Digging A SECRET GARAGE Part 1

Apr 26, 2024
This is my path This is my

secret

underground tunnel system that I've been

digging

by hand for the last 3 years and this is my DeLorean now Wouldn't it be the most rock and roll thing ever if I could get out of bed? Downstairs, go to the underground tunnel system along the tunnel and then to a

garage

to find the DeLorean with the push of a button, the DeLorean comes out along the way oh yeah, that's what we're going to do in Dreams, interested in a transaction simple. Well, we're tunneling again, which means we have to prepare, we have to put the winch back on what's hanging from the roof of the shed, we have to tear up the carpet, we have to move some boards so they don't.

To avoid damage, then cover the floor, lower the hydraulics and finally remove the metal cover plate that sealed it to reveal the rock wall, here we come back, wait Colin, you must inform the spectators about the plan, okay? People, this is the plan. I have this wonderful model. Sorry it's not to scale so we have my house we have my

secret

tunnel that goes out the side of my house and then we have my

garage

on the left the plan is to walk through the tunnel and into what will be a huge room where the DeLorean sits.

More Interesting Facts About,

digging a secret garage part 1...

The DeLorean will climb and exit in front of the living room window, not in front of the door or above it. here we can't do it here because I think the services come to the house up here so we can't go up and go through them so everything will happen here now there will be other problems that will happen here but we will cross them in later videos but today we basically need dig up this first

part

so we can line everything up with the house, not the garage. The garage is slightly tangent and the road and neighbors limit all this.

It's not a perfect square, but we need to make sure our Square Room is in the right position so it doesn't end up under the path under the neighbor's house, under my house or somewhere else entirely, so that's the first task : build this. corner of the room, have all the structural concrete ready to go and then move slowly in increments as we go until we reach the old car lifting mechanism, but wait, we have to be stealthy, this is a secret garage, right? ? So First we're going to do this by hand but of course we're going to end up with a huge hole in my front yard that everyone can see so I think we need a vanity guard so we're going to get a huge metal steel plate that can be placed over the path that we can dig underneath and prop up as we go, but it must be able to support the weight of the truck on top.
digging a secret garage part 1
We don't have a model van so we can fill it completely. of the rubble, get it in and take it out, no one will know the difference and we're running under it, so let's build a giant metal plate. Hello, hello in communications, stop sharing, stop posting the dinner photos, wait. suck you with free delivery R A never go to the right, press to get up, keep the courage with your back, but the speed W is the only complaint, right, it's over. Now that I've driven the truck over it, it drifts very little, which is a good sign if we're going to work under it, but I've been thinking about how much 1.3 tons really weighs.
I want it with you, are you okay? Everything's fine. Now let's take it to the house on the road. Now I know what you're thinking, Colin, this is supposed to be a secret, stealth project, but showing up with a big tractor and lowering a big metal thing into the road, well, everyone will see, don't worry, I have a solution. An additional wood cover plate was built because our starting hole will not be under the metal plate. It seems pretty normal. I don't think anyone looks at that and thinks there's something strange going on. Check this out, put it up now if not.
You don't know what a VPN is or you haven't browsed Shar, you should do so here. This is the sixth video they've sponsored because they're the VPN to get and they deliver quality content when you watch it, so six times they've explained how. A vpm makes browsing the web, not the surfers, safer by blocking malicious malware and trying to fish six times. I told you it covers an unlimited number of devices so you can cover all your family members with one policy. This is good, right? Six times I've said that you can make the Internet think you're in a different country so you can stream shows that aren't available in your territory or watch your native subscriptions while you're away, like Formula 1 or book services. at local rates, but this is the first time I'm telling you about Surf Shark's alternate ID feature, which generates a new online identity and email for you to use online.
This helps minimize the chance of receiving unwanted emails from annoying marketing subscriptions, which is why I'm relaxing on this couch, you're thinking about getting a VPN. I recommend browsing Shar. Get an exclusive Surf Shark deal for Black Friday. Enter the code Colin and you will get six additional MBS completely free. Link in description with hydraulic pump on when trying. to break the pen, break some stones, fill some buckets and take them out, that's the one we were waiting for in the chamber. Hello, now I get so carried away, it comes back into me,

