you this beautiful old steel manufacturing building and, lo and behold, Journey. with Jay is here, so let's take a look at this place, yes, this is the pedal steel manufacturing building. In reality, it is four buildings in one. It recently sold for four and a half million dollars and the new owners have plans to convert this building into residential apartments like many of these other buildings in This area was built in 1919, while some sections were built at different times, but the first Part of it was in 1919 and some other sections of the building were built in the 1930s and 1950s, at a time when this company was the largest flooring manufacturer in the world.

Steel Heddle made steel heddles and petal frames breeds that got into chrome plating in the 1950's parts for weaving machines basically for the textile industry the old Steelhead Manufacturing Company did not go out of business

they

just moved to Greenville South Carolina in 1971 then that part of this complex was used for paper recycling and telecommunications until about 2006 when the complex was completely abandoned and probably also completely destroyed and these new owners are very experienced in this business of rehabilitating these old factories, so I am confident that at some point in the future, this building will have a second chance, but for now it sits here quietly awaiting its new life.
