My BMW E60 M5 gets a new facelift - Front lip DIY

spoiler. I actually had this folder about three years ago, so I'm going to reinstall it and secure it a little better, so let's go. Go ahead and open the package, this is how my

edge arrived in the mail. My M5 is dirty so after installation I will wash it. I made my front splitters along with my side diffusers a couple of years ago. I'm going to remove the front splitter. In order to test fit the odd front lip I'm going to remove some screws on the fender liner that way I can peel it back and have access to the screws behind the bumper so I can remove it, thanks when I do.

I first installed this lip a few years ago. I didn't secure the middle, so at high speeds it would move and eventually damage the spoiler, so what I'm going to do now is use these steel plates and bend them so I can secure them. the middle correctly, this is what the bracket looks like now that I trimmed it with bolt cutters and then shaped it using slotted pliers and a foreign vise, so now that my lip is on I'm going to go ahead and take out my F5. I can give my car a good wash and then I want to take some pictures and maybe a little video and show the car with the new lip.

I'll be using my Chemical Guys foam cannon for this wheel wash. I will use Meguire's four wheel cleaner and then for the soap I will use Chemical Guys extreme body wash, this is highly concentrated and produces a lot of lather so I like to use this one and for the wash after I like to spray a layer of the ceramic detailer for my cables, this helps eliminate any type of streaks and provides an instant shine. External process. I used McGuire's Hybrid Ceramic Detailer after spraying one coat on the area I need to dry. GSM I rag and spread the ceramic detail evenly and after doing that I switched to the same type of rag but this time dry and as you can see as I wipe it all the stains lift almost immediately and the shine.
