I received this sweet little letter from a girl she was. going to the school about 3 minutes from where we were filming and she said you know we have to escape, you know we need the Pirates to help us so I thought well at lunch break we'll go and bring 12 Pirates and we'll go back crazy and we did it and it was very fun and very sweet. I mean, the kids were very receptive. A little scared, very scared, actually, very scared.

Because how the hell did that letter get to you in a bottle? Okay, let's talk about The Rum Diary. presumably it was a real labor of love, you found the original manuscript, it was 14 years, 14 years, yeah, it was by accident, you know, I was with Hunter Thompson and we were going over the Fear and Loathing manuscript in Las Vegas, where because I was preparing for the movie and then I found this other box, I opened it and there was The Rum Diary and he didn't remember writing it, no, that's a bit exaggerated, now he remembered that he didn't remember writing it, but many years had passed, he he wrote in 59 60 something like that, so you convinced him, I convinced him, yes, this should be published and made into a movie, and it's presumably something semi-autobiographical, definitely, yes, yes, yes, it was. kind of Hunter Thompson before he found his voice before he found Avenue for the rage, you know, he was a journalist in Puerto Rico and he went through these adventures and yeah, and you were good friends with Hunter Hunter S Thompson, definitely yeah . but it sounds like reading about him, he sounds like a pretty difficult kind of person to be friends with, like how could you relax around him? oh yeah, really oh yeah, yeah, well, tell us about the first time you met him, uh, let's look at the first time I met him. he was at a um it was a bar in um Woody Creek Colorado and I was sitting in the back it was some kind of scheduled meeting it was around midnight and I was sitting in the back of this bar and all of a sudden the front door opened in the bar was way back and I saw Sparks, these horrible Sparks that were everywhere and then I realized that when he got closer, the sea was parting, people screaming, throwing themselves out of the way and uh heh heh he was basically on his left .

In his hand he had a 3 foot cattle prod and in his right hand he had a Taser gun and the next thing I heard was out of the way, bastards and the sea parted and he came and then we shook hands and then we left. I went back to his house and I built a bomb and I shot it with a shotgun and it went off, yeah, yeah, you built a good bomb. 80 foot fireball, yeah, huge, it sounds, Nerin and stuff like that, yeah, I mean it sounds fun, but again I just wouldn't relax I think I wouldn't sleep in that house where you slept in the house that wasn't a house municipal where was it?

I was going to invite you back to mine after this, I think I'd be disappointed. No I won't let you fly anything, no I can bring things to fly, oh actually, come stop something for the cat and Hunter, look at the cats looking so big in the house and when he died, the ashes thing was your idea with those. who were his wishes in his will that was his dying wish what he wanted was to be ejected from a 150 ton cannon and shot into the stratosphere um and uh I think he knew I was the only one stupid enough to do that happened and I did it, I did it, oh yeah, all right, listen, we're going to

Amber Herd, Amber her, yeah, it's like a kind of call to remind you of the old. The movie stars at school know that she is almost as beautiful as Carrie Mullikan. She almost she's on the edge of the edge SC, she's a scub. I walked into a room with Amber Herd last week and almost fell on her. I didn't, I couldn't watch. she in the eyes is somewhat blinding she is beautiful yes, even I noticed that she is incredible she is incredibly useful she really is
