Beats Studio Buds vs Powerbeats Pro - Which One Should you Buy in 2022?

Apr 03, 2024
Hello everyone, welcome back to Brian Miller's Tech Channel and today we're going to talk about the Beats Studio Buds and the Power

beats

Pro and

which

one you

should

buy in

2022

. Now the way I'm going to do this is: I'm going to compare the two and see how they compare and match and

which

one the buyer

should

buy to start this comparison and list the prices. The Beats Studio Buzz on Apple's website can be found around 120 dollars and the Power

beats

Pro can be found around 180, so right off the bat the beats

studio

buds

are a bit cheaper and as for msrp , the

powerbeats

pro are actually $250 in the 150s, but right now beats is on sale, that's why the prices are different, but they may change over time, so you'll have links in the description to the Amazon or Apple links so you can click on them if you're watching the video later and see if the prices have changed or not, but the beach

studio

buds

at msrp are a hundred bucks less. that the

powerbeats

pro and powerbase pro came out in 2019 and the beats studio buzz came out last year I think, or in 2020 one of those two, so next I want to talk about what these look like and how they look in your ear and around . and about and just seeing if you look silly or not now I really like the way the Beats Studio Buds look, especially in the case, the case is really nice and compact and looks very clean, I like the matte one, I feel the matte finish.

The case itself is nice and compact and you can place it practically anywhere. Now the earbuds are quite small and you can see them in my ears right now. Look directly at me. It's a bit strange. It's like they stick to my ears like me. I'm Shrek or something, but from the side it looks quite nice and clean, it's really very small and overall I like the way they look. Now the power beats have a very different type of design, as you can see, they have these giant ears. hooks, these are more like sports headphones, like um focused, so they have the ear hook so they stay in your ears really well and I mean these, um, they fit and look pretty good in my opinion, I think that I prefer the look of the Power Beats studio headphones because they look more fashionable and like they stick out less from your ears and more like a fashion statement, like I'm working out and I look good while doing it, do you?

More Interesting Facts About,

beats studio buds vs powerbeats pro which one should you buy in 2022...

You know? Next, I'm going to move on to the adjustment. These fit, obviously they should be much better than the Beats Studio, but it's mainly because of the ear hook and that's why it really stays in the ear canal, at least for me, I don't know. they all have the same year so it may be different for everyone else but for me at least these fit a lot but on the Speed Studio buds but I didn't hit them at all so they don't have a hook or nothing or like a pair. a wingtip, they fit my ears quite well.

I used to have airpods pro a couple of years ago and their design is like they immediately stay in your ear, it just expresses itself there, you don't really push them, these aren't like that, but I like it that way because it's more well fitted because of the ear tips, it actually stays much better in my ear which I like but overall the winner goes to the powerbeats from the next comfort which one is more comfortable in terms of comfort? I feel like they both do a really good job and aren't going to hurt your ears or anything.

