Mar 24, 2024
I used to run a women's and queers night at a local art show. I met this person called Sabrina, we became really good friends, honestly a lot of our friendship was really great, we both loved electronics and we really talked about it a lot in When she had another really good friend, they were inseparable, in a moment she ends up moving in with this friend quickly, everything goes downhill and I spend more and more time with Sabrina. I heard that her old friend/roommate was really horrible at all kinds of things. irrationally it sounded like a really horrible situation.

Sabrina and I become very close. I am in a very committed long-term relationship with another person named John. Sabrina and I ended up taking a lot of trips together and at one point Sabrina's computer breaks and I give her my old one. I didn't clarify it because she is very computer savvy and I didn't really think that a lot of it she should surely clarify herself at one point in our relationship. “John and I decided to have an open relationship,” Sabrina says. that she likes me and that we should go out I tell her no, I care a lot about her but I don't want to go out with her, we get into a pretty big argument, one of many, we always have a lot of fights every time I meet men and I go out with them and her She is quite critical, we talked about it and I decided not to share that aspect of my life with her anymore.

Sabrina moves into my best friend's house and everything is mostly fine, it's very strange but she never talks to any of the other roommates they don't like a single word to any of them one day Sabrina doesn't respond to me at all Messenger and I know she's been sick. I ask my best friend to check her and she says she's fine. She spends more time and I come over to check. She has diabetes and she is very very sick I call an ambulance and we go to the hospital She has some kind of problem related to her diabetes I missed a big talk I was supposed to give spending the night with her in the hospital so she doesn't She's alone, but it's not a big deal, she's my friend and I really needed her that night.

As time goes on, we have some weirder fights, but I guess they're largely misunderstandings, some about the people I hang out with, how I use my time, etc. Sabrina's house is for me, she trusts me with secrets and we hang out quite often despite occasional disagreements. I'm a PhD student, so at one point at the end of the winter semester I had to take some time to finish my work. I didn't really notice the distance growing but it had been about a week since we saw each other when I'm buried in my work I really need all my brain she seemed sad so I suggest she go out with some of the other mutual friends that We had, well, she refuses, she says she needs to see me in this, she really needs her best friend.

I'm starting to feel like I have to be her whole world, a feeling I've had before, but this time I dismissed it. I feel quite uncomfortable with that and try to set some boundaries between us. We have this weird kind of push-pull interaction for a few months. After this, she gets angry, ignoring me and then messaging me or acting distant if I ever contact her. At one point, she suggests that she go out with me along with a group of friends and she says: you know I hate them, why are you trying to make this so difficult for me?
I am very stressed in general and I am actually going to therapy to deal with it. I'm starting to feel very paranoid and just assume it's stress induced. Finally Sabrina messages me on Facebook and tells me we need to talk. I agree and she says she figured out what's wrong with him. she's basically telling me that I'm all she thinks about and she's absolutely obsessed with me and it's destroying her, she says I can't interact with her, hello is too much, she asked me to completely disconnect from her. Honestly I'm really baffled but I agreed to try it, it's actually kind of hard to do because she lives with my best friend and as a member of the study something in the back of my brain tells me to check my computer logs so I did it. do.
I found out that Sabrina has been logging into my Google account for a year and a half. I see that her device is no longer available for a long time. If you don't know, you can look at your Google account and see all your connected devices. I saw Sabrina's laptop. I logged in in the last few days and it says active. I checked the last activity and found my device. You can also check this in your Google account. I've never used this feature personally because I really had no reason to. I use Google activity to verify.
I'm a pretty meticulous Google Calendar keeper, so I can easily cross-reference almost everything I can see, that she's been using Google Timeline, and find my device every time I go out. a day with John or anyone else or if I was out with someone she didn't know, she had access to all my photos and videos as well as my chat logs. I can see this, she has been going through every photo where I was who she was with what she was saying etc. I decide to contact a good friend of mine who is very tech savvy to make sure it couldn't be an accident and there is no way he can be.
I realize that my stress-induced paranoia was not a fact. Because part of my brain knew something was wrong, I can think of multiple incidents that are really big red flags. Now, one time I was on a date and she texted me, "You're at the park." I'm going to come find you and somehow I let it happen because I was stupid. I just said no. I'm having a good time here. I can also see that she never used find my device when she was home, indicating that she was reading my chat logs or that she had something else going on. way to know where she was she was also able to correlate her hospital stay with the day she was tracking me and I know for a fact that many diabetes problems can be self-induced.
Now I can see that a lot of the fights we had or the things I miss because of her problems were also during the times when she was following me all of our discussions about my time in my love life seemed very clear to me now, in fact, I found out later that apparently her old roommate had similar problems with her. She was always very worried that Sabrina had put something on her wifi or was following her and that's why the relationship went downhill so much. Eventually all of this comes out to everyone. Our friends say she did this because I made her responsible for my safety, which is absolutely crazy.
She had also told people that one of the reasons she followed me was because I made her my servant. I mean, I feel so messed up about all of this. I realized it through correlated diary calendars. and Google activity logs that she had been fighting with me when she had intimate conversations with men or when she went out with people she didn't know. I feel like my stress-induced paranoia was religious. My brain knew something was up while most of her stalking me was when I was on dates, a lot of it was when I was hanging out with some of my old friends that she didn't know about, for example she used find my device when I was in medieval times with a friend of childhood and I did not tell her if I had made her my servant or responsible for my safety.
He certainly wasn't in any kind of danger in situations like that. I feel like I'm ripe for this kind of thing. I am very forgiving. especially if I think someone is struggling with something, so I excused so many red flags. I once saw that she had Twitter notifications for my posts on her phone. I always heard a buzzing sound and when I posted I felt very uncomfortable but I just let it go and joked about it, it was very silly of me, it was clearly a sign, I just didn't realize it could actually be that bad if you see a red flag or you're feeling paranoid, maybe look, I don't know, I just wanted to get it.
I said that too, I'm also very happy to be a big Google Calendar user, which allowed me to build a case to prove that it was actually happening. I'm so grateful for that and for Sabrina, wherever you are, whatever you're into. I really hope you get help for your very disturbing behavior. Do you really need it. This happened a few years ago, during my second year of college. I suddenly had to change dorms because the housing and residence at my university were completely horrible. Long story short, I and a few other student workers lost my job and actually had to move in one day.
My parents came five states away and made a big deal at the housing office so I could have more time to move. Really important later in the story I used to go on Instagram live a lot because I'm a music student and practicing in front of an audience really helps me improve my piano skills. I guess Instagram had started offering the feature of showing

