money can buy, specifically what the food is like. Can you guess what we are doing today? I searched a bit and finally found a $30,000

on Emirates to Bali, Indonesia. The travel time is almost 24 hours, which will be enough time to focus on the food they have to offer. If you check the website, it describes this first-class experience as similar to flying on a private jet. But here's the thing, I don't care about all that. I even had these fancy lights on my feet. We arrived at the airport and I walked in to find the check-in desk. The only thing I could think about was food. Moments later, I had my boarding pass and it looks like we have an invitation to the lounge. Let the $30,000 in food begin. The living room was beautiful. When I walked in, they immediately set up a bar, in case you wanted to get a little crazy before the flight. Then there were tons of seats and tons of food. Everyone was relaxed and my friend next to me had even taken off his shoes.

Finally, it was time to board and I was taken down this separate walkway. The plane was huge. Gigantic. Huge what? I mean, this was the biggest airplane I had ever seen in my entire life. They quickly took me straight to my seat, but in reality it wasn't even a seat, it was a huge capsule covered in gold. Look at all this space for so many activities! The screen was about the size of my TV at home. I even had my own bar hidden on the side. I felt elegant. I was immediately served a glass of champagne, and although I am not picky.

I mean, there's a big cricket right there. I like it. They made it very clear that it was only ground champagne, meaning they would only serve Dom Perignon champagne in heaven. I'll be honest, I don't know much about wine, but this menu certainly looks impressive. The captain told us to prepare for takeoff, so I took off my shoes and fastened my seatbelt. We're starting to move and I really want to eat. The flight is over 12 hours, so I'm about to have plenty of time to eat. We're in this together. We paid for this and now we are going to make it worth it.
That's when I realized... are there showers on this plane? Finally it was time to look at the menu. Yes, it's the moment I know we've all been waiting for. The first line here is why I'm on this plane. Again, we can order whatever we want, whenever we want, throughout the flight. Now, for some reason, I love tomato juice on planes, so I'll start with a virgin Bloody Mary. They also have tons of fancy liquors, all top of the line liquors that you can drink anytime, but I don't want to go crazy on the air. It wouldn't be so much fun being strapped to the seat.
You have to untie my friend. There's a lot of food here, but for now, let's start simple with some toasted nuts and our virgin mary. But first, some privacy. First things first, I have my virgin Mary. It smells good and looks good. Let's try. The nice thing about this is that it should pair perfectly with my warm nuts. Who doesn't like hot nuts? While this may seem simple, it's a delicious start to our full day of

