Exploring Cyber Security Tools: From Cheap DIY to High-Tech & The Future of AI in Cyber Security

May 17, 2024
What is happening in this video? I'm going to show you everything that's inside this bag, um spoilers, there are some hacking

tools

in here with some pen testing

tools

, some Wi-Fi hacking tools and some really

cheap

effective stuff in here that could pretty much any of the two options. Do it yourself and I'll show you some really expensive stuff that I have here, really good stuff to start your

cyber

security

journey and one thing that I've learned is that you just dive into Cy

security

and there's a lot of things that you can learn. Practical and I'll show you some of the tools that could help you learn, so in this video I'll like to put all the things from the

cheap

est to the most expensive and the first things that I'm going to do.

Mention flash drives here. Flash drives are pretty cheap. I think you can get them all. I think I bought eight of these for about $10-$15 on Amazon and there are a lot of free things online that you can download Cali Linux. I definitely recommend you get Cali Linux if you are a beginner because there are many things you can learn in Cali. This one has the Cali installation version, so grab a computer and install this OS on an old computer. It has all the installation stuff ready to go, this is a really cool hacking tool, it's Cali live, with persistence, which means this little guy is basically a mini computer.

More Interesting Facts About,

I plug it in anywhere, boot from here and it will save my settings. and files here, so I can use someone else's computer, plug this guy in, and be able to use it like it's yours. This again is pretty cheap because you can get the stuff for free without connection to the OS. You just choose which one. you want and then having a Windows installation is always good because if you get an old computer that you can't bring, you can't, you don't know the password and stuff, and you need to access it or someone hands you a computer. and it's yours, they want to give it to you but they don't know the password, it's locked, this is just installing Windows 10 again and that's it, so this is the cheapest way to get started. definitely C the Cali Linux way on live boot.

I'll be making videos explaining this later, so be sure to hit the subscribe button on my channel, but this will be the cheapest way to get started: get some USBs and play with them. boots live and definitely Cali Linux this is probably the best free and almost free stuff you can start with it's these guys right here so the next level is going to be these raspberry pies this is a Raspberry Pi 0w this it can connect to Wi-Fi and stuff like that and this one here is a Pico um this one is both basically bad USBs this one is just you can connect this guy if you program it there's a lot of free stuff online on GitHub that Turns this into a bad USB and I think it's only $8 for this.
exploring cyber security tools from cheap diy to high tech the future of ai in cyber security
If you were to buy a bad USB or rubber duck from a hack five, I think it costs between 80 and $90 now, but you can get one for only eight dollars. here now this one is about 25 because it has Wi-Fi capability built in and I did this battery modification to it so I can turn it on, there's a little switch on this guy, there you go, so now this. something is live, I can connect to this on my phone and I can install payloads on this guy and when I get to a target computer or one that I'm working on or doing penetration testing, I just plug it into the computer and walk away and I can Almost any time I have Wi-Fi range I can send payloads and damage any device, so this completely cost me, probably because you don't need the battery bank.
I just like it because I can edit. on the go, just the top part, the RAs Pi 0 W, costs you about $25, so now you're going from $10 or so to $25 and then this guy is in the middle. I should probably have this guy in the middle a little bit. more, but this guy, if you could program it correctly, make sure you have Windows 10 because 11 doesn't really work very well when you try to install this stuff, this is the way to go, this is a bad USB, so basically it's this one plugs into your computer, your computer thinks it's a keyboard or a mouse and it just lets you connect without logging in or any kind of security measures and it can do pretty much whatever you want it to use, could you write a few lines of code and faster speeds and you can do a lot of damage doing it, but again, very good tool and I built this one myself.
I'll leave a link in the description for this type and how to do it. I also have a video on my channel about this device too, how cool it is. It's definitely a great beginner's material because if you break it it's cheap and instead of buying a really expensive and crappy USB, you can make your own and you learn by doing. do it on your own so, when doing things yourself you have to learn with

