Hey guys, what's Troy going on in Mountain Man? The treasure here and today a lesson on what sells trenches. Welcome to the channel guys. My name is Troy. I am a reseller in Montana. I go to thrift stores and grandkid estate

sales

and buy things and sell them back online at a profit, that's how I keep the lights on. I got a notification there that distracted me. Today we're going to take a look at a couple of things I sold that I heard from people and saw elsewhere. Those things don't sell, don't don't buy them, they won't sell well.

I mean, you can look here at my shipping table, something is done, so here we go, the bunch of things that will come out on a Friday at At least some of this will come out, we'll see, I'll explain that here in a second we have this guy, Detective Comics, bring him here to show you a really cool cover. Riddler appearance, of course, we have Batman in jail, uh, this. this is great, focus here, this is number 377. I like it and we started getting an offer for this one and I think this shows that you don't always have to fight back right away.

Some people say yes, you have to do it. send a counteroffer now if it's a crap offer I'll reject it outright if it's less than 50 of my listed price I'll more or less reject it outright I'll go on with my day I'm going to take a second to hit that button if they're interested they'll be back now . I have this on the list. I think it was about 28 dollars and change and they sent me an offer of fourteen dollars. I just turned it down, they came back later and sent me an offer of 15 dollars. I guess it was over my threshold of 50, but not by much, especially after that initial offer and it wasn't good enough anyway, so straight to Klein is coming in this morning and they sent an offer of 20.

Now, that's a real offer. that that's something I'll at least look at and entertain them and send them a counteroffer because now they're sending me a serious offer, so I responded to all 25. You know what I'll accept? at 22. I responded at 25. because that's where I was thinking, that's where I want to go now, they counted down to 24. and if I want to be Petty, I guess I could say no, 25. that was their last offer. and they could have accepted it, but 24 I mean, they reached out, maybe it was just someone who wanted to win for a dollar at that time, you know, I'm not going to fight, I'm not going to say, you know what?

Gotta win, you pay 25, so I accepted their offer of $24, 24 plus shipping for that guy, Detective Comics 377, from 1968. You don't always have to counter right away, you can still turn that into a sale. I do it. all the time here we have some vintage pins, this is the Z28 and this is a list of quantities and someone came in and bought a quantity, they bought four of them, which is cool. I love selling quantity numbers on those quantity lists, that's always great. 15.96 plus shipping, they paid too much for shipping so I'm going to refund them some of that shipping because they're still going to be sold at the four ounce price so we're going to refund them some of that.

We have some Nikes here, some Air. The Max shoes are not particularly valuable and have been listed for a while, so I got an offer on these for $20 plus shipping. They were 25 26. I don't remember, but they were on the list for a while. Shoes take forever. Sometimes they sell out and take up space, so I took it for $20 plus shipping. This guy is amazing. I love the Painted Ponies trails. Now not all of them are good. Don't go out and buy every Painted Pony you can find because some of them. They're really worthless and some of them aren't worth that much, that's what it looks like right there.

Grand Prix, seems to be a relatively rare Pony and I found a lady who posted a bunch on Facebook a while ago. She posted a photo of four or five of them. She said: You know, I have others if you're interested. I wasn't interested in any of them that she had pictures of, but I said, hey, you have others, what do you have? and she sent me a list this was one of them I bought three of them and I bought three of them for a hundred dollars this is not the best of them uh the best of them is a pretty high dollar that was really the one I wanted but I knew it Yeah If I got more than one, I might get a slightly better deal, so I added a couple to the mix, including the Grand Prix.

I received an offer this morning. They should enable offers. I love it. I got an offer of 65 I had this listed at uh I think about 75 there and I came back at 69 and they accepted it so 69 dollars plus shipping so that's a good deal now we have some Barbies here we have some Barbies I talked about buying some of these the other day, if you saw that video where we sold one basically just by the head, that's what the buyer is probably buying for over a hundred dollars, a hundred and thirty-three dollars. I think it was something like that. which um, these aren't as valuable, right, but they're still pretty good, they're still old, they're still nice.

I'm still working on them. I still have a lot to list. They take a little longer to list them just because I have to do my research. them and doing all the things right and it just takes more time, but they are worth it. This is a scooter. Note that it is a little lower. She is the sister. So the scooter here is from 1963. We have a little yellow suit there and a scooter. it sold for 22.39 plus shipping and then that same buyer saw that we had more Barbies and that's why when you list one thing I should list a lot of that thing if you go into a large number of things try to list a lot of them . back to back back to back because buyers can come in and buy more than one thing, that's what happened here, they bought this one and then they must have seen, hey, you have more, they bought three more.

