How I paid by UK tuition fees by working 20 hours per week.

Apr 08, 2024
hello everyone, welcome back to my youtube channel, i'm your girlfriend, thank you for clicking on today's video, thank you very much for subscribing, i really appreciate you guys, as you can already see from the title of today's video, i will talk about how I celebrated my teaching please in the UK, unless I made a video about the course of study in the UK, like consumer

fees

and what I can really afford

working

part time, and I remember someone saying, Imagine talking about that, it's like, let's see what a man is. I will say that I see that your mind would like to do it easily too, but I am talking about us and my teachings anyway.

Please in the UK how easy or how difficult it was and I hope you get me one or two things so before I start with everything about me and my teachings I'm just going to do a quick backstory on how I got there to the UK and how I came to the UK so if you imagine you know you want to go to university in Nigeria, I need to do the university masturbation exam um utme as um organized by jam and you have to do it and get a particular passing grade to do the post utme as soon as i did mine in 2016 i got 178 and i remember before i finished the exam before i finished the cbt test the computer shut down like 10 times and that was crazy like when i got home after from the exam, it wasn't even like really old food, I used an imac and no one did, a lot of people at my Jam on the school field that year and it was really bad and so I thought, well, what was I going to do next , so my parents signed me up to do levels in a battle and if you imagine, you know what abaddon is obvious and I was in the ESC educational advancement center and while I was doing my A levels I was also preparing to do a game of jumbled when I got stuck again.

More Interesting Facts About,

how i paid by uk tuition fees by working 20 hours per week...

I got um 298 or 289 which was really good and I actually thought it was okay now that I have been in- levels and they allowed me to go to the second year at the university in Nigeria, why not see if I can go abroad? I have to go to Edinburgh, you know it's a very expensive animal, like £19,000, and I'm like, okay, there's no way we can afford our life, stop dreaming and be realistic, and that's what it was when I found out and checked online for similar universities in the UK that I could go to and applied to the University of Newcastle, London, the University of Manchester, the University of Liverpool as well as the University of Westminster and, one more university, so I have five universities, so initially I thought.
how i paid by uk tuition fees by working 20 hours per week
I couldn't apply to universities directly and that's where I made a mistake. I had to pay an application fee and luckily my friend's mom

paid

for my application because we didn't have a dance card bill to pay. I think we couldn't afford dollars or pounds, so our mom

paid

my application fee because the deadline was literally the day I was finishing my application, so she paid the application and then my mom sent the marriage, which which was really Well that was really jello style and then after paying the application fee I proceeded to apply for admission to Unilearn until today even though it has not offered me admission so imagine I was

working

in a university or In final admission, this is where I was. super weird so maybe I would have done other work like over the years but it's like the ninja system feels you, makes you feel like you're not good enough or like you can't really accomplish things and just really it frustrates you and you like with 178 out of 178 to 298 or 289 so I'm positive and I got and I got a good grade even without admission it was like I wasn't going to get laid anymore but anyway long story short I applied for the university in this London, I got a place and for money reasons I want to defend my status from 2017 to 2018.
how i paid by uk tuition fees by working 20 hours per week
My initial grant offer in 2017 now to pay a deposit of four thousand pounds. I also received a question about three thousand pounds that I lost because I didn't sell that diet because we couldn't waste all the money. If you have already been thinking about studying in the UK, you know that you have to have a maintenance amount of 11 and five pounds. I wouldn't have that money because it's a lot of money and unless you're surprised you can easily go into your bank account and make sure you have the length of the employees five pounds, but anyway we're trying to get a loan like we get a We asked for a loan from family and friends, but we didn't actually get any of them, that's why it's different from 2018 and within that year we can spend the money to apply for the visa we like. registration

