I had similar cases like this in the past. I'll link this one in the description, it's pretty affordable. and it's also designed for the airpods Pro 2 case so it has those cutouts which is great and it comes available in black, midnight pink and obviously the one we have here is red.

It has an adhesive that is normally new, this type of silicone. Move this little lever up to release the lines which line up perfectly with the bottom speakers and these also include a carabiner so snap that on to make sure everything snaps back into place, the alignment is perfect, not once have I experienced no airpod case and alignment issues. It used to be a common problem but once it's locked you have to press down to release it and I love the fact that you have access to the back button when you need it so looks wise it's not bad, the locking mechanism looks like it's working now, let's go ahead and do the drop test on this thing, so from the height of my head it did a great job, the latch mechanism did a very good job making sure it stayed closed even during the strong impact drop to make it pass the two story drop, however.

It was kind of funny since it almost exploded with such a strong impact that it actually went under the door so for two story drops I give it a huge thumbs down that it exploded and that's the last one is my personal favorite because its texture is super. unique, literally feels like a rock, the color we have here is their cornerstone but they have navy green and white, sells for 19 and fits perfectly with the airpods pro 2 case, everything lines up correctly, fixes the last , it is super satisfying to open and close and it can definitely handle small impact drops like the ones you just witnessed, but now for the head drop height test, these are the strange results, well, the case came off and came out of the chamber, threw an air pod, so that's a no, and if you think "I'm not going to do a test, I'm going to do a drop test with just the airpod case so you understand how good a case, as a result both earbuds flew out and the case was left completely open and I'm pretty sure that over time a higher impact drop will cause the case to crack easily, so I don't recommend it.