cyber

security things and in my journey this is what I found out that the best thing is to play with things, breaking things is the best way to learn , so that's the second step, let's move on to the third, okay, now we moved here with a little money, so I think this is about $70 to $80, this is an alpha Wi-Fi adapter, this allows you to connect this. on your computer, so if you have an old computer with a bad Wi-Fi card or an old Wi-Fi card, you can usually only scan for networks on 1.4 GHz networks, not like F Wi-Fi 5 or six or seven. this device allows you to listen to all of them and perform packet injection as well as monitoring because not many cards support those modes.
Wi-Fi cards support those modes, so you'll need this if you want to do any Wi-Fi. -Fi um penetration testing, so this would go hand in hand with c Linux because this works, this device works, this particular one works very well with Cali um and the drivers. I had some issues getting it to work with Windows 11. I'm still researching it, but I know it works pretty well on Windows 10 and it definitely works on Cali Linux. This is the one they recommend for Cali Linux and I'll put that link in the description too, so now you're upgrading. speed here, so you're moving from bad USB to operating systems that already have a lot of hacking tools built in and now you're getting into the finite stock.
Personally, I like Wi-Fi hacking and Wi-Fi the most. penetration penetration Wi-Fi penetration it's so hard for me to say I'm trying it with this guy, I'll do it again and I'll do more videos on this stuff later, but I wanted to show you my kit, my starter kit here of this stuff. I've got it as we go down this channel so this is where I'm at with this um let's move on to the fourth okay so this guy here is a watch but it's a Wi-Fi hacking watch this is the author, um. I made some modifications to this guy myself.
I ended up taking this guy apart and installing a Wi-Fi antenna because the range is pretty bad, but now it's going to be that I can't use it now because I have so much time. antenna which is attached but basically this has a lot of hacking tools already built in so it's like a mini computer in your hand just designed for wifi hacking which you can do you can connect to your phone it gives you a little bit more functionality with this guy, but just by wearing it on your wrist you can do things like deauthenticate packets, you can basically kick people off a network, you can scan networks, you can see what Wi-Fi channels people are using and this thing. it has a lot of good Wi-Fi tools already out of the box so I'm going to do a video on this guy going into more depth on this now that I've made the modification so I can get better range and stuff, but this is Well, I think this is about $80 and $90, so the price is almost similar here, but if you're looking for a device that you want to do Wi-Fi penetration testing and want to understand how it works, this is a great tool to start with this again, the way in what it works when you send a deauthentication packet, you kick someone off a network again, you have to be very careful because, again, this is all for educational purposes, it just interferes and keeps kicking people off the Internet. it's

high

ly illegal um it could be dangerous um don't just do this in controlled environments um especially those that you have complete control over or B you've given permission to do these things also don't do this to your Uh, neighbor, etc., this is just for educational purposes and again, this watch is a great Wi-Fi penetration testing tool for beginners, so then they have one that they call like a Wi-Fi nugget, it's like this device, but a little bit more like it. portable in your hands, um, that one's really cool, but I ended up buying the watch because I always thought it's cool to have devices that you can use with that kind of combination that people wouldn't think twice about, so okay, we'll do it.
I'll get into that more in another video, but now we're getting close to the big ones here, that brings me to my zero flipper. This is probably the most fun device I have because it has so many things built into it. in a small package, so the flipper zero is great because it can do this, it can do a lot, it could be a bad USB, it could hack Bluetooth, it has apps, I mean it has a nice simple user interface, you have the USB defective. can scan uh keys open garage doors um you can turn your TV on and off, any TV on and off really um this thing has uh it has an infrared stuff reader and writer uh let's see if you get a sub gigahertz remote um it doesn't work with Wi -Fi stuff, but you can buy a module that I have, but my dad is soldering it right now because I'm trying to make some custom things. um, you can do Wi-Fi like that, it has all the capabilities of basically. this, but you just have to plug something in, it's called a Wi-Fi board and you pretty much do this too, but in your pocket this is great because you can use your work key like you have one of those cards that you scan. enter a door, this can do that too, you can also write cards, too, you can hack Bluetooth, relock, control environments, it's a learning tool, but this can do a lot.
I