stories

and lives on the explore page so I ended up getting a lot of views and comments from strangers, nothing too bad, usually just song requests that I couldn't fulfill because I had a strict repertoire from my piano teacher or harsh eyes from strangers I used to do it with.
I enjoyed the lesson until I received a comment from a man who knew the exact location of my university. I've never used any type of contract school in my lives or advertised my location on Instagram, so it made me a little nervous. I stopped doing lives after that. For a while I was stuck at regular work and thought everything was fine. The guy sent me some messages offering to take me on a date. A quick scan of his profile made it clear that he was at least fifty years old. He worked as a laborer. for the city near my university he asked me several times a day what buildings my classes were in, if I liked the cafeteria, etc. so I finally got scared and decided to block him, however before I blocked him I called him a pervert in a Damn weirdo for being so interested in me when I was much younger than him and for also trying to find me when I was trying to go to class a few weeks later, after I had forgotten about his strange messages, I received a message from him that said something like this like I waited for you in front of your old bedroom for hours but you never showed up.
Did you go home for the weekend? You shouldn't be so rude to me next time or we won't have fun every time we meet. Face to face, that message scared me more than I'd ever been scared in my life. One of my closest friends graduated from college and started working as a campus police officer around the same time all of this happened, so I decided to go check it out. her and see what she could do, unfortunately there wasn't much that could be done about it, but I definitely retired my social media presence. The guy had followed me from two other Instagram accounts with different usernames and I blocked them all before he could even send a message.
Luckily for me since I left after that spring semester, I haven't heard from him since so has the creepy old man on Instagram who wouldn't leave me alone. I really hope I never hear from you again before I get into this. Yes. I know I was really stupid. I know there were a million times I probably could have walked away, but right? I was a little stubborn and that often got me into bad situations online to get some context at the time I was suffering. of some undiagnosed mental illnesses with depression, anxiety and why psychotic symptoms are some of them.
I also had a very tense childhood so I had a lot of trouble making friends at school, that being said I was a pretty lonely kid so I went and still go to the

internet

for friendship and attention in 7th grade. I had a not so popular tumblr blog at the time. There was a movie that I really liked. It was a shitty action movie. The fanbase was pretty small and I was super obsessed. So whenever I met someone else who also liked it, I would always share his pose and text him to talk about the movie.
I knew this guy all the Colts hummed like this. I texted him and immediately thought it was strange. He wrote a very happy text for lack of a better term, it was also immediately very affectionate, it seemed strange to me, but I knew that a lot of the people who posted about that movie on tumblr were from different countries, so I thought it was probably just a language barrier. We spoke on and off for the next few months during this time, he had actually revealed to me some personal issues he was having. He said that he felt like no one liked him and that he was sad all the time and he felt like the only one.
The person who was there for him was me. I've never felt incredibly responsible for other people's well-being over the

internet

when I didn't really know them that well, so I basically said something like "everyone, thank you", I'm very glad. I can help and I tried to recommend that you go tosee a therapist. There were a few other things that caught me a little off guard, like this time he sent me a link to a role-playing blog he had made for some animal. Oh, see more records. I don't do role-playing games. I checked the blog expecting some kind of joke and then Tom proceeded to say in character that he wants to give me all his love and that I'm very cute. and I didn't really think much about it.
He had tried to distance me a little more because, honestly, he was kind of a pain. It was starting to become a chore to message him once he had called me some nicknames like he usually does. I did and went ahead and asked him how old he was and he said he was 19. I told him I'm 13 and he would really appreciate it if he stopped calling me names and talking to me so sweetly. He told me that he was sorry and really didn't mean to make me feel uncomfortable. I told him he was fine, but he was already thinking about asking some of my friends if this seemed normal.
Long story short, some of my friends didn't really believe it was. Normally, I ended up blocking Tom and posting a long, rewarding post about him, a while later, a Tom blog through another account that Ryan followed me on. I didn't really think about it much at the time, at the time I was in eighth grade and had about a thousand followers on a pretty edgy side of Tumblr. I mean, he had weird followers all the time. Although I checked his blog. and since I'm a snooper, I look at his likes and his follower list, to my surprise he had only liked me and followed me, he had pages of my posts in his like section and I started to get a little worried.
I texted him and then explained to him hey, this is probably nothing, but I'm a bit of a paranoid person. Can I ask you why you have only interacted with me on this site? I'm just curious. I remember his first response to this was don't worry. About me, I'm a good guy, which definitely took me by surprise, but I kept pushing. I tried to ask him if maybe he had a previous account or some other social media presence so I could make sure he wasn't a creep. He had given brief answers saying that saying the names of his previous accounts made him anxious.
I started to get a little more aggressive in the conversation and then posted about it publicly as the conversation continued and he liked and responded to these posts as well as saying things. like he just wanted to talk to me, i really had enough so i ended up blocking him and then writing him off as an illiterate internet weirdo. A couple of months later, my aunt died. It was a really difficult time for me. I posted about it on my blog because that was really the only place I felt I could VIN without being disrespectful because I hadn't been very nice to my aunt over the years, almost immediately after I talked about it I started getting a lot of anonymous comments .
The hate mail started out simple, it had a bunch of paragraphs about not liking my personality and how I was judgmental, which wasn't all bad and there were plenty of people I'd gotten into a rut with who had plenty of reasons to hold me back. He had a grudge against me so I brushed it off and responded and jokingly said something like "fuck you", it really wasn't a big deal at first. I really thought they were all jokes until the mill started getting more and more aggressive at this point. In the story I should probably clarify that I am a bisexual transgender man with some form of neurodiversity.
I started getting tons of mail calling me FT NR, insulting comments and I also became vaguely sexual as time went on and this eventually got on my nerves. I stopped answering them completely and realized that this really wasn't a joke anymore. I later received a question that was extremely sexual, was about a paragraph long, and detailed how Cinder had some kind of fantasy in which I was essentially the dominant one and Adi. dlg relationship wearing the ashes and them calling me dad, this question sent me over the edge and I started to completely freak out. I ended up redoing my blog after we recursively installed deer counters on all my online accounts.
I was very nervous, but I was still not aware of the seriousness of the situation. I had told my followers in a previous blog that they would have to message me to find my new one. I checked my DMS to see if any of my friends were asking and a solid Hello Kitty themed blog's DM was almost empty with a few photos of some ping dresses and candy. The blog asked if they could find my new blog. I politely decline because I didn't know them. I went to check and see if it was a game account created to find my new blog and sure enough, that blog had only been created for about an hour before they messaged me.
At this point, I really started to understand that I was being harassed online. I woke up the next day. tomorrow to a message from the Hello Kitty themed blog telling me that Ryan had found my new blog and that he wanted me to leave. I decided to check my DMS on my previous blog and saw two messages that said well, don't hit it. Then I panicked and moved the blogs once again, he kept finding me over and over again. I figured through friends I could see on my StatCounter that he would stay on my blog for about 10-20 hours straight just scrolling through the pages.
I think he knew that I had an accountant too because he always made sure to visit certain more personal posts that I had made, one that I specifically remember was one where I mentioned my huge fear of needles, there was also another time where he joined. a small Discord server that I was a part of, luckily my friends were able to figure out how secretive I was being and then they banned me and then I found out that the account was new, it was only created about 15 minutes before joining the server until this spot. I didn't mention anything to anyone I knew in real life.
I was just too embarrassed. In fact, I convinced myself that this guy was going to murder me. I felt it like a certainty. I started to give up on my life plans because I thought I would be dead in about a year at most. Sometimes in one night, Eric would close doors and windows with whatever furniture he could move and I would lie there wide awake, the whole night. terrible experience lowered my mood significantly and no one seemed to care, my grandparents told me that it was really no big deal and that I shouldn't be online anyway, almost every adult I told about this simply told me that I ignored it, my mom was the only one who believed. me, but even she had a limit to how much she could tolerate my paranoia.
I ended up deciding to report Ryan to the police assuming he was in the United States. I decided to look for walls about cyberbullying in my state and started demanding a report of everything that had happened up to that point, including the screenshots, and I worked up the courage to tell him to stop contacting me and accessing my blog. He never answered these questions directly. The obsessive viewing of it still persisted for a while, although then it slowly began to happen less frequently. It was almost all over at that point. I was greatly relieved when I realized that he was no longer looking over my shoulder every hour.
Now I never ended up reporting him to the police because the situation calmed down later, although I got really angry and was curious and decided to try one last deep dive to find out who this guy really was. I had a strong hunch that he was Tom from before, who was really offended that I didn't return his affections. I ended up finding his deviantART on his deviantART. He had published a lot of art and writing about the mutilation of women and children, not just teenagers of 17 or 18 years old, but also children of six and ten years old.
When I went on his Twitter I saw that he was obsessed with a six-year-old boy. anime girl Edge Bell, he talked about how much of a virgin he was to her and how much he wanted to have sex with her. He also got very defensive when someone implied that no, a six year old anime girl isn't going to do it. having sex with you he was also quite aggressive and apparently had some accounts that had been closed for harassment. I also found out that his IP was actually banned from the servers for the same reason until today.
He still looked over his shoulder. online and in real life wondering if Ryan or Tom or whatever would be there. Honestly, I've considered reporting him to Interpol since he lives in Spain, but I've decided that probably nothing will come of it, so Ryan or Tom or whoever you really are. I really hope I don't run into you online again. Well, this happened about four years ago, when I was 16. I was super vain and really worried about my appearance. I always wanted to look so pretty, so I tried my best every time I went out. or I took curly pictures here with fake eyelashes, you know, the whole nine yards, but I've since had kids and I have a man who tells me I'm beautiful when I look like a bum and I never bother with makeup or anything anymore anyway, I had my Snapchat. account set to public so anyone can see my

