Today, again, there are two sizes of traditional round ornaments and they are oval ornaments which I love, but they are so cool that they are upside down glass jars. I love these light bulbs, they even had snowmen and we are going to make

with them. These gingerbread men first we're going to give these guys some personality some color and some sparkle and first we need to remove the decorations from these ornaments and then leave. I found the perfect spray paint you guys, this Shiny Metallic Cannon. We'll try to find a link and put it in the description box, however I found mine at Hobby Lobby and we'll flip them over to the back, starting with the back first, they are somewhat rounded in the front so they move around. if you just lightly spray them here and there instead of giving them a good coat first, then they won't slide as much.

The reason I always do the backs first is because every time you let them dry and then turn them over if there are going to be scratches or anything that happens on the back, so after they have dried, I we'll go around and give them a couple coats of the same spray paint making sure the front sides look really nice. definitely make sure to let them dry completely before the fun part of decorating them and giving our little gingerbread all the details. This is just some white fabric paint that I'm using as the icing on our gingerbread man, basically just going over everything.

In the raised areas of the ornament you can skip the bow tie. I decided to add some color there a little later. I found this cute ribbon at Dollar Tree by simply making a simple bow tie, making a bow out of the ribbon, and adding a little more glue. inward and then pressing the center to get two loops on each side and then hot gluing it to the bow tie, what a cute way to just add a little extra color. Dollar Tree also has these fantastic embossed stickers and that worked perfectly for the little center of my bow tie.

I also added a little more here. I'll show you in just a second, but we're going to add some fun, colorful ribbon to the top of this by just tying a knot at the top so I have a nice hanger here to add to the Christmas tree and I also added some of those dots on emboss to your buttons just to add a little more color now if you can find these white trims

them because it will save you a step. We're going to decorate them into cupcakes, so yes, they do. They make colored glue sticks that will act as the frosting on our cupcake and we're just going to squeeze a little bit of that onto the top of our toppers, like some drops and some little ones.
The dots fall like the frosting is falling off, it's super easy and fast and they also make this fantastic teal color too link them in the description box below but you can also find them at Hobby Lobby. I love them because you can really customize them. them to match any decor you have, if you can only find clear trims instead of white ones, you can paint them white or you can use any trims you already have on hand or ones that match your color scheme and decor, now, Of course, I want them to look like cupcakes, so let's add some cupcake background to them again.
I had them from Hobby Lobby, so I use those and use what I have on hand, but you can also use regular cupcake liners for this, so I'm going to add the topper back to the topper and then I had these little sparkly confetti balls on hand that I'm using on the side, acting as a little cherry on top of my cupcake, you could put sprinkles on there. you could put a red bead up there, whatever works to make it look like a cherry. I was keeping this kind of fun and original theme going, so here's two of them together.
I used a different little sparkly berry on each of these and then to finish it off, I used the same color from those hot glue sticks to cover the silver embellishment you made around the edges and also the top to cover it. Now you can add string or ribbon as an embellishment, but I also had some of These are here and you can find them at Walmart and Hobby Lobby during the holidays. They are the cutest little curly wire hooks that make for a fun and easy way to hang them on your Christmas tree. Now we are going to make

crafts

with these transparent lights. light bulb decorations now I don't think they are new.
I'm pretty sure they've had them around, but I've never made them before, so they're definitely new to me. I thought it would be really nice to give them away. They still have that candy theme, um, but I really wanted to add some sprinkles in there and I wanted to paint them white first so they would have a nice base that looked like white frosting underneath. What I did was put them on some barbecue skewers glued together. them in some Styrofoam so they can dry and they don't roll around and get flat spots now we can add our sprinkles, we'll do that with a little bit of Mod Podge here, we're going to put a generous amount on our light bulbs and then just shake off some of these fake sparks.
I found them on Amazon and I'll be sure to link them below as well. They have so many different options. I wish I could have found them at Hobby Lobby yes Can you tell where they would be located at Hobby Lobby? I would love to know because I would love to have more of these in my stash without having to order them. It also had some huge heart shaped sprinkles and while the Mod Podge really held them there, it didn't hold them there to the point that they wouldn't all come loose eventually. I wanted them to be permanent, so we're going to take some painter's tape and wrap the twisted end of our light and We're going to go over them with some epoxy, so this is the last one I had from previous projects.
I'm mixing two parts, which basically activates the epoxy and you take a popsicle stick, stir it all together, and then pour it over your ornaments. It will basically encapsulate those sparkles in the ornament and also give it a very shiny look. You'll definitely want to make sure you have gloves, have your windows open, wear a mask, and also protect your surfaces since these things can get everywhere. If you're not careful, I'll place them back in my BBQ gutters on the Styrofoam to dry overnight. If you've never tried epoxy before don't let it scare you it really is simple and easy this is what it looks like the next day after it had time to dry and cure I removed the painter's tape to reveal the ends twisted and being able to add the embellishment back in an extra step I also did: I added a little bit of that sparkly ribbon around the top just to give it a little more color and Sparkle.
Aren't those ornaments so cute? I loved making them and now it's time to tell you how you can participate. I'm looking at it, although we're not done yet. I think it would be a great video to click and watch below.
It's over on my other channel, Cozy Christmas Cottage. I had so much epoxy left over from the light bulb trim that I didn't do it. I want to waste it, so let's make some adorable donut ornaments, won't it look so cute on this Christmas tree? I'm really excited about this so I

