Ranking WAVE 2 of the Mario Kart 8 Deluxe Booster Course Pass

I really like racing games, some of my favorite memories of all time come from a little known classic known as uh

is like my second favorite mario kart so the first round of The dlc came out a few months ago and now it's time to give you my expert, completely professional opinion and thoughts on the second

s, we have a whole new track. With antigravity we got a very good remake of a super circuit track and most importantly we got the return of the king.

Many even the textures on this look much better than what was happening there in the first wave. Now I think I don't even question what I'm driving on anymore, oh sorry, I thought that was a big dirty lake I was driving on, but oh, you're telling me that's rude, okay, let's sort out some clues, no I like this track, okay? So New York Minute is one of the tracks from Mario Kart Tour that was carried over to Mario Kart 8 and like originally when this was shown I was like, "Okay, you know, I'll keep an open mind about it and I thought it might be fun".

I like some of the night tracks, there's the one in the double dash which I can't remember the name of right now and yeah I like Toad's Turnpike yeah so that track is called Mushroom City so usually I have contact lenses or glasses and I still hate driving one night in the rain and I think that's the number one reason I don't like this

My vision sucks, but I like how each of the tracks on the tour so far changes back and forth on each one and I find that interesting. but for some reason in this case I just don't think any of these routes are good, it's not that they're horrible, it's just that it's not interesting and it just doesn't make it fun, plus the CPUs in the scenario are ducks.

and it even has anti gravity mechanics like that's exciting okay , I don't believe heaven. High Sunday is bad either way, I definitely like it a lot more than New York Minute, but I don't really have much to like about it since this whole track is like imagining the big baby park for dessert and that's pretty much what Sky High Sunday is Baby Park works really well because of how overly simplistic it is and how absolutely crazy it gets because you're licking people like four times, it's like a baby go kart at the amusement park, but everyone gets hurt and there are fewer of them. crying and I mean, don't get me wrong, you know Sunday Upstairs has some of that, you know, the crazy festival that is the baby park, it has some of that crazy, but it's not that crazy and you can't see it at all either. times.

Every time you jump off something and don't know exactly where you're going to land, I feel like there's a missed opportunity here. I feel like they could have done a little more with it. I like ice cream. helipad, although I think a lot of people might have clicked on the video, so Mushroom Gorge is a good clue. I think it is. I don't really have any obvious problems with this track. I just don't understand the expectations, I think. It's mushrooms, I don't like them. I've never been a big fan of how when you jump on these I feel like all my momentum completely slows down and then I have to like the runway I'm going to land on.

I think a lot of people like mushrooms and mushroom gorge, that would make sense and I'm sure there's something that's interesting to people about having to continually bounce off these. I mean, sometimes I have fun when you like to land on multiples of those. in a row feels pretty good and you can still do the shortcut at the end, I mean you can, I can't because I suck at this mushroom gorge, it's still fun you know, have a good time, it's colorful, you look at all the fungus. I mean, at least it's not like Vanilla Lake, where I want to get rid of myself so I can escape this.

No, it's okay, listen to me. I'm sure for most people this song is the most boring thing in the second wave of DLC. This is controlled like Super Mario Kart. I'd be right there with you, but because of my stupid, nostalgic little kid brain, I couldn't put this any lower than fifth. Sorry, I saw a comment somewhere about this and I can't. I don't remember where it was exactly, but it wrapped it up perfectly, but basically they said that after a little bit of the madness that is New York Minute and struggling to get around that track and do the twists and turns, there's a certain simplicity and beauty to Mario Circuit 3.

It's almost like I'm coming home. You know, there's a wonderful calm to this track. Here are some colored blocks and some sand and dirt which sounds like a preschool playground, but I'm telling you, friend, on 200cc, this is it. a gold mine of fun moments for the whole family. I can't begin to describe how fun it feels to take these corners at breakneck speed and feel like the track is like becoming one with you. oh it feels so good mate, I love that little bass they added to the song it sounds good. Snow Land is a track that I almost completely forgot existed in Mario Kart Super Circuit and I played a lot of it back in the day, so I'm a little surprised I think this is the best revamp of any Game Boy Advance track from that era because it completely respects the source material and isn't afraid to go out and make its own adjustments and do its own things.

They made them move penguins, they added this nice little loop with the frozen water in the center, there's a couple of clever shortcuts added in there to give it a little pizzazz and look at all this verticality they just added, I mean look at it dude, in that song, man. It's an earworm, I've been humming it every day since the dlc came out, except for one other song, we'll talk about that in a minute, it just makes me want to curl up with a blanket and a cup of chocolate. and watch the nine lives of christmas in hallmark sydney sprint is the best mario kart tour track out there even though I haven't played almost any of them, I love how varied and different each of these laps feels because you're like the first. slap here, which is your standard, you know, here's your city fare and then you got to the second lap that has you whipping along the ocean, lake, river side, I'm trying to remember what body of water it was and I love how this whole section of the bridge makes you traverse at high speeds oh my god it feels so good.

I mean, this track is called the Sydney Sprint for a reason and that's because you're running a lot and I haven't even mentioned the best part. However, and that's the music that sucks that sexual man, Sydney Sprint, I was really surprised and very sad that I'm not sitting in Australia right now with just a cup of Dr Pepper in my hand looking out at the ocean. I'm in a basement in the middle of Pennsylvania, yeah, so I don't think this is objectively one of the best tracks on this wave, but man, I'm human, I gotta speak from the heart on this one, so my bro. and I used to play tag on this like all the time it was like one of our favorite tracks, doing it on one of us would be like having a head start and like, I don't know, go out in the middle of the desert or something and do our best. to hide and we told each other that we can't scream peak and I'm sure everyone knows how good it was and it was so much fun like running down this track because you felt like you had so much freedom, whereas a lot of the other tracks felt so limited, but this one was so wide and vast and so expansive that you could go through the entire desert, you could go through this tunnel, we were run over a lot by the train. because we sucked good, I shouldn't say we sucked, I feel like we were pretty good, we still got hit by the train a lot and keep in mind I'm a complete sucker for a good western scene like I just talked about this. in my live a live video is all thanks to my pop, I love Richard and honestly the changes they have made to this version of the track are definitely well deserved, they are all great, I like the fact that every turn is different.

I like the fact that they actually made the track with the train as if it were its own lap, that's cool. This is one of those tracks where, as much as I objectively want to, I can't separate my emotions and I can't separate my past. experiences with it, that's why it's number two, if you want to put a number eight or seven, that's fine, I totally understand, but I don't have to like it. Waluigi Pinball is as perfect a track as you can find in Mario Kart games. It kind of cemented the whole thing of why Wario and Waluigi have some of the best stages like this, it's kind of a track that really did that for me and I'm honestly really happy that they left this track completely unchanged. because you don't change the greatness, so the only thing that caught my attention in a slightly negative way is that every time you go through the canyon for the first time at the beginning it doesn't feel as powerful now it feels a little mushy and soft, but apart from that, waluigi pinball feels as good here as it has in the past, it's fun, it's frenetic and wildly colorful, it was hell this time, I mean, my god, look at all that neon, it's like a high school rave without all the hormones and the white claw, I don't think I'll ever get tired of this track man and it feels absolutely amazing on 200cc except for this turn, this turn sucks so that's my