fees

and one thing I actually did that I felt was really easy: I kept £4000 at university for example, you're also in a situation where you have to defend your status.
I would definitely advise you not to take your Universe Money Back, don't ask for a refund, keep the money with them so you know you really committed, for example if I had asked for a refund and collected my money, maybe I would have liked do the charm again and Go like I have finished the procedure and I will be in Nigeria. Invest now in trying to finish a degree in law. That's all it takes for five years. The system here works better. Anyway, before I start my first year in 2018, I really like the 24,000 pounds. bags, I lost the scholarship, but when I reapplied in 2018, I had a thousand pounds, so it was four thousand published plus two thousand pounds plus six thousand pounds and then before September 2018 I already paid all the fees first year teaching, which was actually very good and the only thing I had to show was a maintenance amount of 11,000,385, so it was super easy and I got my visa, so for me the first year of university was already fully paid before I started, which was a good relief because imagine paying like six grand and then going to work like a madman to pay the rest of the money, it would have been very stressful but anyway, once I started to invest, the pressure was already completely paid and I was working from the first year like um, it's like saved for a second.
I received the university offer from the University of London. I told my friends I was going to work. I was going to work like I was trying to waste the money, but obviously I was. just a dream I had because I also thought then oh you don't have to worry, I will have the money, I will work 20

hours

, I will work overtime during the time, I have all the money, like you win. You don't have to worry about me at all. Long story short, once I got here in September, I was trying to get a job.
It was very difficult. Once you come here, it won't be very easy to get a job. It will take a while, so don't feel sad if you don't get a job right away. I got a job in October at a hospitality agency. I was working as a wheelchair school from one place to another and I was doing it like this. Everything was going well from September to December in the place where I spent like 90 pounds a

week

, so with the money I received from this agency working as a waitress I was able to pay the rent and then I was able to save a little bit but I couldn't save much money I was earning around £600 a

week

I was paying £90 a week rent I had £110 left and I thought that's okay when you think about it like that There's nowhere to save enough money for my second year session phase in December 2018 I started moving with a friend, but I live with this friend I lived with.
I lived there from December to April and I only paid like £75 a month's rent which was like super super airflow like it was a good way to save money because I knew that of that £200 or so I was only paying anyway £75 a month rent so it wasn't even weekly it was a month and that was really really good they would have really allowed me to stay with her and my mum which was a really good deal but that may not be the case for you and what I will also say before I continue is that if you can live with a family member it could also be an option but I personally wouldn't recommend it because one of my friends did it with a family member and it was not a pleasant experience.
You think these people are members of your family and obviously you come. in the UK they should be happy to like I'll just be in the house but obviously everyone here is also trying to live their life and work like crazy to support their own family and you will be an extra burden on them. they probably don't want to be in the house and obviously because your family may like to pretend or act like they don't really want it but they don't want you there, but obviously if you have family you can stay with that's something you can also consider , but I personally wouldn't do that, but anyway that's another way you could also save money from December to April until I had to move in April because a lot of things happened, she had problems with her.
Mom, the police were involved, she had to move out and peace was fine and the police said, who is this person? why is she? Why should she explore me on your couch? because I was literally sleeping on her couch and he was. Well actually I'm here because I think they set my butt up to leave the house and I was there like I was assisting, they basically wanted me to leave too so from there in April I didn't have a place. to live I was basically homeless and luckily I was able to find a place very quickly because while I was working my boss's sister offered me a place to live but obviously I was still pregnant it wasn't free so I stayed there for like a month until I found a place for my own syringe from december to april i was only paying a small amount of money and queen and from april to the next september like once it was like june july so i went back to like working full time like i was working like crazy i was working like 60

hours

like it was really stressful, but I knew that I had asked when I left to save money for my teaching fees and then what I could even also is that I can pay the fees, so I don't know what you want to go for, what you need, you have submitted your application, so the only thing you also need to verify is that okay, listen, what do I want to go to, they allow me to place like six installments, five instruments, 10 installments. or any other planned instrument, as you could also check that because at my university, the explanation campaign university is delivered in installments and that means that my university sets five instruments that allow you to divide your free

