disappearance

of nine-year-old Aysia Degree, and this case is incredibly frustrating, I know.

I probably say it's the beginning of each of these videos, but the frustrating thing about this case is that there is literally no evidence, nothing really, so this video will probably be super short, but we'll talk about that later in the video. Asia Degree was born on August 5, 1990 in Shelby, North Carolina, to Harold, an Aquila Degree, who was married two years earlier in 1989, on Valentine's Day, which is actually very unfortunate because that is the day that they should disappear. Aisha had a brother named O. 'Brian, they grew up in an apartment in a North Shelby subdivision and had a very sheltered upbringing.

They weren't really allowed to watch television, especially Near Eastern television, because her parents thought the news was too negative, which I understand, but they like it. Also, I rarely got to do anything social. I have social interactions outside of school, family, and church, and they also didn't get a computer at home in grade, and of course the reason they didn't have a computer is also what makes it notable. Aquila Degree said in an interview that every time they were in the news there was always something like a pedophile luring a little boy using a computer, so she didn't want them near her house because she didn't want to take that risk. .

In 2008 she was 9 years old, so she was in fourth grade at Fosston, an elementary school. Probably due to her sheltered upbringing she was very shy, very shy and very intimidated by social situations. Her nightgown, which was white, had red trim and she had pigtails in her hair, so around 8 p.m. She went to bed and so did O'Brien because they shared a room, so they went to bed at the same time. I guess there was a storm coming that night too and I think around 6 p.m. There was a car accident, so all the power in the neighborhood went out, but it apparently came back on when Hal got home, which was around 12:30 a.m. m., and when Harold arrived home at 12:30 a.m. It was also February 14th, so it was his anniversary and unfortunately it was also the day Aysia disappeared.

They thoroughly checked around the house, they didn't see any signs of forced entry and all the doors to the house were still locked so they locked the house and then decided to spread out and search all around neighborhood by neighborhood street by street trying to find find Asia or some clue of a shell that was not found much the first day in everything except a mitten that could have belonged to Asia but Aquila said no and that she was not missing any winter clothing but very soon after the police discovered that His backpack and several items of his clothing were missing from us, according to reports that the only items missing were the backpack, of course, a small notebook with a photo of Tweety, a pair of pants, a pair of sneakers and a...

Aquila decided to use this. in her favor and begged anyone who had her to bring her back or anyone who knew anything to come forward and of course with the media attention came some witness statements as well. Witnesses first called the police saying they had seen a girl who matched. In Asia's description that morning, the girl matching Ash's description was seen on Highway 18, which is a two-lane country road and stretches for 145 miles both north and south. This route was also taken by Asia's school bus, so it was familiar to him and I guess he would have known where the road would have ended and because this road is so long, there are different parts, like when you drive on a highway.

It was like I would insert a picture, yeah, but you know, when you go down the road and there's all these trees lining up like that, it wouldn't actually be really dense, it wouldn't really be a forest, like deciding it was about 1.3 miles to the south. from his house right near the intersection of Highway 18 and Highway 180 and this is the last sighting of a sight and for two days after all these witnesses arrived there was nothing, but on February 17th, just three days after

I feel like I didn't tell you anything because there really isn't anything, so let's go ahead and talk about theories now, the first theory is that aha. he was a sleepwalker and sleepwalking is apparently not uncommon, especially in children, and it's actually crazy or what people can do when they sleepwalk and don't even realize it.

They rebel the most because they want to experiment, so they have an experience, so they experience them all at once when they realize, I don't know if they realize that West is the right word. , but she was only nine years old, so I feel like she probably wasn't old enough to realize that she was very sheltered and that she was missing out on a lot, and besides, she seemed to be fine with living her life as if she didn't overstep the boundaries of her parents.

She hadn't really done anything at school as if she were very happy to comply with the rules that her parents had imposed on her, she had never shown any signs of rebellion or anything like that from her. The experts also chimed in and said that it usually takes more than this for a child to run away, they say it usually takes a child to run away from something, whether it's a family situation, whether it's something at school or you know an incident. what happened or a specific person, some people talked about the basketball game. and how maybe that triggered it.

Honestly, I don't think it was a big enough event to warn him to run away, especially considering he got over it pretty quickly and you know, he was laughing playing with his basketball friends, it's possible that something else was going on. Maybe something was going on at school, people were making fun of her and we didn't find out, maybe something was going on at home and she didn't have, you know, a good home life, someone at home was, I don't know, I've had. Another thing to keep in mind in this theory is that not only did she not like to cross her parents' boundaries, but she was deathly afraid of dogs, which scared her a lot. I haven't read anything about it, there's no real evidence of it and she led a very sheltered life, so who could have? I've been close enough to her to prepare her to do something like that. The backpack is definitely what makes her look like she was kidnapped because otherwise how would her backpack end up 26 miles from where? she was last seen she was not seen anywhere else nor was she seen near the backpack I feel like someone would have seen it if she had to travel 26 miles maybe she got lost and just succumbed to the elements? Or you know, she got disoriented and tripped over something and if someone found her, what are the chances that someone who wanted to maybe murder or kidnap a child was the one who discovered it?

Well, let's talk about this guy named Donald Ferguson in January 2014 Ferguson. was arrested for the sexual assault and murder of seven-year-old Shalonda Poole, she was found dead behind Jones Elementary School and her manner actually took place in Greensburg, North Carolina in 1990. He was convicted of this crime and sentenced to two life sentences for it, he was actually found through DNA evidence and it turns out that he actually knew the victim, was a friend of the family, even helped search for her when she disappeared a year after the murder took place for First time in 1990. He was actually arrested for sexually assaulting a ten year old girl.

He pleaded guilty to the charge of sexually assaulting this ten year old girl. He was sentenced to eight years and was released in October 1997 at the time of the disappearance of Asia this guy Ferguson was actually known to be in North Carolina, I think he was in Spottingsburg, which was about 38 miles from Shelby and about 140 miles from where he landed, who was killed, now this guy was a lot, he had a history really bad in 1989. is when he sexually assaulted the ten year old girl and was arrested in June but got bail in July 1990 he sexually assaulted murdered Shalonda pool and in August 1998 her grandmother was shot dead in March 1991 he pleaded guilty of the 1989 assault and was sentenced to eight years in prison, but was released in 1997, as I mentioned, five days after his release, he and some members of his family were arrested for the death of his grandmother, but they were all released due to lack of evidence.

In 2008 he was arrested in Gaffney, South Carolina, for failing to register as a sex offender. In November 2012, he was arrested for defrauding a bank and was sentenced to one year, but he just served the sentence and then in January 2014, he was arrested and charged. Due to the sexual assault and murder of seven-year-old Sherlynda Pool between 1999 and 2000, her whereabouts were not known and this is the time when she should disappear and, what's more, Asia was actually within the range of age and physical appearance he seemed. to be attracted, so in Asia's case, he is definitely a suspect for many people.