Okay, so we have this one. it's Midge they bought mosquitoes they must like Midge uh we have Midge here and she has a wig in fact you can see she has molded brown hair and she was made to wear wigs so we have Midge in this cool blue dress vintage. mid is from the 60's, like most of these early 60's, then we have another Midge, she has freckles and titan red hair, that's the color of that is titan red and a very pretty orange dress from the one, I think it's from 1962. what is it and then we have another Midge right here and this Midge is also from 1962.

So all three were sold together for 105.57 plus shipping of course we'll combine it with this one so in total we're looking . at about 130 bucks for those four Barbies, that's pretty cool and one of them really just as a note. On these three, I made sure to include in the listing that the stand was not included in your image. I think you should make sure of that. You tell them it's not included if it's not included. I know some people like on Poshmark like to post a whole landscape that they like. You don't have to stage your photos, at least not for eBay, and it could cause confusion.

I know if this is a doll stand, it extends here and then you can hold your doll there for photos or for display, they work well for photos. I put these three. You know, please note that the stand is not included. I checked before because some of them like the more expensive ones. I thought: I'll stick with the support. I have a lot of these. This scooter I didn't say stand not included so I think you know the buyer can't assume it comes with it but to save the problem I'm going to send the stand with it because it was in the photos and I didn't specifically say this is not included , so be careful if there is something in your images, you notice it is not included or you risk a potential problem arising in the future.

These are the ones I mentioned. You know they might not all come out today because they're not actually paid for, but this thing came from Hawaii Pump Pottery. The same buyer. I picked up three things and we were wondering, they were wondering if I would combine them and do combined shipping and I said yes, once I pack them I can send them an invoice, but you know I can't do that before I pack them. because I don't know the exact weight and I mean these are not going to add much weight but I would still like to have it all together and they told me it was okay so I anticipate they will pay so I was I'm going to show you this right now like this this mug is great.

I don't know, it's weird, it's been there for a while, but I guess they're collectibles from Hawaii and I got an offer and I responded, we're back. Round trip we looked at 15 dollars plus shipping for this mug and this one is pretty heavy, it weighs a couple of pounds once it's packed and all good, so 15 dollars for the same deal round trip on this one, they shipped an Offer I countered and they counterattacked. I counted down and we're looking at five dollars plus shipping for the miniature little red sock monkey and then we have this slightly rowdy guy.

I think this is this made in Japan, let's see if it says a lot of these were made in Japan. I don't think they are stamped, but they were probably made in Japan, just a little tin toy to make noise. Four dollars for that one, so 15, five and four, we'll combine shipping. send the invoice and anticipate that the buyer will pay the form, so it really applies to everything and resale. I mean, Carhartt. Carhartt is a fantastic brand. Some of it sells for a lot of money. One of our best releases was a very old Carhartt piece, not all Carhartt is going to sell.

Not every Carhartt will sell for a lot of money. Precious Moments, for example, Precious Moments does not sell. There are some precious moment sets that actually sell for very good money. VHS tapes, of course, you know you can't make money on that. yeah, you can't do everything, probably 98 of them you can't, or at least not with real money, not with significant money, not like here on the shelf where I have like 2.99 plus shipping on Disney movies. I'm talking real real money that most people would sell something because it's available, it's just not all, Beanie Babies, boy how did I almost forget about Beanie Babies?

Yes, there are Beanie Babies, believe it or not, yes, there are Beanie Babies that sell and some of them sell for very good money. Now you know, don't ask me questions about Beanie Babies because I don't know, I don't know, but I do know that there are some in that first generation that are sold, there are still collectors of that. 99 things, give it to your dog or give it to the child, but there are things that sell, so don't always assume that they don't sell. None of that sells a few things in each category. I think it's worth buying a lot of Barbies.

It is not worth buying old Barbies, on the other hand, there are many that are worth quite a bit of money. Comic books. There are a lot of trash comics. There are comics that will sell for good money. We've sold a few more since I started. I'll see them in the next video, but there are more comics that Painted Ponies sell. There are many of them that are simply not worth that much. There are some that you have seen sell on this channel for hundreds of dollars, so that is the lesson. I guess today there is something in every category that someone is going to pay good money for, you just have to find it thanks for joining today guys.