in heaven, but if we want to make that $30,000 back, we're going to have to eat a lot. While we wait, here are some really cool snacks, like these little veggie chips.
That's good. Look at that, pea. Oh wait, I think I'm allergic to peas. Next, I looked at the menu to get some starters. Could you please make the caviar? I mean, how can you be on a plane and not want the caviar, right? And then I'll make a mezze plate, celeriac soup, and how big is the salmon carpaccio? This one is very small. Maybe I'll try it too. To start, we ordered basically the entire menu. I can not wait. While we wait for our caviar and Dom Perignon. Let's take a look at all the gift bags they have prepared for us.
Here we have this leather grooming kit. Do you have coffee? No, a cleansing towel, an aftershave balm, a very thick and elegant looking cologne and a body emulsion? What (bleep) is a body emulsion? We also have shaving foam, toothbrush, razor, hairbrush, deodorant and tissues in case you get sad. I also have this fun pack with pajamas inside, and they are incredibly soft. They also have some good beauty products, although I have no idea what a pillow mist is, let alone what a sleep oil is. Is this edible? Can I drink this? Okay, let's close this because it's time for caviar.
This is just the presentation of the caviar and it fills the entire table. This caviar looks fantastic. The pearls are perfect, and that's what I look for in any good caviar. Now, I love that we also have a mother of pearl spoon, this is a must with caviar. To prepare our caviar, we will take these blinis, which are basically small pancakes. And then with our first spoon here, we're going to put a little bit of each ingredient into our blini. I'm going to go with a little bit of onion, a little bit of egg yolk, a little bit of egg white and a few chives.
In addition, we needed a touch of fresh cream, and if we want, even a splash of lemon. Don't use metal spoons with caviar, only mother-of-pearl! Let's take some caviar and pour it on top. I'm going to make two scoops for the special occasion, and also because I can get all the caviar I want on this flight. But I think we need enough cans to make up for the money we spent. We're going to try it! Oh Lord. There's no way I'm on a real plane right now. I almost forgot we have champagne. Not just any champagne, but Dom Perignon.
Wow! I want you to take a closer look at all the pearls in this caviar. This here is top of the line caviar that has clearly been treated with respect. You will respect my authority! None of the pearls are burst and look at that beautiful shine in the light. It is very fresh, fatty and a little salty. Here they didn't skimp on a single ingredient. Well, with the ties the Emirates have to the Middle East, they have this really cool mezze plate. For those who don't know, I am Persian, so I love Middle Eastern cuisine. I really just want to try it and have a little bit of everything here because we're very early in this process.
There's a lot of good food on that menu and there's a lot of good food ahead. What I love about this is that the herbs look incredibly fresh. It's like they had a parsley garden downstairs and they just put it on the plate. I like to try some of these sauces without bread, just to really taste the flavors. Oh, that silky-smooth, smoky eggplant balances the pomegranate seeds. Chef's kiss! Grape leaves and rice. Not my favorite here. I think this is falafel. Oh, it's not. There's beef inside, I like that. Lots of pickled vegetables and now I'll dip my pita in hummus.
Oh! That's so good. Baba Ghanouj. Wow, that's my favorite thing I've tried so far. That's perfect! Here's the thing, the mezze plate is great. You can tell when things are fresh and you can tell when they're not. And most of this is extremely fresh, so whatever chef is in the kitchen pulling this stuff out, it keeps killing it. I'm excited for what's next, but mark my words: I'll get my money's worth. Next, they brought out the celery soup, which seemed disgusting at first but was surprisingly amazing. I literally hate soup and the soup is very good.
So this appears to be our salmon carpaccio, which I must say also looks very good. Pretty simple, as you can see, but the flavor of the salmon is spectacular. What it really is is just smoked salmon with this really good kind of egg and mayonnaise on the bottom, which I really like. Next, we have our first and main course, which is salmon, although I still think I will order a few different things throughout the day just to try. Alright, let's try this salmon. The dash of Osmo definitely improves it, but the salmon is not as fresh as I would like.
And perhaps the worst thing is that it is overcooked. It is rubber, plastic and dry. Although I want to try these cute vine tomatoes. Let's try one. This tomato just splashed all over me. It's enough. But it was tender and tasty. Alright, we've already ordered a lot of food on this flight and I'm starting to feel a little full, so I want a quick break. I ordered a virgin mint mojito and bought a piece of lemon cake. Delicious! That's delicious. After finishing some work, I noticed that everyone around me was asleep and that it had gotten pretty dark outside. But since I'm here for the food, I stayed up and had a light, tasty salad and some delicious desserts. I dropped the cheesecake, but I ate it anyway. I also had some tea to try to help tire me out for a short nap.
I never realized there were stars on top of the plane too. The seat folded down into a huge bed with a super comfy pillow. I turned off the television and fell asleep. I woke up and went straight to the shower and as expected the bathroom was crazy. The floor was super nice and also had heating. I just couldn't believe I was bathing at 35,000 feet. I had a stopwatch and the time was up in 5 minutes, so I returned to my seat. There was a plate of fruit waiting and there was only an hour and a half left.
There is light again outside. So, it's time for breakfast. Good day. After that shower, I feel quite refreshed, I even feel like I look refreshed. They said the grapefruit juice is fresh, but that's for me to judge. It is, but there is a caveat. Whoever squeezed that grapefruit didn't do the best job. They put too much white pith in it, making it very bitter. Let's see if the blueberry smoothie evens it out. Refreshing, a little tart and yogurt flavored, who doesn't love it? I don't like yogurt. The fruit definitely looks nice and fresh and is very cold, in a good way.
We have to try all the bread. This looks like a pig in a blanket. Well, we're not in France, that's for sure. For the main breakfast, I had a cheese omelet that looked like it hadn't been cooked enough in advance, a sausage that looked like it was falling out of the belly but tasted good, a very soggy waffle, and a few other bites. . Well, now you know what it's like to dine on a $30,000 flight, except I spent all that money and you didn't have to. If that's not love, I don't know what is. Happy cooking.
