Normally, when you buy a 12 euro ticket to the Colosseum, you get entry to the Palatine Hill and the Roman Forum. That ticket is your standard entry ticket. The ticket costs 18 euros. They are six euros more than the standard ticket. But, for that extra six euros, you get an extra day of entry to the Palatine Hill and have the option to see these seven incredible things that you normally can't visit on your own.

These seven attractions available on this ticket are not all open on the same day. So you have to come for two days if you want to see them all. In any case, if you only have one day, even the extra six euros that allows you to access the extra things that are open on a given day. It is absolutely worth it.