stories

or take photos of me.
I always thought that if someone is weird or something, I can block them, yeah, well, one day I'm out to lunch with my mom when this random guy texts me. He says I'm really pretty and this and that and I'm super nice, but I don't really care to talk to him so I just say one word back in hopes he'll take the hint because honestly, I hate being rude. Then he asks me if I'll send him nudes at all and I tell him so well that he didn't like it very much that he told me I was a whore and that he hated women because they're all a bunch and I'm just mad because no one likes me, yeah, okay, I told him he was a psychopath and then I laughed at him and he threatened to sue me for defamation.
Yeah right, anyway I thought that was the end, well it wasn't. I blocked the guy and go about my day as usual when someone adds me on Snapchat. I looked at the user's information and his instant score was zero. His username was also something really strange. They don't send me any snaps or anything, but they continue to see my stories every day. Just one day, we fast forward a few months and this person takes my photo. He was answering the same one-word words because he didn't really feel like talking. You'd really think he'd learned the first time, but no, he starts out cute. small talk and then out of the blue he sends me a couple different selfies of me that were posted on my story months ago.
He asked me if I could print them for him and he gave me the sizes he wants them in and then he tells me. He gives me his address to send them to stop which I immediately shut him down and then the unthinkable happens. The guy sends me a couple of framed photos of me in his house on the wall. Oh hell no. I really scolded him. well and then I blocked him not long after that so I get another random account adding another weird username to me. I deleted it and changed my account settings. He still has my username, so he adds me from a million different accounts, which I won't add again, they were all super weird usernames.
I won't give out the actual usernames but on Snapchat you can choose a display name and all of these were pretty similar to the usernames, one was I'm wet and the other was just Add me again Snapchat also tells you how the person added you , either by searching user by phone number or quickly adding, each of them said user search so I know for sure that you searched for it, each account had an instant score of zero so they obviously just created the account, I just know it was him, so did the weirdo who keeps adding my Snapchat years later because I won't send him nudes, you really need to take a hint, leave me alone, my husband and I really.
We love to drive, we prefer road trips on weekends or in the evenings, when we have nothing better to do, we usually just cruise and drive, we prefer smooth, uncrowded roads on this particular night, we were really bored and We decided to go on a cruise. We drove north to a small town about half an hour from the city, where the roads are curvy and smooth. This town is quite close to the mountains and if you follow this particular main road to the north, start driving up a mountain it is around 9:00 pm. and there are very few cars on the road anymore, since it is a nice little town, but we keep going north, away from all the houses and shops and finally, where the roads start to curve uphill, we drive for about 15 Minutes more and it's completely dark.
When we see some flashing lights as we get closer, we see that there is a truck on the side of the road in front of us. I get chills thinking that I'm here in the middle of nowhere and there's a truck stranded in the road. side of the road as they slowly approach, I tell my husband that it's probably best to turn back and that I had a very bad feeling, but at this point we were practically next to thetruck as he pulls up next to the In the truck, a young blond man, maybe in his 20s, approaches and approaches our window.
This gives me a very bad vibe and I tell my husband not to roll down the window. I think he also has a strange feeling, so he really listens. I just asked out loud what's wrong and the guy says something like something is wrong with this truck and maybe he needs help. His phone is also dead. My husband asks what happened, but the guy just insists on showing him. and to come take a look he says a very friendly hand he even calls him brother and says he is very glad we have arrived my husband says you know what man I really won't be much help I really don't know anything about cars but let me call someone to see if they can help you with this the guy insists and gets visibly upset I'm looking back at the truck and I thought I noticed a movement inside the truck I tell my husband I really think we have to leave like now.
He probably saw the scared look on my face because he then put the car in reverse, but while he was doing it, the guy is now right behind our car and is acting very stressed and rubbing himself. her face and her type of ride so my husband decides to keep going, instead we drive for about two minutes trying to find a place to turn around since the road is so narrow that the road turns into a path and there is a little more room on the side so you can turn the car. I'm really afraid to go back that way now and our phones have no signal in my mind.
I mean, I know this whole thing could really be someone with car trouble, maybe there's a friend in the Truck too, I mean, he never said he was alone, but I can't help the bad feeling he had in the bowels. We soon reached the area where the truck had been, but there was no truck. Then we went down maybe another five minutes. but there is no sign of the truck and we are absolutely sure that we passed by the place where it would have been as I said, we didn't drive too far to begin with. I am relieved and absolutely terrified that the truck is gone.
There I mean if it had really broken down, how did they make it work again in such a short time, calming down, I tell my husband, hey, maybe they really made it work, maybe it turned on suddenly and they were able to leave. I mean, it's suspicious but not impossible. As we continue driving and the roads are straightening out we notice the truck in the distance with all the lights off and it's parked on the side again and I notice movement in the bed of the truck I say out loud why did they turn off all the lights I think we're still too far away to see them but we see two figures get on the other side of the van and then they crouch down like they're trying to hide Wiggy closer and my husband says it as we pass by the two men, they get up, one of them, the guy we had talked to and the other, someone else with a very surprised look on both their faces. one of them runs behind us for a while and we see them getting smaller and smaller in the back.
I keep looking back absolutely terrified but now it's dark out there when all of a sudden I didn't see the truck's headlights come on, then they started. Driving in our direction and very fast, my husband keeps going fast and we finally lose the lights. I keep looking back the rest of the way, so scared that somehow they're still following us, maybe they turned off the lights again and we just can't see. They anyway after driving for a long time back to the city we try to convince ourselves that no one is following us we decide to call the non-emergency line and give them a description of what we saw no, we did not get the plates of the truck It was all very fast and with all the fear I didn't really think about catching them.
We gave a description of the type we saw and the type of truck it was, but there really wasn't anything else that could be done. Now I realized that all of this could probably be rationalized, but at the time we were absolutely filled with terror, I mean being there in the middle of nowhere and all the possibilities that they could have been armed, could have put their trucks sideways on the road. and they left us with nowhere to go, they could have put something on the road to break our tires and although everything could have some kind of explanation, there are still so many questions why couldn't he tell us what was wrong, how did the truck happen again? work so fast Why did they turn off all the lights and why did they hide?
It's been about a year and it's a

