Another Shop Takes This Customer For $900 And It's Still Broke

Mar 27, 2024
thin enough

this

is a big long truck my parts are pretty small here oh watch out there's a big bear that's a dead joke let's see activate that one okay now we're going to go to programming oh no relearn programming and then we're going to relearn OBD , he will communicate and make his deal with the truck, so we'll see if

this

works, I'll give him a minute to do his thing, we go through it and honk all the horn right front train says right rear train left rear train full training, okay, he says, okay, okay, OB learns again, the headlights just flashed, it's probably doing some kind of self test, the low tire beam appeared there for a minute, yeah, so the low tire beam is showing up , I don't know if that's maybe.

We have to go back through and pull the tire trigger again. It's interesting how that message appears, yes, one, two, six and seven, so it establishes that everything is complete. Relearn the OBD, it

still

shows low on the dash, so let's do this. be in sleep mode, let's just go through and turn them back on many times this will update the data on the dashboard, get this front right here, okay, we'll do the rear right again. All this does is activate the sensor and keys on, so hopefully that's sending the message here, we'll get back to that now, but we'll take a look inside and see if our low tire display has been re-evaluated.

More Interesting Facts About,

another shop takes this customer for 900 and it s still broke...

Oh, I looked at that, so it was re-evaluated. yeah, so now all you're looking for is this left rear, let's see if our low tire warning, yeah, it

still

says low tires, but it reads the correct press pressure, okay, let's see what the specs are on this vehicle, very comfortable here, friends. 60 front 75 rear let me go ahead and adjust those where we are now uh it still says an L tire or almost at the recommended oh that's weird they say 76 on the oh yeah 75 yeah right okay so we have 60 on the front 75 in the back, but it still says low tire, so that's interesting, well let's plug the allele back in, maybe there is more to this process, but maybe I don't know its parameter, so let's go back to connect it. in the altel there and see if we've gotten rid of any codes or something, we may have to dig a little deeper into the service data here, so let's go to the trouble codes, clear the codes and see if any of The TPMS is still there.

Those are all the codes we have left. Hood switch because the hood is open. I suspect the wrong bulb was installed for the third brake light. That is interesting. Incorrect high current draw. How would I know that? Because our foot is not even on the brake. Let's hit the brakes. brake with something here, let's take our depressor tool, that tool is so depressing, well we don't have a third brake light, one works, one works, maybe it's just because the dead bulbs would give you wrong current draw, so which could just be a light bulb, what I'm worried about is a damn tire pressure light, maybe it needs to be driven, let me start it just to see, let's test it just to see maybe they need to get into gear. mode or something, I swear this thing failed when I first turned it on, though let's see how we do this oo woo, look at me, looking at you, something just fell out of my door, big, old, to the lers, okay, let's turn it on the headlights, I have them and the car that works and then we'll shake it and see if yes, I know we're not at 60 PSI, but they don't have a 1 psi threshold, there's no way and I think we can. look with the scan tool and see what your maximum average limits are maybe maybe they haven't been learned I don't know, we'll see, we'll take a little walk around the block, I don't think so.

We have to go very far, but to see what's going on here, I didn't even put my seat belt on, we just got this far, we got to Andy's house, we have to turn around, so yeah, we didn't make it. the DG light went off so that's what it is, just needed to drive it. I guess if we fix the third brake light, that will fix all of its codes and then we'll get the Fort connector, so this was easy. I'm thinking he got scammed somewhere else out of $900 worth of stuff he didn't need. This is probably the first complex network diagnostics we have discovered without breaking even a laboratory telescope, voltmeter, or test board we use. brain six pieces of paper and a polite accelerator these brakes are very strong well this guy will be happy I will be happy if we can get that connector do that, turn the bad boys around so we don't hit them in the elevator oh the allele reconnected Windows radio still works still works heater controls work so we fixed everything the guy wants it fixed right great.
I just scored our wires there on the hitch so they would stay on during our test drive, okay, we'll mess with that in the morning and I think I'm ready to go home before we do, wow, we don't want to report, we want a FAL scan, we'll just let your Zippy through now that we've driven it, so yeah, just that body. module code, go to the report, yes, I mounted the brake light and I suspect the bulb is

broke

n, so it's okay, we will check it in the morning, but I see that everything was successful, I lost my control, there is our check sheet route to success, sometimes you do what you have.
To look at the bigger picture, I didn't feel like what we did at the beginning was a waste of time, you know, locating these connectors, uh, in this case, you know, it took us to the, you know, the green crunch, uh, normally I would. Don't just do what you know and push and wait and go look for these things, but they were things that were going to be relevant to our diagnosis, even if we didn't know that we saw the problem because I thought you know like I do. I mean, again, I was thinking it's going to be a network problem because I looked at the diagrams, we don't have common powers, we don't have common ground that powers these things, so it's probably going to be a network. problem to be able to perform any network testing, we had to break down the system to be able to check the termination resistors on both halves and see where the fault is.
The big clue for us was going to be the trailer module wherever it is. There was this forward module here, since we could communicate with that, that was a big clue for us, so it was useful because it told us that any problem with the network was not bringing down the entire network, I guess. If that makes sense, we never put a scope on it, so we don't know what things look like, but it's neither here nor there, it's not every day you have to do a big scan, a big expensive one, you know, Scotty Kilmer He calls it, um you.
I know some days it's just a visual inspection if I get the job on this, which I guess, I guess we will because this guy is going to be tickled pink and I'll bring them in and I'll show them how to get that connector out because that's really I'm going to scare people when we start cutting and splicing, and all the wires are going to be green from the look of that connector, so I'll check with Ford in the morning. I'll probably put the bulb in a brake light Ser if that's more than a bulb I'll let you know, but that should cure all your ailments and then when we get the connector I'll bring you over and we'll get that spare tire out of there and Open that harness and look, look what we see, see if we can discover some more pieces of the puzzle.
Because you know what happened in the world. That is what i want to know. Don't know. I do not know yet. It's actually a little strange to me and then you guys will be able to see better what I was seeing as far as that Poly Loom, you know why it looked like it was melted and why the wires looked pinched and um, but So what I did, I removed that loom. polyester, the cables inside it look intact. You know, I don't see any problems there other than what's immediately wrong with that connector, so who knows, you guys put your best guess in that comments section. when you're down there doing that, find us on Insta or Facebook when you're looking for us there and, uh, questions, comments, concerns, of course, put them there with your best guess about what happened there and just remind the viewers.
