Hello everyone, welcome back to our channel, where today we are going to do an mcm

inspired

makeover on this smooth wooden dresser. I started by cleaning the entire piece with a teaspoon before beginning the tedious work of filling in all the holes, scratches and dents. This piece is

pine

, which is a soft wood, so it has had a lot of them, you know, over the years. Next I sand everything smooth and am sanding the entire top down to keep some natural wood elements in the piece. and after I started priming the body I started to notice some scratches that I didn't see with the other lighting, so after it dried I filled them in as much as I could, sanded them smooth and then primed over those spots again, so I'm going to add some hairpin legs so I have to build some sort of base to create a solid base to attach it to wow so I'm just blocking things up and giving it a nice solid place to screw the lights on too , laughter. regular, now for the top, I'm just finishing it off with several coats of a wipe over polyester.

It takes more coats than with a brush, but it's much easier to use and, in my opinion, for a smoother finish. Oh, that's the last thing I had. the new hardware and I had a little help with the last one and just as a reminder, here's what it looked like before and what it looks like now, so this dresser started out as a blank canvas and sometimes all it takes is a little