scary

experience. Now we still go cruising, but we usually stay in areas that are a little more civilized. At least for evening cruises, I used to ride a motorcycle as my only method of transportation when studying and working in hotel cocktail bars during summer vacations. About six years ago I was working in a stereotypically historic Grand Hotel in a very rural area. UK area Worked a long afternoon and well into the night Finished cleaning the bar around 2:00am. m. and walked through the underbelly of the hotel to retrieve my motorcycle and make the trip home.
I can still clearly remember the feeling of Chris's night air and the pitch black silence of the countryside after the hot and seemingly endless nights of serving drinks to all the dinner goers and party goers, it was always something intensely relaxing now. that being an adult meant not being afraid. of darkness or being outside on a motorcycle in the middle of almost nowhere at 2:00 a.m. Walking through the local town took me a few minutes before I set off to follow the dark country roads home. At this point in the story I was riding a 125cc Honda, about 11 horsepower, pretty basic and old, but clean, and it got the job done despite its quirks, like the dim headlights, which dimmed and still flickered. more when I stop.
I was driving on these pitch black roads with fields and forests. surrounding me and I was very alone for about 20 minutes and then out of nowhere I saw a brief burst of bright blue headlights in my mirrors that came right behind me moments later, there were blinding headlights that had arrived right behind me in seconds, almost Then the Range Rover pulls out to overtake me and passes just inches from me. I decide to respond with a very long blast of the horn. Big mistake, the Range Rover overtakes and then hits the anchors and what looks like a try. make me lose control by braking suddenly or that they were trying to make me go back in range, buycks can, even when they are old and rely on drum bricks, stop pretty quickly, so I didn't end up rewriting the maniac I was in front of.
I stopped in a controlled manner. I see the stove door, then it opens and then a figure starts to walk out. I went for it using the little Honda's eleven horsepower to overtake, however at that moment, this angry, crazed maniac had closed his door and then stepped on the accelerator causing us to be completely level and accelerating together as I reached his car. , then began to run me off the road, pulling to the right and trapping me further into the ditch on the side of the road. where I ended up and struggling to control the bike in the wet, I walk through the thick grass on the side of the road trying to prevent the three-hundred-pound motorcycle from falling into the ditch.
I struggle to regain my balance. Butz managed to pull the bike back into the ditch. At this point on the road, I realized that the guy had gotten out of the Range Rover and walked to the back, opened it and was looking for something inside. He had turned the bike to face the other side of the road, ready to turn in any direction and tried to escape the escalating situation just as I looked to turn around. I gave him one more look to then see him pulling out a large, long object from the back of the range.
I just tried and gave him another look over my shoulder. After about 200 meters, I saw that he had started to continue driving down the road, away from where I had escaped. Then I slowed down to see what he did next. After walking away from me, he reached the top of the road and stopped. to the left waiting for me the lights were now reflecting on the road it was absolutely eerie my heart was beating so fast but it felt like time had stopped I decided to continue in the opposite direction trying to find an alternative route home in the It was completely dark just before to do this.
I decided to check my phone for a signal and I didn't have any cell coverage. Yes, that was definitely one of the scariest nights I had experienced in September. I was taking hunter education classes with my father. Basically you earn parts of a gun, handle it safely, etc. Since it was in person and not online classes, the instructors had a lot of stories to tell, mostly about people not handling guns properly, shooting while intoxicated, etc., most of them don't. It ended well, where we are going to film a lot those two weeks to prepare for the test.
In the end, we once went to an abandoned town where a lot of people were shooting and it had been closed due to high lead levels. I had butterflies. The whole trip there, but I just wrote it off because nerves were the number one mistake that night. We were the only ones there. We thought it would be pretty good since there would be more places open. Keyword I thought we set up in a place that was behind a hill and he shot another hill that was nearby my dad was aiming the .22 gun that we had brought I was sitting behind him I had my earplugs on so it was very difficult hearing things especially far away, suddenly, out of nowhere there It was a very loud gunshot, it had to have been my dad as I was so close to him and it was so wild that I was initially quite scared as the stories mentioned above were told about gunshots that were accidentally made at the beginning of that well with a worried voice.
I asked him if he was my dad when he told me no, my fear became much greater. Another shot was fired and our only thought was to try to be seen. We quickly unloaded the weapons to make it safe and then ran up the hill. Mistake number two. my mom was wearing bright yellow and we were all jumping up and down waving our arms, there was absolutely no way they wouldn't see us after two or three more shots we ran towards the edge, it was like a valley or a dry field. -out of the lake, the edges were quite high, we were at the bottom and the shooter was at the top, the next part confirmed our belief that he had seen us and he still continued shooting anyway, my dad decided to call the police to report what was happening.
He decided to walk further to see the details like the color of the van, how many people were there, etc. and then he was in sight of the shooter a little bit after my dad made the phone call, the guy left, probably assuming it was the cops or they called other authorities, we're not really sure, but we were pretty convinced he was shooting at us . We stayed where we were for a long time waiting for the police when a group of high school students showed up, my dad went and won. I told them about the previous events and we decided after about 15 minutes of waiting and the police not arriving that we wanted to get out of there as soon as possible, we went and gathered all our things and then we looked where all the shots had gone and there was no more there were shots.
Over 25 meters away as we walked away the police finally arrived, they asked us some questions and we were finally able to get the shit out of there, whoever it was, unfortunately he was never caught and luckily we never went back there until today. I really don't know if he was just trying to mess with us by trying to shoot us or just drunk, but whatever the case, we were absolutely terrified when it all happened, just like a possibly drunk long range shooter. I hope my family and I are not. meet you again I remembered something that had happened to my best friend and I a few years ago and thought I would share it here while my best friend and I were seniors in high school and went on a weekend trip to visit my grandmother a couple of years ago.
