More Interesting Facts About,

the brady bunch house construction completed long version may 23 24 june 12 2019...

Let's see this. Is incredible. I know. I tell you. I entered for the first time. I panic. I immediately felt like I was back on stage five at Paramount. I was actually on our set, it's perfect just six months ago, here during

construction

and this is the big reveal after telling us a secret about what you remember filming here in this living room, one thing or one thing that maybe not we saw. Television magic tricks up here the original set this is original as you know some of it has been recreated like this sofa because they couldn't find that fabric I just remember running up and down the stairs mm-hmm it didn't get anywhere that somewhere the dorms are on the second floor, the vets are dorms on the set, we're right outside that door, one of the things I'll never forget is those kisses from Davy Jones, it was a joke, I mean, Desi, Davey and Marion came Ross.

I walked through that door as a doctor and Joe Namath and we had amazing people in our program. We want to see them together again on television. Could there be a special or could there be beyond HGTV? I was going to say well, this is it for now this is Bennett, this is a Ford right now and we could film it here and live here, yeah, well, you know, drive that old 1972 car, we could do the talk show here and scare our guests and they couldn't. Talking, wouldn't it be good? Yes, because when you walk in for the first time you are scared to complete this iconic house.

It took no less than six TV brothers and twin HGTV stars. This is the most complex and largest residential renovation we have ever undertaken. It was a very important detail that was added for the first time in Brady's program. They never showed a bathroom because it was taboo to show a bathroom on the show, so for the first time the Bradys have bathrooms and you wouldn't believe what happened. When creating these entry stones, we made them from what we saw on TV and then got a projector and projected it on the wall. We made them exactly the same size and color so that with the same detail it would be more difficult to duplicate the staircase.
I'll show you that incredible revelation a little later. It was a challenge because they had to convert this one-story house into two. Well, this was a feat of engineering. You can't change that iconic roof line. What are we going to do? We dug and he left. further down, yes, when you walk in the door, you actually go down to the family room and that was able to give us that staircase that we couldn't. We had to have a circuit. He was there from the beginning of this journey of renewal. Yes, even before. HGTV got involved, we had an exclusive tour when the house first went on the market last July.
The house was listed at $1.8 million. HGTV bought it for a whopping 3.5 million. Is it true that this house is the second most photographed house in the world? The White House clearly, three hundred and seven days later, the restoration is complete, many of the original details had to be contributed by fans, someone had the actual toaster in the kitchen, so the master bedroom, yeah, yeah, remember the bed hole in headboard? There was a bust of a woman and it was like a small white figure. Someone who had that same figure in her house, so when you see the master bedroom you will see that white figure.
Now we have to go somewhere else than when you see. Entering here literally leaves you breathless, it's tears. Do you really remember that day? And tell me what you remember about being on that staircase. Well, we've been up this staircase many times. It's like five iterations. We would take a photo every year, so that was always the account I cling to, we did it right, then the new staircase looks like that wonderful one from the 70s that was the focal point of the Braves living room, one one of the biggest problems we had with nine people in the cast.
The question was how do you stage them so you can see everyone's faces and the staircase answers the question, but in the real house there was no

long

staircase, it was actually a smaller two-level

version

right next to the front door. Marine Marcia Brady, help demolish yourself. When you built the staircase, you built it from scratch, but you made it look exactly 50 years old and I mean you can't buy a staircase like that. The other thing that's interesting is that technically the ladder wasn't encoded by today's standards, oh. We had to modify it for it to pass inspection.
We had to add some plexiglass panels. Child safety until then. Secret. Can you go anywhere now without people thinking? It's good, awesome. Hi Marshall, James, Peter. I feel like we have friends wherever we go. Yes, people will. pick up the conversation mid-sentence like so, how are you doing? Yes, you know they've known you forever. No, these classic moments endure and are repeated and when they film interior scenes on a soundstage, well, the staircase leads nowhere, we go up the stairs. and we would all just hide in the hallway up there and flirt and whatever, like our alone time, which was amazing and you'll see us, yeah, but how it takes us somewhere and now to the famous backyard, now there's a lot of memories in this. backyard is where the swings were and where the kids caught that infamous soccer ball Hey guys, your nose is beautiful now by the way, thank you very much, it's the tiger doghouse over the Tigers doghouse, that's it the seesaw Susan Cindy and Mike Bobby were responsible. for this renovation that includes the