grab

bed some mica powder. I'm adding it to the epoxy you just made. stir it in there very easily and then this silicone mold that you can find at Hobby Lobby. I'm just adding the epoxy right there and I also decided to mix it up a little bit more and make some Pink Donuts.
We'll have some pink ones and some purple donuts, so pretty, the same thing we're pouring into the mold, you let it sit overnight to harden and then it comes back completely hardened and the sparkles in the mica powder make it look so pretty which is almost It's very satisfying to get these things out of the mold, they come right out and then we have the cutest little Donuts, but we're going to work with them a little bit to really make them more special. These had some rough edges when I made them. I did take them out of the mold though, so it's easy to fix, just grab some sandpaper, go over those rough edges and then you'll go in and clean them up.
You can take them to the sink and wash them if you want. I used a baby wipe it worked just as well to clean them up and then we can start decorating them so again I have my colored glue sticks using white this time as the icing and we're just going to squeeze it onto the top of the donut to make sure that some of I'll be sure to link the sprinkles, glue sticks, and any of the supplies I use in today's video in the description box below. the description box will have so many links so definitely check that out to see everything I'm referring to throughout this video.
They are turning out so cute. I couldn't be happier with these. I found this adorable sparkly ribbon at Dollar Tree. We will use them for the hangers when I get it back. I had no idea if they knew. I didn't know. I thought it was a normal tape. It's actually duct tape, so it's pretty thick and I love it. It's perfect. For this I took a razor blade, cut off the ends and removed the paper backing. We're going to run it through the donut, obviously, let them dry and let them cool before doing this part and then you just put the sticky pins on. together, push it together and then you have a nice little sparkly hanger for your ornament, so I did the same thing with the purple one, I just used a completely different color sparkly ribbon, thread it through the center, pulled it up and brought the ends together.
Perfect little instant hanger for hanging on the Christmas tree. I'm going to show you what all of these ornaments look like together at the end, so keep watching below. This ornament is very fun. I found some tulle at Dollar Tree grab these three colors pink, blue and purple to keep with the color theme I found these straws at Hobby Lobby 48 of them for 1.99 super cheap and let's make some cotton candy decorations yeah I know this is going to be so cute, let's take our tool to unroll the package and then tie a knot in the center of the straw, take some hot glue and then push it up into the hot glue and tighten the knot , cut off the excess and then here's how we do it: we're going to bundle to add some tulle around the bottom and then twist the tool around to hold it in place, make another bunch, place it around the straw, twist the tool again to hold it in place,It gets a little tricky as we get to the top.
You're going to do that three or four times as you bunch the tool, basically you're going to give it a little bit more volume so that you have this bigger end of the cotton candy and you get that cotton candy shape, so once you have all the bunches around your straw, then you're going to go ahead and take the tail and wrap it around and wrap it a little bit tighter at the bottom looser at the top tuck the tail at the top you can add a little bit of hot glue to the top If you want and here's what they look like, but stay tuned, I'm going to show you up close here in just a second because we're going to move on to the next ornament that I'm obsessed with, you're going to need some air.
Dried clay, you can find it hot or, sorry, you can find it at Dollar Tree sometimes, but I would definitely suggest buying a good quality kind. I ordered this on Amazon, but you can also find it at craft

store

s. We're going to take some and basically make it like a cookie dough, knead it so it's all incorporated, flatten it out on your work surface grab a rolling pin and roll it out you want it to be about a quarter of an inch thick so what are we doing? We are making some animal cracker decorations. I know they will be so cute, keep watching, it will be like that.
It's adorable when we're done so I found these cookie cutters on Amazon, maybe you already have some on hand, I hope you do or you can cut out these shapes freehand, you can even print some off Google, print them on paper and then place them on there . and go around with a knife and cut them out that way so you don't have to buy the cookie cutters. Cookie cutters just make it a little easier. Cut all the shapes. Remove all the excess. Run your finger along the edges. to smooth out any rough edges and cut out all shapes before allowing them to dry.
Definitely make a hole in them. You can use a toothpick. I'm using a barbecue skewer here, just making a small hole in the top of each of these. Now these take a good 24 hours to dry. My best advice here is to flip them halfway over to let them sit overnight in the morning, flip them over to let the other side dry and then flip them over to the front again to let the front dry completely, let's add some sprinkles to these two. I just couldn't. I found these fake sprinkles again on Amazon adding a little bit of Mod Podge on top of these once they were dry and then I put the sprinkles in there to let the Mod Podge dry completely and to finish them off we're going to seal them with a clear coat and glossy spray paint so this really seals our sprinkles and also preserves our ornaments so you can use them for years to come.
I added some twine to make hanging them so quick and easy and I love them so much. Next we are going to make a snow cone or I guess these look like ice cream cones too. Anyway, my son is obsessed with the snow cone, so I'm always thinking about snow cones and we're going to make some out of plain white cardstock. This will be the base, basically the cone or the cup of our snow cone, just rotating it to get that funnel shape. You want it very small at the bottom. a little bigger at the top and take some hot glue along that edge, roll it back into place so it holds the cone, press down, let it cool and then you want to measure the size you need to cut it.
So these are pom poms, you can use any type of pom pom in any color you want, depending on what theme we choose with that candy theme, so I'm going to make it pink, here are these on Amazon, but you can get pom poms. at Dollar Tree and obviously also at craft

store

s or you may even have some on hand. We're going to dress this up a little bit more with some red and white baker's thread, just twisting a simple bow, cutting the tails and then we're going to warm up. glue it right in the front, then we need to make the little hanger, so I put some of this yarn through a yarn needle and pushed it through the top pom pom, pulled it out, tied the knot at the top and we have a snow cone or an ice cream cone topper.
I am so in love with all of these ornaments, they all turned out so cute and I can't wait to see them displayed on the Ronald McDonald House Christmas tree and I hope you will join me in sending your ornaments to it will also be displayed thanks to everyone who was present throughout this entire video today.