I know, at least the ear hook doesn't hurt at all for me. Can I wear them for hours and still not get ear fatigue or anything with them, but because the Beats Studio Buzz are smaller I feel like they are more comfortable and they fit my ear really well, in fact I think they They are more comfortable than even the airpods pro and those are actually very comfortable. The earbuds uh the tips of the powerbeats pro are a lot bigger than the uh beats studio buds, but in my opinion, I didn't like it much in terms. of comfort and sound, so I guess it's more the fit than anything else, it just didn't bother me in terms of comfort, so overall I think the Beats Studio does a better job, but you can go with either .
Now let's talk about the cases. The main reason I bought these Beats Studio Buds was because the case was so small. I was using them for a few months and I was the type of person who had these in my pocket because I like to have my friends with me at all times. They are very difficult to carry in your pocket because they are as big and bulky as you can imagine, so when Beats came out with these, I was very excited to try them because the main thing I liked about my airpods pro was that the case was really small and very , very pocketable and when I saw the boots they announced this and I saw how small the case was comparable to the airpods pro, it's a little bigger but it's a pretty similar size, I was very excited, I was very excited, as soon as I could grab them, I did and let's just say I really prefer this case to this big one, now I understand that it has to be this big because it has to have the rechargeable battery and still has to be big enough to fit those big headphones in the first place. place, which I understand why it's so big, it's not a big hit and I guess it's more of the circumstances now in terms of pocketbook, as you know, obviously, this one is going to beat it 10, 10 times out of 10 because it's so small that it even fits in that little pocket, that little pocket that my fiancé has called the Airpods Pocket where you can where I used to have an Airpods Pro and I usually slide it in there.
These can do the same as the last one. These can just be your normal big pocket and still be too bulky. we'll talk about the battery life, which is a really important thing, in terms of battery life, the headphones themselves for the power beats, it's nine hours for the beats studio buzz, it's eight hours with anc and transferring mode transparency disabled and with anc and transferring. The on mode is five hours, which is a pretty dramatic difference having them on and off, which I normally use all the time, so it's only five hours for me, which is a little unfortunate, but for five hours it's nice , okay, but nine hours.
These last four, it seems like most of the time when I'm sleeping, I use them because the side button on this one isn't clickable and I sleep on my side, so these are pretty much a no-no. I do, but I just like these because since they are hooked they stay in my ear all night and play the music that I love. I listen to hip-hop at night for some reason it makes me sleep. You don't even ask me, but I listen to them, I use them, I listen to them and then I wake up, there's still like 68 batteries left even though they're playing music all night, which is pretty phenomenal, but both cases will give you 24 hours with the Buzz included battery life so that's really good so there's not a similar difference between them but I can't help but wish these had even more battery life in the case because it's very large but lasts about 24 hours, which is enough. time in my opinion so in terms of battery life I think the powerbeats definitely win this category but if you don't care too much about the anc or transparency mode then these should be fine for you next we will talk about the Features that these bring to the table.
I'm going to start with Beats Studio, but that's because they're the newest. The main features of these headphones are the smaller the design, the smaller the size, it also has an active anc. noise cancellation and transparency mode and it is much more compatible with Android than the power beats, it is not like that, the main reason is that these beat studio buds do not have the apple h1 chip while the powerbeats pro do have it and I think that is the main difference. so you won't get special features like audio sharing or iCloud auto pairing where for example on my iPad I'm listening to music like DC The Dawn music or something like that and then I can go to my iPhone full of YouTube videos.
I'll make a change you won't get that with this but for the powerbeats pro they have that Apple h1 chip so you can expect to have those features with these as well now they both have spatial audio if you're using Apple Music and you have spatial audio on like so out atmospheric audio. Both will work so it's not an Apple h1 exclusive feature so Apple implemented both so it's pretty good and the powerbeats pro don't We don't have any anc or transparency mode all we have is passive noise cancellation , which is basically when the tip of your ear, like um, makes a seal in your ear and cancels out some sound because you know you have a seal in your ear, your surroundings may be a little bit muffled, but it's not going to cancel out everything with noise cancellation. active noise cancellation, it's computational cancellation basically, so it has microphones on the outside of the headphones where, uh, it lets in, it lets sound in, but then it plays the opposite wavelength, so it cancels out the wave, together, these they're okay compared to the airpods pro, they're not that good compared to those, but on their own, if the airpods pro, if the airpods were like, they didn't exist or something. this is its own bubble, it's pretty good now the transparency mode, I wouldn't buy them for those because they're not, it's not that good, it's very very muffled, it doesn't really sound natural and there's like a slight hiss every time you do it I'm listening. but it does the job I guess that's the point and for 150 it's pretty good for the price now as you can imagine as it doesn't and doesn't have any transparency mode so you're not really going to be able to hear very well your environment if you want, which is fine.
I guess what you can do is just take off one earbud if you need to listen to something, so there is a workaround for that, but if you don't. I don't like the fact that they don't have it, the Beach Studio headphones do and at best it's fine, so now I want to talk about the most important aspect of any of these headphones, obviously the quality of the sound if you're going to get them. headphones you're listening to music you're listening to podcasts you're listening to YouTube videos with these about how they sound compared to each other now, you know, if you know better, they both really focus on the bass, okay?
The Bass Beats brand has been synopsis with bass, it's all their own thing, but lately they've been doing a lot better, you know, other frequencies that you know exist instead of just the low end. Now, since they launched in 2019, they still have that old one. The rhythms feel a little bit where the base is. It's pretty shady. It's pretty dark. The treble isn't really that good. The media is fine. These are bass heavy headphones, not to say they aren't, but sorry. As these just do a much better job, the bass is much tighter and punchier and the bass gets very low and I really prefer the way they sound over the powerful beats.
Now I'm a bass loving guy like me. I listen to hip hop most of the time and I love the way the bass sounds so I'm not an audiophile by any means so if you want an audiophile's perspective I would look elsewhere like damn ponds! Damn critics! fancy labs look at those guys, they'll tell you what you like to expect from these, from an audio files perspective, but from a hip hop bass loving guy's perspective, I prefer the way they sound compared to these, but if you don't like the bass on Then there are ways to turn it down, like on iOS, there are the equalization settings and the music settings, you can just turn them on to reduce the space, so if you don't like it, you can increase the treble and everything there is.
There are a lot of things you can do with the equalizer that can tune them however you want, but if you just want them out of the box, these are bass-heavy headphones, but they focus much better on other aspects of the music, so my overall pick for you . Guys, if you are a sporty person and really love that deep and thick bass then these powerbeats pro will be the perfect match for you, but if you are a regular person and just want some good quality headphones with some noise cancellation to block out like members of your family or coworkers if you're in an office environment or you want to go for a walk and you need that transparency mode to hear your surroundings and you just want to listen to music and sound really good to the beat.