construction

of the tiger doghouse and remember the artificial grass that used to be cut well, that's there too, how does it feel to be here and see how they recreated things in the backyard?
Well, it makes me want to go to the tiger doghouse or get on the seesaw or have a potato sack race and this is a part that's better because we were never outside when we were outside like 40 different shadows around us and now it's actually under the sky, you know, and we had to compromise the The backyard is quite a bit, but the footprint of this is all new Hi, I'm Maureen McCormick and Barry Williams and we're standing in front of the big house. I keep entering the room with the ladder that was powerful to see that ladder there. that we cross from one side to another or go up or down the stairs, every episode featured that and the horse that was sitting on the table is also there.
What brought me back the most is, you know, seeing Florence and Bob and feeling and our team was so incredible, you know, I guess the love for all the people that were there. I had never been in this house before. I didn't know it was right here in the San Fernando Valley, which is nearby. where I grew up we were always in Hollywood on set filming The Brady Bunch so I had no reason to come here because this was just the photo they used to establish that we were going to see the Bradys at their house this is where we took fiction and we turn it into reality.
This is Drawn and Jonathan Brady. Yes, we are the newest kids. We look at a lot of photos and videos. We didn't have original plans of the set to know how things were laid out. To put it into perspective, what it looked like, what the cast would be like, everyone was able to go in as little details that helped us put the puzzle together to make sure we got it authentic, it was nice to see the Brady kids there, of course. We don't have Florence or Bob, we didn't have mom and dad, we have Alice as a buddy show because they're already passed away, it's good now that we made the reveal and showed the Brady kids, they said the first thing they thought.
That's what they would think of it and yes, they imagine them sitting in the chairs, an image of a house coming out of the kitchen, it's very special to know that the person that comes to mind, you can see some emotions coming up and again, the Brady kids. Just thinking about this took them back 50 years. I wasn't expecting the level of detail they went to, which is extreme, and I wasn't expecting them to add a second story without compromising the exterior. Yes, we are registered as basically revealing. They were told what they were trying to accomplish was impossible, they showed us that we're willing to do the impossible, what do you get when you take the six original Brady kids, eight hoes from different HGTV shows, and one huge, unbelievable task?
I present to you a very The Brady Renewal, the Brady Tribe is back, it's been 50 years since Greg Marcia pieter-jan Bobby and Cindy came into our hearts and homes, the six of them reunited for the first time in decades. Hi honey, I'm at home rolling up my sleeves to help renovate. His television house HGTV bought the house for $3.5 million in 2018 and then recruited eight of its hosts, including me, for a priceless transformation. Working alongside HGTV's Jasmine Roth and Barry Williams, we were in charge of Greg's wonderful penthouse and then we found you. I'm a big deal up here and every block we played Jan Brady helped me recreate Alice's room.
Why was it important for us to arrange Alice's room correctly? Alice was kind of a selfless character on the show, you know, we saw some of her life. but it's really nice to think that we were able to criticize Alice a little when the producers chose this house to become the Bradys' in 1969. It was just because of its exterior, now, after this massive renovation, the interiors exactly match the Brady Bunch sets . When I first saw this I thought it was impossible to achieve. It's like traveling in time, but traveling back in time and coming home. I think everyone really felt the genuine love.
It is the definition of surreal. They created a home that only we have. in our memories now because it was a sad 50 years later in honor of your 50th anniversary, what do you want viewers to get out of this? That they will have an experience of what this house represented, which is just getting along. communicating trusting each other or in the words of Mike Brady one for all, all for one, that house became a reality, my goodness, and it was an incredible seven months when HGTV bought this house, it was a one story and it ended up here, meaning there is no second story or iconic.
The ladder is a big problem. Our team added over two thousand dollars in feet of space to the back of the house to account for every room in the TV, including the second floor. I see the elements of the staircase, all the meticulously combined furniture comes from there a long time ago. episodes, someone received three coins for the fact and my grapes are here. How close were we to the horse? We take advantage of it. We always walk from the kitchen to the living room or to the front door as is or up the stairs. coming down the stairs the horses that are an anchor it was strangely disturbing being on the second floor of this house because our rooms were actually right outside the back door, one at the bottom, even subcontracting through fans to find rare items like this stuffed giraffe seen in almost every episode in the girl's bedroom, the house will bring back memories of classic Brady scenes like this, no you know what mom said, she always says don't play ball now and since inside out our camera is capturing the final reveal of the backyard. everything here feels so good it's crazy to walk in and feel like everything is organized by the paramon yeah you know it was a home and and and this is real now I need to throw, throw the ball with my nose in honor of the the scene is complete, peak , the football lieutenant, we did it, so now that the renovation is complete, what happens to the Brady house?
