People WISH they'd seen this brilliant pallet hack sooner!

Last week I walked out of my office and there

they

were right in the hallway, some really nice palettes and

they

were in really good condition and they gave me a great idea on how to get ready for spring. The first thing I did was set them down and start cutting around the edges, it's easier to take apart a

pallet

when you cut the edges first because that's less. You have to drive nails into the center section, just take a crowbar and hammer it and you will lift it, don't do it. Pull it too hard, you want to do it from both sides, now all you have to do is pull out the nails, they are easy to do, just place it on a table, tap on one side, use the bar on the other and pull it out once you do.

If all the nails are removed, you will have a big pile of wood to use. You can send them now or keep them raw. The next step is to grab some boxes from Michaels. These are perfect, nice and soft. I'm going to take two of these and glue them together, what you want to do is get the glue down and not dilute it and then use your finger to spread it out, that will make it stick to the other boxes really well. These will come in two pairs, so we'll take

one and place another one on top, lay it down and make sure we line it up correctly.

We want it perfectly straight and then we will use clamps to hold them while the glue dries it only takes a couple of hours. I cheated on

this

one. I used a nail in the side to hold it together. Once you get the two pairs, you will separate them. Take three of your deck boards and lay them out. and we're going to use them to hold our two pairs of boxes together. I can use screws or nails. I use nails because they are easier for me, but screws work just as well. Go ahead and spin around now that I installed. on sawhorses because I'm ready to put the legs on it now I'm going to take that wooden

pallet

and I'm going to square the ends these are going to be the legs I'm going to place this on the side facing the side of the pallets to put them on and then I'm going to take the front of it long and I will put it there, I now glue and nail the support boards for the pallet, I am going to screw them from the back because I want more. a background on the top of this table now it's time to put more glue.

We're going to put this on top of the boxes because I want to build a table again. I'm going to use wooden pallets, just take the glue and spread it out. On the deck boards I cut a piece just enough so it sticks out a little and then put a small piece in the middle. I didn't want the table to be too wide and stick out once I glued it all together. I took those nails and put them in place. Now these just hold it while the glue sets and it's going to be super strong. Now it's time to work on the back.

I want to make sure it's not too high, but I grabbed a few. of that wooden pallet and nailed it on the sides, you can do it however you want, this will be your project. What I did was I put this in, but I left some space in the middle, so I went ahead and pinned it. above and then the next one that I put right below it just to give it a little bit of a different look once it's up it's time to put in some hanging hooks. These are easy to make, just screw them into the boards, now let's attach this. instead and went to Dollar Tree and grabbed a bunch of items for just a dollar.

This is our potting board right here. I'm going to put in the potting soil and this allows me to work right there on the table, planting my potted plants. What you're going to see here turned out great and all this stuff I bought at Dollar Tree looks amazing and it's the perfect height if you want to bring those little ones over to plant those happy little flowers, I think. This project turned out great, it was cheap and easy to do. I hope this has inspired you to build your own DIY potting station. So the first step we must do is leave.

I took a palette, we have many. There are a lot of them around for various reasons and I'm going to paint them with some spray paint. I chose this one from Krylon because it has a paint and a primer all in one, so it gives you good coverage. You can also use wood. stain or any actual paint you'd like to do, just make sure it's outdoor safe, that's the only thing you're going to want to make sure of, so let's go outside, I'll give it a couple coats, let it dry, and I'll see you in a moment, so once it is dry you will want to place it on a surface or you can work on an old table.

I just put a couple trash bags in case there was wet paint. I got lost and grabbed these mug hooks. I think I bought them at Walmart, but you can get them at any hardware store as long as they already have a screw here or if you want, maybe use a decorative hook, you can. do that and then all we're going to do is just twist them here so I'm going to start winding them up you might want to drill like a kind of pilot hole it might help a little bit but just a little bit of force and this one already is taking remember your pallets are solid wood so I'm going to place them here where I have this extra piece on top to hold on too and this is really the only step once I've painted your pallet and I mean you could do all kinds of fun techniques, maybe you want to put a stencil on there, you could add vinyl, you know, there's tons of different things you could do, if you want to put your hooks on, you can spray.

Paint them so they are the same color. I just like the idea of ​​having that accent there so here we go with almost one of them and these ones that I have are also rubberized so they're really nice to work with or hang up. your bits and pieces so again just do the same thing and there's another one and then I'll skip one and make one on these two and you could add as many hooks as you wanted, you could also um, maybe screw. in some baskets if you wanted to, there's definitely a lot of different storage options on how you could store different things in here and you could do it for outdoor toys, it doesn't just have to be for beach toys and stuff or pool toys and stuff.

I'm going to show you a couple of fun ways you can maximize the storage on this as well, so now obviously you have your hooks for storage, but you can also grab things like your pool noodles and you can put them on the side here. because there's a backing on your pallet so you just slide them in and then of course you can hang this over the edge of the fence, you can hang it in all kinds of different places overseas and then you can take your swimsuits with you. towels and you can hook them on there and that's it it's really very simple honestly it's the simplest craft or DIY and you can make this in any color to match your decor and you can make these for your poolside lawn games.

Lastly, decorate them with pillows in a row and then enjoy them with your favorite foreign furry friend.