tuition

and like payments into five payments and that's really good because I was able to pay from September to February, but since I couldn't pay all the amounts in February, I also had to ask for an extension and I think I finished playing around May, which was really good.
So that's what you should take too and it was super crazy but even though I was working like crazy on vacation I was saving all my 20 hours like I wasn't paying a lot of money on rent and even when he asked me about the house my friend, she only paid like 200 pounds a month for rent, she was also very good, she didn't say that meant she was working like crazy, but she didn't know that she could only save seventy percent of the

tuition

fees she I had to pay and I had like two friends from my university that even offered me some money that also helped me raise which was also part of the 70 percent that I was able to raise and then they paid me the 30 and my point is that I couldn't even saving all the full amounts on my own even though I looked crazy during the hearing, like bringing your discount, like working as many hours as you want, which is really good, but then you can only try as hard as possible.
I'm not trying to discourage anyone with this, I'm just trying to say that this is how I paid my tuition fees, seventy percent of my tuition fees. I paid for it myself, we worked part time and we worked full time during the holidays with some money and the support I received from my friends at university and only 30 of my strength in the second year was paid by my parents and then we arrived to the last year as if the second year was over, we extended, we couldn't play the full amount at the end of this torturous plan, we asked for an extension, which was really good, then it finally came, obviously, to face it.
It happened that I couldn't record Kobe like when they copied him. I was still working for a while. I was still trying to save money because I knew that shift is like I soon had to put my session first for the last year and I think that. My universe is that the distinction also increases each year, but it doesn't increase, but rather each percentage increases by about five percent each year, but obviously a five percent increase is still a good thing, so what happened was that I was living in a place before one. of my friends shared their room together and washed the room for like £400 each which was really bad because we live in Stratford and I'm not a placenice for ourselves, we were parked in a single room but it was a very big room but money was still allowed to move around, like spending 400 pounds each to share a room like that, not smart but at that time We are trying to find him because that was the only place where we could find my friend and me.
We lived together in Stratford like we shared it for about four months and then we hooked up in the afternoon and I still had my boyfriend's family house for literally a year, so for a year I didn't pay any rent, which was also really a complete me. I mean, you think I'm not over this everyone, but I think that's how I was able to save money because, for example, when I started college I paid rent for three months and then I did it with a friend for a few months and I bought it because I was quite cheap and then when I started cooking I obviously moved in with my boyfriend's family which was fine which is obviously not the norm as a Nigerian it's not what you want to do it's obviously not are you. married but I'm just saying sometimes it's things you have to do because you don't have any other options and I feel like at that time I need to move because I mean I could to save money I didn't have a job because of the lockdown so I was fine no job , no money coming in, I mean, I could have been there working as a cleaner or something, but it would have put me at risk as a cushion, but anyway I need you to my boyfriend's family for like a year and that way I don't I paid rent and when I finally got a job, when things got a little better with Kobe, the mother was there, I was still saving it and luckily, my parents offered to put the scarf on me on my last day and I was like always because although I was still trying to work, save money to pay my finance fees, my parents are still paying for my final year for a long time. short story like first year broadcast please get full payment because my parents in second year taught things I was like oh yeah like before I left and I was like oh you won't have to worry I'll work like a crazy. all this money I will pay for my rent for my maintenance and everything and yes, since I care about my maintenance, I pay my rent, but even in the second year I could only pay 70 percent of my situation and that meant that I was working as crazy, crazy, crazy, but anyway, even though it was like that, all my friends from my first year, last year until now, have paid me myself, so I think when you come to the UK you need to do it.
Be realistic, okay, if I make 20 if I work 20 hours a week, that means I'll only be able to save money for rent, ideally because if you're talking about tuition fees, it's going to be very difficult if there was no video, I was going into my last year, it still would have been the one that had my final edit because maybe like 70 still because I was still, I've been working to save money, but the point is it's very strange. because it's very difficult, but obviously I would still encourage anyone who wants to leave Nigeria or any part of the world or any part of Africa or any part of the world to come to the UK because this is a good place to be, but for me.