A few hours from my town in Georgia, the town we lived in was comparatively small for the state, but within a few hours it was one of the largest cities, but we had to travel about two and a half hours through small towns, somewhat southern, to get to my grandmother's house. where we were on the way home when we had to stop at a gas station literally in the middle of nowhere, I'm talking corn fields, cotton fields, streets with no signs or lights and not even stop signs and definitely no cell service. The convenience store that was attached to the gas station had maybe a couple of snacks inside, but it was deserted from the outside and we decided not to bother buying anything butgasoline.
I paid by card mainly because I didn't want to leave my 5ft. 100 pound friend all alone in the car while I was getting in, another card stopped on the other side of the only gas pump while I started pumping gas and because of everything I had read before and let's not meet, I already had a really feeling strange and decided to stay alert and stand outside the car with the driver's side door wide open. The reason I did this was so my friend could see and hear everything that was happening in the late fifties, where a shorter man came out.
The car and he appeared to be paying at the pump and standing next to his car while I pumped gas, but after a few seconds he walked around the pump and then maneuvered down my hallway to stand a foot away from me and asked if he could pump my Gas for me, luckily the gas nozzle was long so it pumped without me having to hold it. I immediately placed myself between the door opening and the man and prepared to close the door with me inside or move and slam it shut. Me to protect my friend if necessary.
I calmly told him it was fine and no, thank you. He looked me up and down with the corner of his lip raised and then said, "You know, pretty girls like you shouldn't be here alone." You definitely shouldn't have to do this alone, let a man help you baby and then he proceeded to cover my hand with his as he reached for the gas pump I was holding. I pulled my hand out from under hers and then hit her. Then I pulled my hand out from under his and slammed the door, thankful that the last thing I would want is for him to get in my car and drive away with my friend in the passenger seat.
The red flags were completely ringing now that my typical overly polite behavior turned serious when I remembered something I had read here that said it was better to be safe and seem mean rather than polite and awkward, so I responded and said sir, stay away from me I can pump my own gas and I already said no thank you leave us alone he didn't move he just lifted his chin and managed to make eye contact with me his tilted lip completely disappeared now I stared at him and thought he had enough gas to last. It gave us enough time to get the shit out of wherever we were, so I made eye contact to get the nozzle out and basically threw it back into the pump before getting in my car and driving away before he had moved as we drove away.
I looked inside. I looked in the rearview mirror and saw that his car wasn't even full of gas, so I guess he was just driving and then he decided to help a damsel in distress even though I was nowhere near a damsel in distress. A friend was shaking all the way home telling me that she would have let the man pump our gas butts. We're glad for some of the confidence I gained from this sub. It helps me stay alert and respond with enough confidence to get out of it. crazy situation, so did the creepy, helpful man at the gas station in the middle of the Georgia ghost town.
I hope we don't meet again. This happened about five years ago. I had just gotten over a really difficult breakup from a codependent relationship, so I was going through a phase where I was trying to be more independent and self-sufficient and generally feeling more comfortable being alone. I went alone to many cinemas, restaurants, etc. when I lived in Montana, where spending time outdoors is great solo camping recreation. It seems like it would be a really good workout and would be really self-sufficient, so I packed up a small tent and went to Jerry Johnson's Hot Springs. Jerry Johnson is a natural hot spring with a few small, mostly natural pools in the mountains on the Montana border. and Idaho I'm going toTry to keep this as brief as possible so I don't keep explaining the place.
What I will say though is that it is really in the middle of nowhere from the interstate. It is about a 1/3 mile walk across the bridge and into the woods. and from the interstate it's about a 45 minute drive in either direction before you reach any kind of civilization in the form of a gas station. There isn't a motel or anything attached to Hot Springs like some, it's really just a forest. I land with some small pools of warm water and if you ever go, you'll probably be the only person there. There's plenty of daylight, so I decide to go soak first and then set up camp when I'm done.
I make the short walk to discover that there is a couple, a man and a woman in their 30s at the main pool and they seem a little surprised to see me. I greet them friendly from a distance as I approach at the beginning, they really don't. They answer, they just stare at me and then the guy says what are you doing, man. I didn't tell him that I'm really confused and don't know what he means. The man then asks, isn't that you? that he's been creeping through the woods and watching us for the last hour.
I assured them that psy didn't know what they were talking about and they started telling me that there is someone in the woods, way off the trail, apparently I have been yelling at him and he just doesn't respond, he will go into the woods for a while and then reappear somewhere else. place by simply looking at them after they have been assured that it is not me. I undress and get into the water. His pupils and eyes were enormous. I guess they ate some magic mushrooms. I never asked but it seems pretty obvious, it's not a big deal, it's basically the perfect setting for something like this, but it makes me think they might be having a bad trip we talked for a while and first about the creepy guy and about a few other things, the state Their mood brightens and they seem quite relieved to not be alone.
I'm a relatively big guy and I guess there is strength in numbers, no more sightings of the Creeper, they get out of the pool before me. I'm alone in the pool for about 10 minutes before I hear some screaming in the woods. I decide to cut off my soaking in case anyone is in trouble. I get out and dry myself quickly. and then I got dressed still almost wet when I heard another scream. Then I started walking quickly. I finally ran into the couple who were yelling in the woods and saying things like "hey, we have a gun, but they don't." I asked them what was happening. and they say the guy was standing ominously on the road and watching them in the distance when they started yelling at him, he left the road again and then retreated into the woods now he's out of sight through all of this. it happens they never get a good look at it we walk back to our cars we decide we will all camp close to each other there is an official campground but you have to pay the guy tells me he knows another place that is relatively flat would probably work for us I agree and decided to drop in with the.
He's not far away. They set up his tent and I set up mine about a hundred meters away. I wanted to give them enough room to trip or whatever and I was out there. Firstly, for solo camping, we were in a dry season on the forest floor, so neither of us made a campfire. I set everything up and just sat and read a book and really enjoyed all the nature. The mosquitoes made me retreat to my tent. around 6:00 p.m. and at 9:00 he was fast asleep around midnight. Then I was woken up by the sound of screaming.
