strategic

plan

ning process. We have determined the objectives of the school. position and with that in mind you have developed a strategy, you have prioritized the needs of your school and you have established long-term goals and short-term objectives, now you need to work on building a plan that will help you achieve those goals, So what is an

action

plan? is a clear roadmap for how your school will achieve these goals, it outlines and maps the individual steps in this process, let's look at six elements of an effective action plan, you must first decide which tasks need to be accomplished, break down a priority into a series of tasks that need to be completed to achieve the goal below you need to know when it will be done when it will be completed it is important to have clear deadlines for each activity or task now just remember to be realistic as delays are sometimes inevitable, it is also very important that Everyone knows who is responsible for completing the task.

There should be one person responsible for each task or activity and this will ensure accountability and responsibility. Next, you need to analyze what resources are needed to accomplish the task. must be completed and this includes financial and other resources and may be a signal to the Finance Committee in terms of any funding that is required. Next, you need to decide what your performance or success indicators will be. This will indicate what will be in effect when the task or activity is completed and lastly you need to decide who will monitor the progress of each activity or task and this will ensure success and establish accountability so that when you are making a plan we know that you have a framework of all the tasks that need to be completed you need to decide your performance measures how to know if you have been successful or not you need to ensure that there are specific and clear roles and responsibilities and lastly you need to decide and communicate different departmental and team objectives I'm going to end this video with a quote from a Lonegan that not
