I love Dollar General authorization, they tend to have really good authorization and then I have some leftovers from some. Fabric I picked up from the Dollar Tree and I'm not perfect at this. I don't know if I'm doing it the best way, but I'm measuring how much fabric I need to cut and I'm just using a ruler. and a cutting mat and cutting tool, all from the Dollar Tree, but use whatever you have on hand. You can also cut it with scissors, mark it with a pen or whatever and then cut it with scissors and we're just going to get it back. this now and we are only recovering part of this now.

I got this idea from something I saw on Pinterest and today's video is part of the Try It Tuesday challenge hosted by Sammy from Unicorn Dust Designs and the idea behind this challenge is to show where you get inspiration from so I'll be showing pop up images. All of mine today are from Pinterest and I will display those images on the screen and as best I can attach links, however sometimes when I start using similar things the links disappear or are disabled but as you can see, all I'm doing is hot gluing this the first time the hot glue sets in the can before I can attach the fabric.

So I ended up putting it on the fabric, the bow ended up coming off, so I hot glued it back on and filled it with some greenery. I'll show you that in the end it's super quick and easy, so for the next one I'm using this was a frame from the inside of a canvas that I used previously for a DIY. It's already painted. You can see the stuff on the back of something else that had attached to it. We are repainting it. You could use a canvas or. You could use a frame and I'm using some Waverly plaster and my plaster is almost done and it was thick so I added water which makes the container super light and that happened and I spilled paint all over the floor let's have one moment. of silence, okay, I cleaned it, we are painting this frame. um like I said, you could use a regular frame or you could use a canvas and cut the canvas, um however you want to do that, like I said a moment ago.

Okay, these are sloppy. This was also after midnight, so some grace for me. But these are small pieces of wood. Wooden flowers from Dollar Tree and I'm also painting four of them with gesso.
Now here is the inspiration image. It's a rough inspiration, obviously, I'm doing it very differently. For my canvas, I am using this canvas. bag that's from the Dollar Tree and I'm cutting it up. I guess it's more like burlap canvas. They have similar shades, similar textures, but they are definitely not the same and I'm just cutting a piece off to fit it. back of my frame I sped this up so you didn't have to see all the stuff and decided to just hot glue it and flip the frame over but then my hot glue gun got stuck and caused problems so I had to go back and add more hot glue and you'll figure out how you want to do this, but I thought the image inspiration was really cute and I didn't want to make this super specific for a holiday or a very specific season, but you can certainly change this with different colors and do it, ya you know, more colorful and for something more specific, so I'm going to finish gluing this piece of burlap and then we'll cut it out.
This may have been the easiest way to do it from the beginning. I only do small sections at a time so maybe try that first and then I'm just using a sharp blade to trim it which means it cuts through the canvas or the back of the frame so you might not want to do that. do it depending on what frame you're using, but this one was already cut out on the back because I've used it for a couple of crafts so that's what I'm doing and then I thought this is too transparent. so I got out some cardboard and we're going to cut it to the right size.
You could also fold the piece of fabric or, if you were actually using a canvas frame, you could just turn the canvas over and use the back. the canvas is a little more beige in color, so just to give you ideas on how to do it, you don't have to have all the exact same elements, but the cardstock makes it not as transparent. but without actually changing the color, I guess it will also make it a little firmer, although what we're going to hang isn't going to be heavy, so however you want to do it if you're new here, thank you very much for stopping by. by I would love for you to consider subscribing.
I love sharing easy crafts with you. We had fun. I'm not a professional, but I like to create and I like to share with you, so I would love for you to consider subscribing. As you can see, some of these Rose pieces were also red and pink, so if you wanted to keep them that color, it would be really cute as a Valentine's Day DIY, but again I wanted to go a little more neutral and I'm just going to look for them , you could also use it as a super glue gel, the hot glue provides a little bit of fibers, you know, I didn't put it everywhere, but it was a little hard to avoid having a little bit of hot glue. ropes, but once I have everything down, we'll go over it with a hair dryer to melt them and it'll end up fine.
You could put a hanger on the back if you want to hang it on the wall. I'm going to leave it more of a thinner sign, kind of like I would put it behind other things when I set it up like a shelf or whatever, but I don't want to keep repeating myself, but obviously you can do it however you want. I want to do it and I'll show you what it all looks like finished at the end of the video. If you are enjoying these DIYs. I would love for you to give him my video.

Hey, in the comments, let me know if you stop by from the playlist or what's your favorite DIY or just give it a thumbs up or a smile, whatever those things really help my channel for the next one. I know some people will have it. one problem with this I'm using an old hymnal um. Some people got mad at me for this. I'm not going to explain why I don't think this is a problem. I'm not trying to fix it. Disrespect, I actually appreciate it and I loved the song it was on, but this Hymnal is falling apart and all, so I'm just trying to breathe new life into it, but you could print some sheet music. you could use book pages, you could get scrapbook paper, however you want to do it, but here's my inspiration image and I'm using one of my battery operated flameless handles and I don't want this to be a permanent thing so no glue anything, um, but you could certainly attach it with a Mod Podge or whatever, you could use a real candle if you wanted, although I wouldn't recommend watching the candle light up.
I think it was on a timer, um, you could use a real candle. but I don't think you want to burn it with this, um, but I'm just ripping the edges to give it a kind of rough, rustic piece and I'm using two pieces, it didn't. go all the way around, but that's okay, we're just going to tie it up with some twine and halfway through I realized I had flipped the back, so it wasn't the same song on both sides, if that makes sense. um, this is where I'm reading the lyrics and I'm thinking this isn't the same one, um, so you may or may not care, but I liked the song, um, it's a blessed assurance that Jesus is mine, that it's a beautiful old hymn, so I wanted the same words or the same song on both sides, so all I'm doing is I'm using this twine from the Dollar Tree and wrapping it around and I'm trying to make sure it doesn't cover any words, um, but new.
That's just a personal preference and you could really use any paper, but I love musical notes and then I'm just cutting a little piece of greenery and I'm going to tie a knot in the front as well and that's it's for this DIY, that's it, It's nothing complicated, a set of these would be really nice too, um, maybe I'll come back and do it. I'm not sure this would be pretty on a small flashlight anyway, I love it. and that's how they all came out. I was very pleased with them and I hope you enjoy them if you do what I said, don't forget to like this video, check out all my links below, thanks once again.