I grabbed my flashlight on my .22 pistol, put on my shoes but didn't tie them, and then started running towards the other store when I arrived. The two of them were standing outside the store with their own flashlights and completely lost. They said the guy had been there and that we all had to get out of there as soon as possible. They showed me a cut in the wall of his tent that he had made with a knife and then Hazard hurriedly packed up all of his things and we headed back to the camp. Only then did I realize that he hadn't actually grabbed any of my things.
I asked them if they would come back with me. to get it and they basically said, sorry buddy, you're on your own, then they got in their car and drove off. I thought about it for a minute. I could come back the next day and pick up my things, but it's already been over an hour. I drove an hour each way and I was already there. He had a gun, but if he shot someone in the woods, even in self-defense, it would be the start of another nightmare that would probably last the rest of my life.
I made the decision and decided to go back for my things, I turned off my flashlight and basically I was stealthy and in Javad I went back to the tree that surrounded the clearing where my tent was. I thought if it was really quiet then I could probably hear him, but he couldn't hear. It took me about 20 minutes to get to where my tent was since I was moving very slowly. When I returned to my tent it was completely intact. I quickly threw my backpack, put the flashlight in my mouth, grabbed my tent and it was completely assembled.
I stayed with my sleeping bag still inside and then ran back to the car with a loaded .22 revolver in my hand. I got back in my car, started it and drove away, what didn't really occur to me until later is that I never saw this. guy and this day I can't be sure that there was really anyone in the forest. I really doubt that these people would have cut down their own tents, but at the same time I doubt that there was actually just one guy hanging out in the desert all day and night just to scare these campers, it's really possible that the two campers really were playing with me, if so, they really deserve an Oscar for their performance, since they really looked really terrified.
I guess I will. I never really know, although the story took place when I was 23, so about 10 years ago I was living in upstate New York, in a very rural area, with my ex-boyfriend and his family. He and I used to argue a lot one morning. Before going to work, he and I had a very heated argument. He was 20 years older than me, but during this particular fight he acted juvenile, he jumped out of bed, turned me around and then yelled if you don't like him that much. then just going back to the Bronx, that was all the push he needed.
I threw away my ugg boots and my winter jacket, grabbed my cigarettes, and then flew out of the house. Unfortunately I am very impulsive and did anything to grab my cell phone before barging in. I didn't drive, so my only option was to walk. I don't think I had any intention of walking back to the Bronx at the time, as it was a three-hour drive upstate, but I really needed to go for a walk. Dramatic and angry walk. I realized that once I got to this road at the entrance to the RV park, I had no idea where anything was around me and I had only lived there for a few months at that point and to be honest, I didn't really We knew it.
I didn't go out so often that I turned left and just walked and walked where I knew civilization was. I found myself walking along a busy stretch of road with 18-wheelers flying around spraying me with slush and completely soaking my shoes. I saw my then- My boyfriend drove by on his way to work and then sped up as he passed me, obviously still angry about our fight. I thought for sure he was going to turn around at some point, but he never came back. I remained determined to try. to walk to my best friend's mother's house, which I knew was in the same city, it started snowing and I was losing momentum.
A past f/w where a nondescript van was parked in the driveway, it wasn't until I had already passed that, I had even noticed that the driver was in the front seat and called me hey honey, do you need help ? My stomach turned as I realized I would have to accept the stranger's offer. I approached this truck very slowly and tried to weigh it. my options he was a clean guy, seemingly normal, older, white, gray hair, blue-green eyes, average. I blurted out: are you a good guy or a bad guy? and I was ashamed for asking such a stupid question.
He responded well. A good guy, I mean, I wouldn't really tell you if he was a bad guy, although I ignored all the bills that were going through my head and sat in the front seat with them as we drove. I realized I had no idea where. my friend's mother really lived. She knew the name of the road she lived on, but it covered a good distance, so it wasn't very helpful in finding my destination. I asked to borrow a cell phone so I could try to call my best friend. to ask her where the hell I was going I called her about three times and she didn't answer because I guess she didn't recognize the number I started to fill in explainably desperate after a few minutes she asked me where I was from and While I was in the middle of nowhere in the snow in pajamas, I wanted to explain that I was originally from the Bronx and that I had gotten into a fight with my boyfriend, then he paused and then said, "You would." I wouldn't be interested in making a little money, would you?
I laughed nervously and just said no thanks, although then she responded well. I figured since you said you were from the Bronx, then I stopped and realized that at that point that's almost certainly how deep you are. Shit, I mutter, oh, sure, sure, he looked me up and down and then turned away.she laughed before scoffing, sure, sure, she says. I started to panic big time, but I knew I couldn't show my fear. I scoured the landscape looking for a padded snowbank that I could probably land on if I got out of the truck to no avail, all the houses were so few and far between.
I made sure of that and that would be how I met my demise. I'll never know why, but it was at this point that he decided to ask me who I was going to see. I quickly wrote the name of my best friend's mother and the name of her husband. He instantly perked up and explained to me that he knew her husband. I felt a huge wave of relief when he explained to me that he knew exactly where. his old friend was alive when we finally arrived at that big yellow house, it was like arriving at the promised land.
She got angry. Lea decided to ask her name, Steve, she said, and then she asked me mine. I gave him a fake name. I left at full speed. thank you and then I ran as fast as I could from his truck to the porch. I crashed into the front door and then closed it behind me. I immediately started crying and running around the house trying to find my friend's mom. I had actually woken her up from a very deep sleep but she didn't say a word seeing how shocked I was once I knew I was safe with her, then I explained everything to her, the fight between the runaway boy and the weirdo in a sexual proposal and she listened.
Horrified and curious at the same time, she made me promise that she would never do something as reckless as that again and that if I needed me to call her, she told me that she would ask her husband when he got home about this Steve guy and he would find out. . more about him I went back to my boyfriend a little later that day and got really high trying to forget all the events that happened that morning the next day my friend's mom called me to tell me that Steve was really dangerous. person her husband had cut off communication with years ago, the last she heard about Steve he was apparently arrested for assault and then went on to point out how incredibly easy it would have been for him to hurt me and leave me almost anywhere in a stretch lonesome of the road and no one would know where to look for me, not to mention that's why they may not have even found me until the snow thought it was a pretty

