Middle Tennessee hit hardest hit by tornado outbreak

in the US since exactly one year ago, when 23 people died in Beauregard, Alabama, most of the deaths in this latest

outbreak

occurred in Putnam County, Tennessee, which is about 70 miles east of Nashville. -the city of Cookeville that was hit there are houses in Putnam County that are barely recognizable after the

tornado

left a two-mile trail of debris destroying lives, the tornado came to demolish and decimate everything in its path the scene is surreal , Stunned residents have come out to see the damage in every direction at least 19 of the 25 deaths in Tennessee occurred here in Putnam County. 65 people have been treated for injuries and they even set up a special morgue so people could come and identify their loved ones in the upturned trees.

They are blocking the roads, crews are working diligently to restore power, they are survivors here in Middle Tennessee, they tell us they are used to tornado warning alerts on their phones, but this happened in the

middle

of the night, the couple in this house was sleeping in this room. when the roof blew off we were pretty scared emily hendrickson and her three year old son were sleeping when the tornado hit this is what's left of their room they moved into this house just a month ago headboards there we were lying here this is where all the glass and everything shattered and we've seen the roof fall and everything McCree really, honestly, we didn't think we were going to make it.
