, but somehow I got into the whole cleaning game. You can learn all about that in another video, but in this video I want to. to talk about the famous or infamous cleaning trick because some of them suck and actually waste

your

time and money, they don't work but some of them are amazing so in this video I am going to share with you 21 cleaning tricks that really work baking soda plus a sponge equals a DIY magic eraser.

Now when I started my cleaning business in 2006, I discovered this pretty quickly and it saved me a lot of money. I just took a pinch of baking soda and put it on my left palm I had a damp sponge on my right palm and I would just dip the corner in the baking soda, take it off and then go to a wall or baseboard where there was a scratch , a fingerprint, a mark or even a small grease stain and I would always check an inconspicuous area first just to make sure I wasn't ruining anyone's paint. I didn't need to deal with it, but once I knew it was okay, I gently rubbed and made circular motions on the stained area. and then I would take a clean, damp cloth and wipe the baking soda to remove any residue, done and very economical.

Many years ago you may have seen a popular recipe on Pinterest called sunrise miracle cleanser, there were essentially two of them. parts hydrogen peroxide one part Dawn dish soap can now be any dish soap, frankly, although Don works great, just like other dish soaps, the most important thing here is that you treat the stain the same as you would treat any stain so first you remove all the material from the bite first by scraping and blotting always you want to treat a dry stain then you can apply this stain remover product with a cleaning toothbrush brush it gently you don't want to overuse the product because you

favorite essential. oil or if you want something really fancy you can mix a couple of your favorites and just put 10-15 drops of your essential oils or a combination on each cotton ball, then place them in your shoes, leave them overnight and when you take them . the cotton balls that come out in the morning your shoes will smell like essential oils and not cheese, if you're looking for a flexible ice pack those blue bricks won't cut it, instead you can make your own by getting a bag for zip lock freezer and use a two to one ratio of water and isopropyl alcohol, so for example if you have a gallon zip lock bag you can add two cups of water and one cup of isopropyl alcohol when you seal the bag you want to make.

Make sure you get as much air out as possible, you'll be storing it in the freezer and since isopropyl alcohol is isopropyl alcohol it won't freeze completely meaning the water will freeze, the isopropyl alcohol will help keep everything flexible and moldable. Pool noodles can now be used all year round. rounds not just for swimming in the pool, which is something I'm thinking about, especially considering it's snowing where I live right now, but the reason pool noodles can be used all year round is because they are absolutely great for keep your boots in shape and While you may not think this is important, consider this if you've ever put on a pair of boots and they started to wrinkle and crease at the ankles, that's because they don't stay in shape when you don't use them. and if you are investing good money in a pair of boots, I like to do that because I prefer to buy really good boots that will last me for many years instead of a cheaper pair of boots that won't last me, you want? to keep the actual leg part of the boot standing for as long as possible because that will mean the leather will be in better shape and won't wrinkle or wrinkle, so take your pool noodles and cut them to size, make a pair and then when you are not wearing your boots stick the pool noodles inside and it will keep your boots upright and durable to clean the greasy top exhaust filter simply boil a kettle full of water and add your tablespoon of oxiclean to a bucket you're I'm going to put a gallon of hot water in here and this should be a party trick.

Honestly, take the filter out of the upper exhaust compartment and just submerge it in the bucket filled with the solution. I left this for about a minute before turning it over. It is much better than the alternative to replace it if it is stainless steel. The steel mug looks and smells a little strange. Baking soda can solve that problem. Fill the cup halfway with hot water, then you can add a tablespoon of baking soda to that solution, fill the rest of the cup with hot water and just leave.

If you leave it to soak, you can let it soak overnight and the next morning you can take a sponge, bottle brush or even a microfiber cloth, wet it and start scrubbing it well. The baking soda contained in that abrasion will help remove any debris. of those stains when you rinse it you won't see stains you won't smell odors pot washers residents take note this trick actually worked incredibly well and certainly exceeded my expectations so I hope you give it a try grab a piece of tin wrap one up you end up with from cooking, there is a great way to recycle it or a new one, crumple it up into a ball, add some dish soap and water to your pot or pan and start scrubbing, you'll see all that starts to come off, you might like it So much so that you won't want to buy another metal brush again.

As a general rule, whenever I bring home a new pair of earrings, I always clean the post and backing with isopropyl alcohol, so I add a little to a cotton pad and I clean quickly so I feel good and safe wearing them on my body, but isopropyl alcohol can do a lot more for jewelry, now just to be clear, it's not for all types of jewelry. specifically for gold and silver jewelry and specifically for jewelry with stones that can tolerate this type of cleaning, so stones are fine, but costume jewelry and pearl jewelry are not fine, so the good thing is if you have rings on your finger and you put them on constantly. with hand cream, you know they get a little dull and dull, think about doing this, put your jewelry in about half a cup of isopropyl alcohol, if you want to be a little more special, you can add a teaspoon of dish soap, stir this combination. let everything sit for a few minutes, take it out, cover the sink and use a cleaning toothbrush to gently scrub, then rinse and dry and honestly, they will shine like the night sky like a firecracker, just like the day he proposed to you, take your pick your thing, they're going to shine.