scary

experience so I have an update by sharing this post. with the best friend of mine mentioned in the story she reminded me that I left out a super disturbing detail when her mom called she was able to tell me Steve's last name one of the first results on Google with his name plus the name of the city brought me straight to a place registered sex offender website with a mugshot of him, his eyes seemed cold and empty and I realized that, being on parole at the time, he would have been especially anxious that I not get him into any more trouble with the law.
His mother said it best when she told me that he must have had some serious guardian angels watching over me, so Steve, you disgusting creep, let's never meet again. My girlfriend and I were in a town in Texas right off the highway and we stopped at a little gas station to get beer and chips and stuff, for some reason when we got there I felt the need to tell you that I really think I need to get in with you this time, which was very strange because normally I always stay in the car. whenever we go places or if I go out I never feel the need to announce it when we walk in, everything felt normal, we were just laughing and joking that the cutout of the half naked Model girl had a super pixelated face.
Then we started looking at all the beer and I was very hesitant, but I realized that we were both very sketchy, so I had two coconut margarita type drinks without even thinking about it and ran to the counter thinking we needed to get out of there very quickly there was a growing feeling of being watched it was like pure malice that I had not filmed before. I can't really describe it there was an old Hispanic man leaning on the fridge next to the counter and practically watching each customer everything felt slow it's hard to explain when I put my things on the counter the man started smiling at us really Wyatt and then he started to talk in a very strange way, it was like he was trying to be charming or nice, but he really just came out, it's really creepy outside the door.
I could see a man in a red jacket also looking through the doors and watching and waiting. Pretty obvious now that these men were waiting for us, it's really hard to explain the overwhelming feeling of dread we had and I didn't really talk about it until As we were leaving the parking lot, the man in the red jacket was still wandering around the street. building and watching us as the car drove away from the city we were in, it has a pretty bad reputation for having a lot of human trafficking victims coming and going and I honestly think they were just hoping to find the perfect victim.
I honestly think that if I hadn't walked in with my girlfriend when I did, they probably would have taken her away or maybe pulled me out of the car. I have never had such an intense feeling of doom and paranoia in my life, it seems very mundane. but it was definitely very close to what we continued to discuss for the rest of the night. We are very lucky to have entered together and left as quickly as we could. I mean, who knows what could have happened, so this was about two years ago. On Halloween my best friend and I were leaving a club in Dallas and we stopped at the gas station to buy some snacks and soda, the guy comes up to me and then tells me that I look pretty, at this point I'm pretty drunk and I really don't I'm worried about nothing, so I just thank him, smile, and continue looking for snacks.
Then he starts following me through the gas station but I just ignore him by the time my friend and I pay and we are leaving when he comes up behind us and asks us where we are going right now. I'm just thinking fuck, we say we're going home and he seemed to take the hint and left us alone. My friend was planning on driving home in my car since I was in no condition to drive, we were about three blocks away from my car when we noticed a car going very slow right behind us, we backed up several times and that's when we realized that it was the guy from The gas station is following us and we decided that it's not a good idea to take him back to my car, so we decided to turn around and walk a different way towards the street where the clubs are.
He makes an illegal U-turn and follows us. He then rolls down the window and then yells at us asking if we need a ride. Then I politely say no, thank you, we're fine. I think we just took a wrong turn. Lo and behold, he continues to follow us, we speed up or speed up a little. and he speeds up, he calls us again through the passenger window, he asks me again if we want to ride, I tell him to please stop following us or I will have to call the police and then he proceeded to call me a really nasty name. before we took off yeah the weird guy at the gas station who decided to follow us hopefully we won't meet again so one day about two years ago I was at my house with my little sister and our friend there were about 20 or so of us We were 21 years old at the time and they were all women, we were very hungry and decided to go out and buy sushi on the way to the restaurants.
I noticed I was very low on gas, so I stopped to buy some. I walked up to the pump and parked the car, went to the gas station to pay while my sister and our friend waited in the car as I walked through the parking lot towards the store, I noticed a man had started looking at me with a really creepy smile on his face . We made eye contact and he yelled across the parking lot. Hello beautiful, why don't you smile? I didn't respond or even acknowledge him, however a young woman witnessed this and then told her, "Don't tell her to smile, let her." alone, she doesn't have to do anything for you until today.
I still sometimes think about that woman. Then I thanked him and continued walking towards the store while they waited patiently for me in line. The same man entered. He came right there. to me almost instantly while I was in line and he started touching me, he started rubbing my arms and lower back and then I walked away, I said out loud, stay away from me, I don't even know, don't touch me where I will. defend myself some of the other customers at the cashier were looking at us I caused the scene hey he whispered in my ear that I need to shut up so people don't think he's a creep suddenly the man ran out of the store and straight to my car where my sister and my friend were still inside I ran after him, he opened the car door and started to tell them something when I pulled him so hard by the collar of his shirt and then hit him in the face, hey, Ben proceeded to call.
I had almost every other vulgar name in the book, but he left us alone, then got in his car and drove away. I'm very happy that that was all that happened. I'm much more aware of my surroundings now than I was 17-18. Years ago I was driving home from a friend's house after a movie marathon, it was around 1 a.m. When I got out and a pretty decent ride, it didn't make it halfway, the gas light came on. I had some scary experiences with cats at gas stations and I was a little paranoid stopping so late in the middle of nowhere as a 110 pound woman in the end I think if I wasn't so cautious I probably would have been kidnapped or worse, the first gas station I found was pretty well lit and in a pretty open space I drove to the pump and looked around my car mirrors before getting out as I was starting to pump gas, this normal looking guy walks out of the gas station store and then starts smoking a cigarette, the pump kept going off and not working so I started playing with it trying to get it to pump, this guy then started looking at me and laughing.
I assumed he was just laughing to himself as he watched a teenage girl trying to pump gas after getting about 1/4 of a gallon. I decided to give up and switch to a different pump after this point. If I hadn't done absolutely everything I did, I probably would have been screwed when I got back to my car. I lock the doors just to drive to the other pump. I checked all my mirrors before I got out and turned my car off again and that's when I saw the guy walking towards my car, he was smiling and then he was walking towards the driver's side window, I didn't want him next to me, I got out. at the passenger window, he paused for a moment, then just smiled to himself and walked over to the hidden passenger window, he stuck his head inside my window to talk to me, the conversation was followed, hey, I know this seems like very strange, but I promise.
I'm not a creep or anything, my car broke down and I really need a ride home. It's only half a mile off the road, sorry, but I really don't know that you like that. Oh no, I totally get it. I thought it was pretty. It's strange since I was walking here, but it's only half a mile from the road. I'm totally stranded. I really wish I could help you, but again, I don't really know you, yeah, I could understand you if you had a truck or something. I offered to ride in the back sorry, no it didn't happen, suddenly he looks very angry, he pulled my door, but I had already locked it before, he decided to reach for the inside handle of my door, right through my car window.
It was still running and I put it in first gear and then got out as he opened the door, the car he started slammed it and I accelerated. They called the police on me after I ran away, they looked at the gas station cameras and after I left he got into his red SUV and drove off. If he hadn't locked the doors the second time, I would have been screwed if he had let him near the driver's side window. He would have caught me if I had turned off the car. He wouldn't have been able to get out in time and if he hadn't double checked my mirrors I would have been outside my car when he approached me.
