I Made Padme’s Pants from Attack of the Clones Battle Scene | sewing vlog

Hello everyone, my name is Lindsay and this is my

This point I wanted to work on something a little different, nothing retro vintage historical so none of my normal stuff and I wanted to work on a cosplay that I started about a year ago and it's been in my UFO box so a year ago I let my hair grow to this length and when my hair grows longer, a lot of you look like Millie Bobby Brown, you look like um, oh my gosh. Person I'm talking about literally, I can't remember her, Natalie Poorman, which thanks, but I don't, but I get a lot of those comments when I start pulling my hair out and it makes me want to cosplay. these people, so I bought a 11 t-shirt to cosplay 11.

So I always wanted to make this Padmé

battle

costume. I'll most likely do the one that happens to have the top cut off and the arm cut off just because it looks that way. As if it would be more fun to make it work. I mentioned before that I started working on this a year ago and

made

the

pants

very quickly. I

made

the

pants

and they fit well, they're just a size too big. and I wanted to work on the placement of these seams that run down the front and back of the leg. I wanted them to be more centered, so I'm going to throw that out and let's start again.

I'm going to use this. The pattern is simple eight two one two and I have cut option c. It probably won't show up, but it already had a seam on the side and I think I'm just going to combine those pieces and fix that. seam in the center, yeah, more pants altering, so I'm going to take this pattern and get some tissue paper, we're going to lay it out and we're going to cut it out, okay, we're back to the tissue paper. I'm going to lay out this pants pattern and connect all the pieces, then trace around the entire pattern piece because I want to move the line in the middle where the seam meets.

I've attached the side piece and the center piece together I'm also lengthening the top two inches I just wanted it to be a little more high waisted you'll notice I don't use my ruler for curved lines I don't have or don't know where my ruler is and what would do, so I went ahead and traced it based on the original pattern. Here I am marking where I am moving the

sewing

line, it will only be about an inch above where it was originally. It was, but I feel like that will give it a more focused look.

Side note: If you don't want the permanent marker to bleed onto your nice, clean sewing table, make sure to put something between the table and the tissue paper unless you want to. Rub it with alcohol like I had to do after this, somehow this has turned into a month long project when honestly it was supposed to be a two hour project, especially with the serger, but last month I ran out serger thread, which is funny because I rarely use that machine until this year, so the thread I had was the thread I bought when I bought the machine four or five years ago, so I didn't want to overpay at the store, so I just went online and bought some. and I got black thread, white thread and then rainbow thread because I really wanted those cute little rainbow stitches.

I've got the thread threaded into the machine, it's all good, let's go ahead and start sewing these pants now, after a short moment. to love mr. bingley. I'm going to connect the front piece and the front side piece and then we're going to put them together in an effort to be a good human being. I'm going to fray and check all the ends of my sewing so they don't instantly fall apart when I finish adding the waistband and my Padme Battle Arena pants are ready. These are not screen accurate and are a project that has been in my UFO pile for a while, but I really wanted to fix it. the seam lines up on the top and I just make them wearable so maybe I can finish this costume and maybe wear it somewhere.