digging

, I started talking without realizing that I'm basically not in the Darkness.
Guys, okay, we've got some proper lighting down here. What I was trying to say is: oh, it feels good to be back on this project, but we've been away from this for almost a year, we forgot about the silly things we brought down, we brought everything. the buckets but we forgot about the puffy Muppet shovel this is a Muppet now I'm starting to do it again now starting to feel it now of course I'm going in this direction but I'll have to start going Up very soon and up is a little strange because obviously normally when you tunnel we go forward a little bit and then I build a metal frame above me so that when I go even further nothing can fall on me but of course I need to start going up almost immediately and I have a little tea bar somewhere that I put at the end of the fitting so that when I push it up it doesn't stick out and get stuck because it's also right above me.
We have the gas man, we have the electricity and we have the water coming into the house, so I can't use the pin because it might puncture one of them and of course that's not good, so if we push. it kneads it, it squeezes it in a way that is much safer. I'm going to clean up a little more of this so I have a little more room to work with and then we'll get started. n oh, I was out of breath, I've only been doing it for a while, I need to get in shape first, come on, with the hydraulic pin at maximum and I find it harder to avoid the rocks that fall from above, I decided to lift Upload a little Drive, dig and find ourselves in the middle, somewhere we still have no fame, there is no politics, we are not a recognized name, there is no organization, there is no operation, there is no nation, there is no civilian, so when I made the trip I thought that the pipeline gas was right below the block work, but here we are a fish shovel step down, we found nothing, oh, there it is.
He was right, it's right under the p block with the gas man who found it's just the water and electricity to go to what we found now, look R, wow. in Get It Out Boy, is this a milk bottle from 1970 or 1967? It's an A7s milk bottle. I think so, 1963. This house was built well. I'm going to go wash it now, ironically it has Safety First engraved on the top. that and then the Milk Association now if anyone can shed some light on this they are very good we know they used to make smaller versions of this for schools but not the larger ones so who would have had this and why is there one on my disk? that I only found G and found another bottle of milk, look, it's a fun milman at Stanford back in the 60's.
I think I found the M water, potentially the ELC. I'll possibly break the soak, look, look at that look, okay, that's the electric. actually Rick, no, dear, that's too thin for a water manate, right, that's all. You just feel it with your bare finger, if you've cut it with a shovel, you'll find out, boy, Full House, gas, man, cold, M, electric, soak, okay? We know where all the services are now so we're going to drill a hole to see where it comes out here if it works well it continues then D over there it's going to get there we're going great well so now we were getting close to our hole I made an extension for the ramp at the end of Tea Bar, I tried to push towards the surface going down so to make good progress we decided to leave it and go through it in the morning, however it dug itself out overnight so we have gone down this tomorrow and gravity has done a bit of work for us, which is a bit embarrassing because I wanted a shot in the arm by pushing off my foot and getting out like we did when we came up. the kitchen, but it doesn't matter, it's all progress, all we have to do now is get rid of this mud roof because it's obviously a little precarious, now get rid of all that, lower it down and then we can start moving forward, the sewer has landed .
In my opinion I don't think that was absorbing much, it was rubbish, here we go, here we go, this is by far the most dangerous

