This week was my first week in the office, you all know first weeks well and let me tell you some things that the Crossgates family will encourage you, by the grace of God. I have bad news before it becomes really good: if you live on this planet long enough, at some point you will find yourself walking among ruins, broken places. Can I get a witness that you will experience the pain of living on this planet? Some things. that just happens and some things you have a hand in breaking up. I'll say it again because they are real things, some things that just happen because you live here on this broken planet and some things that you and I have a part in Breaking because of our own sinfulness that could be emotional that could be spiritual that could be relational the ruins are real the ruins are real we can see them in our country I'm sure we have some in our church but most of the time we find them in our lives if Let's believe beyond something better.

We will have to find this belief in the book of Nehemiah beyond our personal ruins. So what can we learn? I'm going to give you principles and then passages.
