she can continue making classical music. No, I don't want that anymore. Rock done, it's just incredible and yet it doesn't sound discordant, what's interesting to me is that you know you have this kind of classic Airy Angelic sound and then she comes out with this and it's a powerhouse. voice, it's a powerful voice, like it's a foreign madness, the way it goes in there is like listening to him do things classically and then he just turns it off like it's a switch and just goes into it, it's a crazy voice and foreign, fry the hardness. the key change further raises the stakes of the extras like the second half of this song, the steaks got up and then again in this several minute section in uh, I think about an extra minute, in a minute and a half the stakes go up again this is just this is an opera this is an opera this is a musical this is just a phenomenal phenomenal work of art it's just crazy I don't know how foreigner foreigner does it I don't mean to push the point even further which is essentially a musical in 10 minutes references the beginning like it has a call back to the beginning it's all just ah every part of this is so cool I love it I love it I love this song I love this damn band and I love their voice so good foreigner just I don't know what to say besides what's already been said about his voice on the song every moment is something new every moment is a new step in that story every moment is a step in what's at stake it's just brilliant this is What happens when you put a whole group of people who are equally talented in their chosen fields in a room and say do something well, this is what comes out because Each of these people knows what each of them can do, as well as what they can do. that everyone else in that room can do. you're going to show up here you're going to show up here and it's just brilliant the way it's done this is crazy to me.
I love this band as a whole, foreigners, you guys are so cool, foreigners, I have no words. I don't have words for it, I honestly don't know what to say about it because every facet of the voice is incredibly complex. You have breathing that has so many different styles, so many different techniques. control that is handled by me so many different aspects so many different little details correct addiction you know how easy it is to understand what you are saying that also has a whole series of complexities and then you add the rock the contemporary and the classic style of what it is doing okay, those complexities are all triple, all triple at that point.
I haven't seen a female

vocal

ist handle anything remotely close to that as well as she honestly has. I can't tell another vocalist that she can do that. song specifically there are voices that do similar things there are uh Kristen Chenoweth who did Girl in 13g it was a mix of contemporary and classical jazz right, I'm convinced that she couldn't sing this song, but I think Fleur could. sing girl on 13g, I'm pretty sure she could take what she knows here and put it on 13g easier than Kristin Chenoweth could do this now, I'm not the one saying oh she's a better singer, no she's different , TRUE?
The style is different, however, for me Fleur has one of the most impressive voices today. Seriously, man and woman. I don't care about one of the most impressive voices today. I don't want that to sound like she's pressuring her. I don't want that to sound like she's pressuring her. I don't know, because I can't imagine she seems quite humble from little things I've seen, interviews, all that kind of stuff. I don't know if you would feel uncomfortable hearing that and That's not the point of me saying this, this is of course the personal opinion of a singing teacher in the world directly to me and I will simply drive the record to the point of home once again, one of the most impressive voices out there today and I understand.
I'm really excited every time these guys release something each time so I can hear how the band has developed and how they'll handle the vocals on these new songs. Honestly, I get excited if I hear these guys are coming out. with a new song I get excited like Schoolboy, no joke, just to be able to hear what has changed and a lot of things will change because I think Marco will leave his bassist. I think I heard that correctly. I just can't get over it. the story the story that musicality tells the ability to juggle the three styles a voice that she makes within the song within this song Especially man, it is, I look, I could, I can't, I have nothing more to say with sincerity I have nothing more to say about it other than 10 out of 10 would listen again, that's it, that's all I have.
Okay, this is definitely a band for people to listen to, for sure, every time they release something, every single is exciting. time because nothing is ever the same nothing is the same they are always changing they are always evolving and I am very excited to see what they come out with next so that will be the end of this video that has already gone on for 30 minutes oh my goodness so if you liked it, subscribe, do all that kind of stuff, leave any artists or songs you'd like me to react to in the comments below, whether live or in the studio, and I'll see you next time.
OK, bye