part

we've done in the whole thing until we get a decent hole here I can stand in . a ladder or something and being completely to the side, this is sketchy now, besides dodging the falling rocks, this part was really difficult. I'm still working in a small space, the rocks and clay are wet and sticky which is covering everything. in mud, but that's okay, this won't last long. I've covered the poinewood balls and also some AST tur for that garden vibe, so I hope things improve soon.
I'm not sure if this looks weirder than the bit. of wood so with our weather shield golf course installed let's get back to digging oh ah I found the garage foundation now Rick right we're getting somewhere now the garage foundation is exposed corner of the garage bottom of the garage corner of the house bottom of the In the house, of course, we have the drain that was disconnected, we have the water. M, here we have the electricity in the butt and then of course up here we have the gas man. Little by little we are getting more and more space.
It's a little weird that you can take a photo now where you can see the passageway and tunnel all at once. We just need to work on getting over this ledge so that we have ledges and then we can start coming back in a smooth, orderly fashion, but look at that. That's exciting, I mean, it would scare the hell out of most people to be able to see the foundation of your house and your kids' foundation underneath, but it's something I've gotten used to now, I stay outside a little more, put some things. There are some cubes in there, so after having found the foundation of the house and garage and having located all the utilities, we felt that we could finally be untied and get out as fast and as strong as we could;
However, digging to the surface is a lot. Unlike digging a vat, the Lower Rock veins were no different: you got giant rocks that didn't fit in a bucket, which you had to break up with a sledgehammer and remove into pieces. The midrange grain is absolutely fine. well, it crumbles, it falls, it falls into the buckets, brilliant, the problems start when you go further into the clay, this thing is sticky, it's heavy, the tools constantly get stuck and despite our best efforts the tunnel is breaking down. becoming an absolute disaster. but mess is mess and that's tunneling, we can deal with that, but the main problem is the overhangs, clay just doesn't fall like loose rock, you have to physically climb the ladder and lower it manually, like we've tried to do.
Higher rig PS to push it and help it a bit more, but that has its own problems, having to lift the huge hydraulic ram onto higher and higher pieces is becoming more and more strenuous. This part of this project is physically a lot. more demanding, we have changed some things, we have changed some things, but how many things I thought, so we got some digital scales and we weighed each cube as we took it out, we weighed all 14 and these are the correct results, I have uploaded them. all of them up to 667.95kg per tub, so how has our progress been?
Of all the time we have dedicated to this, we have spent 8 days digging, we have made a total of 28 trips and at 600 50 kilos, let's say per trips, that places us. about 18 tons of Earth moved now, this will probably get slower because obviously physical fatigue will set in, so let's check how long it will take us to dig, so it's 8 days of digging, but if we look from above it's this little square here give or take a bit to get to the path of this first section of the garage, it will take another nine sets of 8 days, approximately 72 days, if we are generous we could say 3 months.
It's too long, but this has not been aComplete physical waste of time. We've revealed the amenities, we can see the orientation of the house and everything, and where everything is, we know what we're doing now, that's a good thing, so with the fact that you can't use an excavator with the tunnel and that you can use an excavator here and the fact that things fall on my head almost all the time we have the block The cobbles we have the hard clay to work with, I think it's Tom's time, but I've also moved 18 tons of stuffed animals with my own hands in eight days.
I'm pretty satisfied with that, so to prepare for the excavator, we need to move onto the steel deck. camera over Rick's face, then make a second wooden cover and then carefully remove all the cobblestone blocks for possible reuse in the future and then once all this is done it reveals an absolutely Excellent epic tent with a huge hole in front of my house where you can see the tunnel Hi, I'm Tom Lamb, here we go, we're about to watch like 14 cubes of progress are scooped out in one big spoonful trying not to hit. the M gas now I know everyone asks me where I put this and Tom gets rid of it and to this day I don't really know where it goes he doesn't tell me I think he's selling it like a textbook.
Would he sell it and then not tell me that the big tight measure in the hole probably has to spend another 200 million that way? This is me trying to do this quietly. How about? Freddy, look at everything you'll have to come. and help us again hey L, what the hell, it's always exciting when Freddy's here, you want Mo on my safety, not wearing a helmet, this old man has flip flops on flip flops, sliders whatever you want to call them, that's crazy, that's crazy, he's well, we're almost there. Halfway through and it's about halfway through the day, but the next part should be a lot easier because we're at depth now, so we don't have to keep hitting the bottom plate of the stove to try to get through it.
I've done it, so I hope it's just lifting the cape. I'm going to put some wood here in a minute to suspend it and keep the gas pipe and the electric pipe a little more supported because obviously they're kind of falling down a little bit now that's not good we don't want to see that and there we are it's a big old hole we're filling the buckets progress is good at all guys look at that look we're almost there just this last little bit to come out now you're ready top wave this hole looks absolutely huge now that we put the lid on it's like it's made it bigger but this is only a quarter of it we have to go in that direction probably another three times what we just did now how epic is this going to be it's like a cathedral in my front yard okay progress is well, we've probably dug up what's between these two little yellow lines, now in the next video we have to start building.
In the room, we need to build a large metal box inside the hole we just dug, which we can then surround with concrete and then that will be the base to move forward, so we need to leave it in line. I have to make sure it doesn't go under the house, under the road, or under the neighbors' boundaries. There's a lot to think about in the next part. Now you can see how we're doing it right away because it's up on the second channel. an update video, thank you all, of course, those who are subscribed, that's over 600,000 Tunnel VI absolutely Die Hard fans, it's a crazy number.
I never thought it would come to that, so obviously next on the channel will be that video at some point. Stay. tuned in subscribed there's so much going on here there's so much going on here I'm just it's crazy doing this in my front yard it feels so weird like it's almost on display it feels a little more stressful but anyway thanks to you guys for your support See you next time