Vinegar also helps when you wash clothes and you can use it as a laundry enhancer, so just a laundry enhancer helps the detergent work better so you don't have to buy anything fancy. use white vinegar and you can put it in the little pre-rinse compartment if you have one or you can put it in your washing machine while it's filling with water and just let it soak. Now what I do is I put my detergent in my machine and then I just pour a bunch of vinegar into all the different compartments the bleach compartment the prewash fabric softener compartment whatever has vinegar in it goes in there because it helps lighten or brighten the fabrics depending of the color of the fabrics helps to soften the fabrics and also helps to deodorize them, so if something smells a little bad, the vinegar will help you, so you can just take your clothes, hang them to dry or put them in the dryer and you will notice a difference now .

Don't worry, your clothes won't come out smelling like vinegar. One of the things many of you love the clean my space channel for is the effective DIY recipes and this has to be one of my favorites. It is a multi-use scrub that I love to use in the bathroom, you can also use it in the kitchen or anywhere where there is a particular amount of oil buildup, dirt, soap scum, this works wonders, it essentially replaces what you would call a cream or a powder cleanser, so here we go. You will take a container and prepare the amount of product you need according to demand, so you will not prepare a large quantity in advance;

You will only mix the amount you need and what you need. What I will do is mix equal parts dish soap and baking soda in a bowl. You can add a little water, a few drops here and there and keep stirring until you get a pudding-like consistency. For added fun and value, you can add about 10 drops of your favorite essential oil. Before you throw them in, why not use them to clean your baseboards? The nice thing when it comes to cleaning baseboards is that the dryer sheets will still have some electromagnetically charged which means they can attract dust which is always a good thing when you are dusting, all you need to do is wipe down the baseboards as you normally would with the used dryer sheet and then when it's done you can Crumple it up with those dust bunnies, throw it in the trash and know that at least you recycled a little.

You probably know that in August, Chad and I went to beautiful Sedona, Arizona, and while we were there we did some hiking that turned my shoes from white to red, so when I machine wash them, obviously they'll go in the dryer too. They're machine washed, they have to go around and do their thing, but when they're in the dryer they don't have to go around as much because you know it's loud and it sounds crazy when you're drying your shoes. So there are a couple of easy ways to prevent all those bumps from happening when your shoes go in the dryer.

The first thing you can do is take your shoes by the laces, hang the laces over the door, and then close the door. so the drawstrings are the same and that will have the same effect no matter how fabulous your dryer is if your clothes have been wet in your washer overnight or even for a few hours and then you put them in your dryer your clothes will come out with many more wrinkles than if you had taken it straight out of the washing machine as soon as it was finished and put it straight into the dryer, this is only because, as your wet clothes sit, the weight of the clothes and the Moisture in the water just disappears and starts to print wrinkles and no matter how good your dryer is, like I said before, it won't be able to remove all those wrinkles, so the number one tip is to just pay attention to your washing machine when it's ready move that load now let's say you have some wrinkles and you want to get rid of them.

My easiest option is I just have a clothes steamer in my bathroom, it's super small and compact and I'll just take the garment and hang it on the back of my bathroom door. I have a little hanger that I bought and I'll quickly steam that garment and that's it, but let's say you have some clothes that you want to freshen up and get the wrinkles out, you can actually put them in the dryer with a damp garment, so let's say you have another shirt, it's wet or you got it wet, you can throw all of that in the dryer, turn it on for about 10 minutes and the moisture from that wet garment will disperse through the other clothes and help loosen the rest of the wrinkles, just make sure that as soon as you turn off the dryer, take out the clothes and hang them.

Cars are like little microcosms of our homes. and if you drive a little bit, you're obviously aware of how your car smells now, if you think about it, we're eating in the car, we're drinking in the car, just like in our house, we're shedding dead skin cells. but our shoes often bring a lot of dirt into our cars, that dirt settles and only creates odors, so over time your car can get a little stinky and there is a great way to counteract that: you can simply take some essential oil and let it fall. on the carpets or rubber mats in your vehicle, this is great because not only does it help your car smell a little better and of course you can roll down the windows, but if you use something that is invigorating like peppermint it will really help . it will keep you more alert while driving so in that sense don't use something like lavender which really relaxes you so now you have 21 new tools in your cleaning arsenal that you can access at any time and that brings me to the topic of this week.