Personally, I am very grateful that I left Nigeria to come here because I feel like my life probably would have been different if I had stayed in Nigeria. Obviously, no one knows as we don't know what could have happened if I had stayed in Nigeria. or if I mean, we can't say we don't know, we only know things that are within our knowledge basically, but the main point of this video is that I was able to pay for rent, maintenance, transportation, everything from working 20 hours a day. week, but my teaching part was that my teaching fees were quite difficult to pay with just working 20 hours and even working full time during the holidays, but obviously that also depends on the type of work you are doing because if you come here and If you really like a bachelor's degree and you do your master's degree, then it means that you will probably get a better job, obviously I see my guarantee because there are a lot of people who come here and they still like two million jobs and they finish. like 10 quid an hour, but if you're lucky, if you're one of those people who actually gets a suitable job, a job you like, you know what you did, they told you what your skill and experience is and that would be really good, but It is not like this. always guaranteed, but three people, I was just working as a waitress, cleaner, turn in attendance, all the jobs I did were real and oh my god some days I'll be crying, like why did I do this to myself, like why What did I leave to the ninjas? we go like a couch, yes, for example, when I lived in Nigeria I had my own room for myself I had a private bathroom I had my parents I lived as if no one was stressed as if no one had stressed me no, there are no problems, there are no problems of talents, there are no problems with housemates.
It was a good place to live but obviously you can't always stay at your parents' house, like move out at some point to try to find your own way and I think that's what I did to myself and I'm very good with that. . but my point is that if you want to come to study be very smart about it be very strategic be very realistic with yourself because it is not always going to be very easy you can work 20 hours and work full time in the first few days but that still has to be hard to stay awake, you know, come for your champion, especially if you do a bachelor's degree, but if you're doing a one-year master's degree with a placement here, that means you're working for yourself.
I'm studying for a year and doing a year-long internship for the second year and if you're lucky enough and get a placement that's actually paid, it'll make your life super easy because you know, okay, this is my second year of at university. I'm working full time whereas in my placement I'm not restricted to 20 hours of work and that's super super good but obviously yeah it's wrong according to my title and you only like it and you're only restricted. to 20 hours of work every week and then dreaming at the same time and then full time in all this may not be the easiest for you, but still I tell you don't get discouraged, I keep you achieved, just try everything that you can. as possible save, save the maintenance amount save the first year teaching phase and I hope you have a plan for how you are going to do the rest of your teaching please if you are going to work 20 hours full time with all this and then you have the support of your friends and then you have the support of your relatives because without the support of relatives it can be quite difficult, so as you can work 20 hours, also make sure you have the support of your parents because I am very crucified by your success, but definitely if you want to come to the UK to study, this is a good place to come, so I feel like this is a place where you can really realize your potential, but I'm not even realizing it. your potential if you stay in your country, but I feel like for me personally it has worked, it was very difficult, it was super difficult until, like I said, I would cry, I would say I want to go home or whatever. like why did I do this to myself why why did I decide to leave Nigeria and it means when you come here people think that the only person Japan has has left Nigeria like his life is better now but that's a lie because once you come here, you're struggling, you're working like crazy, you're trying to make ends meet, but people don't see that people look at your Instagram and you post like a nice picture of yourself, like you're enjoying life. , but not?
I know you're just trying to make it look like you really have it but truth to yourself yeah that's not the case but that's a story for another day but thanks for watching today's video I'll get some things helpful from what I said about my teaching fees that it wasn't the easiest thing but it's done, it was over if I didn't take the first step to apply to university in the UK, maybe I was going to be Nigerian. I'm trying to finish my degree. I'm really glad we took that first step, so I think it's one thing for us to take that first step to apply.
I've been planning if you're going to put on a teacher's face and be realistic with yourself. Please come here and with the Plan that, oh, I'm not going to have parents, I guess I'll do it on my own, especially if you're going to do a bachelor's degree, if it's a master's degree for one year or one year with an internship or two years. I think it's still manageable, but everyone is reaching three years and you want to do it alone, it can be quite difficult and lastly, check this out at university. See if it works for you and that will be the end. from today's video I hope you enjoyed today's video thanks for watching and see you next time bye