I'm really lucky to be so cautious, honestly it probably saved my life. That day, one day after work, around four or five in the afternoon, a girl I worked with and I decided to go see a movie, it was a difficult shift and she and I felt that watching a movie would be very nice and she asked me if we could pick her up. home so he could change out of our work uniform. I told him it was okay since I was about five minutes away at most. We stayed at her house for a while and then had a quick snack and got into my car.
She asked if we could stop. next to the gas station next to her house so she could grab a Red Bull one more time. She seemed good to me because she was close to her house. I drove to the gas station and the only parking was next to an abandoned car wash next to the gas station to get a better picture the gas station and the car wash were next to each other both entrances faced the same way it was completely dark outside the gas station was quite dilapidated, one end did not havelights at gas pumps like most When doing so, it was mostly dark except for the light coming from my car.
There was a truck that was on the other side of the gas station. There were also some cones there indicating that the area would inhibit the driver. she did what she needed so I assumed the parking spots wouldn't be too close and parked, my friend got out and I got in and decided to stay the course and she would only be there for a few minutes. I walked through my doors after she came out as it was a forced habit to do so I used my phone a bit and after a couple of minutes I saw a white flash in the driver's side mirror of my car.
I turned to look as he was pointing right in my direction. a flashlight was pointed at my window and he just held it there for a few seconds. I was a little scared, but I assumed he had a reason for doing it. Then he started walking towards my window still with the flashlight on. I rolled my window down no more than an inch, assuming maybe he was just going to tell me to move my car, then he stopped when he moved about 2-3 feet away from our window and then just turned around at this point. I was pretty scared just because there was no reason for what he did, so I just rolled up the window and waited for my friend.
I'm still watching the guy just in case. Sam rummaged around the front of the truck a bit and then stopped. and I turned towards my car, there was something in his hand, but I'm not sure what and I'm so glad, I don't know. Then he started walking towards my window and he was saying something and it was pretty loud. This time he came to my door and tried to open it. He kept trying to pull the handle a couple of times but he couldn't get it open, then he started pulling it a little more aggressively. My friend came out of the gas station and she was walking to my car she looked scared I was scared too the guy saw her coming to my car and walked quickly back to his truck and then I drove away as fast as possible I'm not entirely sure what happened or what was going to happen or what he was trying to do, the only good theory my friend and I had was that maybe he saw that I was a girl and that I was alone and assumed that I would be a good target for kidnap or something, although it's just a theory.
I'm really glad I never have to find out what he was actually doing so I asked him some background on my family who lives in a state away from me and at the time this happens I had just turned 18 and my mom They finally let me drive to see them, which was about a five and a half hour drive, no big deal. I bet I can smoke and drive that easy and I did it halfway there. I needed to stop for gas and get snacks, as you can imagine I was craving. I wasn't very familiar with the road or where the gas stations were along the way and they were a bit spread out so as soon as I felt it wasn't smart to wait until I found another gas station which I pulled off the road.
I've always been a little suspicious of people in general because I didn't have an easy childhood. I grew up learning to sense when things aren't right, so I wasn't really worried about being myself because I knew how to handle myself, so I pulled into this relatively empty gas station, maybe one or two more cars, but it was one. larger with one of the antique shops. I parked at a pump, closed my doors and walked in, there was still no one at the counter and there was a sign on the counter saying they would be back so I just went and picked out a snack and a drink.
When I entered earlier, I noticed a man in his 20s. Just wandering around the store I saw him look at me when I walked in, but I didn't really think about it, I didn't pay him any attention. I went and opened the door of the soda when he approached me. and he opens the one next to mine, this wasn't particularly strange to me, but the fact that he was literally on the other side of the store when I walked in and then as soon as I go there he does it too, I thought, Okay, I'll do it.
I look for a different drink so I go to the tea section and I stand there for a second and he follows me to the one right next to me once again, only this time he looks at me, smiles a closed-lipped smile. really creepy and then says hello. I also want to say that even though he could have easily been trying to be nice or flirt or something, I got an instant creepy vibe from him when he first approached and that intuition had never failed me before at this point. I just look. to him I nod, then grab something and go to the counter thinking to myself then I can grab a snack later, he comes right behind me with just one of those jerky sticks, he literally didn't even take anything from the refrigerators that he was looking at and right next to mine and he stands super close to me and I mean, he was literally right behind me.
I could feel the heat of his body on his breath on the back of my neck. I'm literally just waiting for this damn cashier to hurry up. I get up and come here so I can get away from him so I decide to start calling someone, no one answers or comes out. The guy behind me is texting on his phone and just looks around him and at the door like he's waiting. someone finally I'm like screw it, I'm leaving here, I leave my drink on the counter, he walks out, he follows me at this point, I literally run to my car and I remember filling my jacket with weed, but with the impulse of my Arm swinging he couldn't hold me firmly.
I go up and close the doors. I turn my car at record speed. We make eye contact and out of the corner of my eye I can see two men around the corner from the gas station. Three of them run into my car, which is not too far from where the first guy is, and I get out of there almost wrecking my car on the corner. I don't know what they were planning to do, but I imagine it was about to happen. To get me kidnapped I called the police because I don't know where the ATM was and I had a very bad feeling that they had done something to them when the police arrived they were already gone.
Now I always carry a knife with me when I drive down that road, so this happened last night. I'm a 21-year-old woman and I arrived at the office later than usual, but not too late. I left around 6:00 and realized I needed gas so I decided to stop at the gas station which was about two minutes away from my work, it was still quite light due to the summer which made the situation even more strange. I go to this gas station and nothing had ever happened before, so I was pretty relaxed and tired and generally at work while I was pumping gas there was a truck with two guys that stopped in front of my car, but perpendicularly, weird, but I kept filling my car so I could return home.
The two guys looked like two normal country guys. I was a little older, in my 40s or 50s, but I still felt a little uncomfortable. The guy driving was speaking quietly, but at first I just ignored him. Honestly, I didn't even realize he was trying to talk to me. The guy then yelled at me. me, which really took me by surprise. I think I said something like: Can I help you? The driver gestured for me to come over to talk, which I didn't do because I felt so bad about the whole thing, the guy finally spoke at a normal level and said they were looking for the shortest covered bridge.
This wasn't too strange a question because it's a little difficult to find without a map briefly. I told the guy the directions from the gas station and was grabbing my receipt, this is when all my red flags went completely off, the driver then asked me if I would take them there, he was out of my way so I said no hand started to climb into my car, then he yelled at me, spoke loudly and said that I could leave my car and go in his truck to direct them there, then I wouldn't have to waste my gas or something.
Just thinking about it scared me a lot. I got in my car and didn't respond, the truck didn't respond. I moved, so I had to back away. I was quite worried about being followed. They followed my car, but I took some random side streets instead of driving directly onto the highway. Oh, and also the entire time the passenger was just watching. For me it was also really creepy, everything was very strange and the fact that they were trying to get me into the car really scared me. I ended up calling the non-emergency police line to give them a description of the truck and let them know they tried. getting into his vehicle in any way is the creepiest thing I have ever experienced.