high

ly recommend looking into this further. I would be making more videos on this guy, but this is like the Swiss Army knife of hacking things because he just has everything in your hand, he doesn't do everything very well, he just does a bunch of things. pretty good and it fits in your pocket so this is the one you would carry with you to go everywhere if you want to go somewhere this is the kind you should have so this one is around $170 so it's expensive , but you get so much in your hands charging, it could charge USB type-c, it's a keychain there again, it has what you can, it has more things that you can add to it to make it even cooler.
I end up putting a case on it just because it's in my pocket. A lot. I don't want to scratch it too much. I put a screen protector on it, so it's probably almost $200 all together, but this is a great tool to get started with because it can do so many things that you can put bad USB payloads on it. you can send bad USB stuff over Bluetooth so you don't have to be connected to the computer, you're just close to the computer, you can control its mouse, do all kinds of fun things again. The Flipper zero.
I would definitely look into this. I will put it. the link in the description also for this U if it is illegal in your country, if it is legal in your country, there is some count that this type is not illegal last year, you could not get this in 2022 in United States. Ban shipments of this stuff, but now you can get it. I was lucky to get one this year because they probably won't be available for much longer because these things are so dangerous. But again, I was able to break out a great learning tool. on my garage door with this tool too, very cool and, uh, this one is modified, it has an Unleashed firmware, these things you can get on the Internet, um, there are on GitHub, there are different softwares that you can put on this to do it uniform. more powerful, takes full advantage of all the hardware here, so again, this is a zero flipper, this is probably one of the best tools I have, the next one will probably be my favorite because I'm more interested in Wi-Fi. penetration flavor, oh my gosh, the next one I'm going to show you is definitely, I just removed it completely, but again, this is the flipper zero.
I highly recommend getting this guy because he can do so much that he does a little. of everything and you might find out what you like with this, like oh if you want to do bad USB Bluetooth stuff, Wi-Fi stuff if you buy the adapter, um hack just TVs and remotes etc, this is a device for Really good beginners. I highly recommend it. because you can play with this, you can break it, you can rebuild it, there's a lot of things you can do with this um again, flipper zero, about 100, I think almost $200 for this guy, especially with all the little add-ons and stuff afterwards to obtain it.
Once that's done, let's move on to the last one, okay, so the last one here is this WiFi Pineapple mock 7 tactical, so this guy here hasa really great sticky, very simple to set up, you plug it in, you update it. remote control and once you get into this guy, you can do tons of Wi-Fi penetration testing. This thing has a lot of things pre-built. um, you do deauthentication, you can search for networks, you can clone networks, you can do bad portals. evil twin I mean this thing has almost every Wi-Fi capable hacking tool built in and the cool thing is this is an enterprise model it's like they have a really cheap version um but it's really impo really hard to get and this. one is like the hack five mid range wifi hacking tool so they have an Enterprise model but the Enterprise model runs the same software as this model so if you want to learn and get started this is a great guy so keep in mind this is the tactical version so this one has this device only for 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi networks and this adapter here, the adapter just unplugged, this one makes it so you can do Wi-Fi.
Fi 5 networks, so 5 GHz networks, that's what this one can do, so as soon as I plug it in, there's no extra things I need to do, it recognizes it and then instead of scanning for 2.4, it will scan for 2.4 networks. and 5 gz and it's as easy as plug it in and boom I'm ready to go so again easy nice light and portable it comes with cool stickers when you get the Mark 7 tactical version here and it comes with the bag that's where I bought this whole bag of gifts. This is where I put all my tools. I love this carrying bag, it is very convenient.
Again, this is the tool I use the most. I'm having a really hard time making videos for this because I have to find a way to do it. without showing other people's networks I have to blur a lot so I'm working I'm working on making videos about this I just have to figure out how to do it and how to show things without showing too much if that makes any sense this is a really good and excellent device to use because it's more like a professional use, it's more like a toy, this is like a middle ground because it's more of a toy that you can make like a little gadget.
Things like this. it's more professional use if you want to get into the field like me this is definitely probably one of the best tools for accessing Wi-Fi and network stuff um right here even this mixed with Cali Linux or using something like Wire Shark . like using the two look packets and you can even grab the Wi-Fi password so this can capture a three way handshake and then once you get a handshake you could try to break the hash and get it out. hash to C Linux and have it go through some kind of password cracking or hash cracking software and they have the password to get into the Wi-Fi, but you have bad portals, there are a lot of things you can do.
There's so many things you can do like this, so many things you can learn, so I know I'm rambling a little, but I'm trying to go off the cuff here because again I'm learning too. cybersecurity too, but I wonder why I'm learning it and doing my adventure, maybe it can help someone else because again cybersecurity is the

future

because everything will be connected to a network, everything will be on a computer, um, it's just uh that's how it will be now AI comes for many

tech

nical jobs but there are many things that AI cannot detect and AI will need to be monitored even at the beginning so we still have a chance here you know AI won't take over Everything, we will still need the human touch with a couple of things, but even knowing them is knowing the basic security tools and what you have to keep in mind is what is going to separate you from someone who loses their job later and someone who will have another job, so once you've addressed the topic of cybersecurity, I've heard that too, and even from professionals.
I'm not a professional, but I heard from professionals that you should have these types of projects, so building this type here on my own was a great learning experience and it was a cybersecurity project. This is all cybersecurity learning and like me I have a little bit of everything here and it helps me. I grow every day, so I learn something new. I break something. I don't understand why something doesn't work. I investigate it. I find out the reason why um, same with this guy, so it's just this, this is what's in my bag. I highly recommend just doing it, I don't like it, don't say it yourself, ah, it's not worth it, no, I don't need to get into cyber security stuff or I'm just worried about doing it, just go and do it, it's fun, it really is fun , just be careful, do it the right way, don't hack your neighbors, just sit there and practice on your own stuff.
I have an old computer like the one I have. I have a lot of old computers. I go in and I try to try to simulate something bad, something bad, um, I even did it with this particular watch. I ended up hacking my doorbell, took my package, went in, turned it off and in the end you didn't see anything like that on camera. Fe got it, it just went dark and the package disappeared. Nobody knew how you could do it. You can learn about things like that. Now I am more aware. Okay, so maybe I shouldn't. have my doorbell on a 2.4 Giger network because cheap devices like this could easily do that like if I had a five or six Giger network um that wouldn't have happened this device couldn't affect that at all so So, things like that are They learn well, so now I know that I could tell someone that it's safer to use a doorbell with five or six Wi-Fi connections, six or seven, because of that security loophole when it comes. to these devices, but anyway back to the end here, the cheapest goes from less than $10 to about uh etc, just get a USB and get some of the free stuff online, start working on your own projects here with the Raspberry Pi, zero out the Wi-Fi Adapter now you're getting almost $100 now this is about $100 uh $80 $90 for this watch then the zero flipper again this is a big Swiss army knife of hacking, I guess, because I could do a lot and that's all.
It could fit in your pocket and I think it's fun because you can learn a lot about bad USBs. You could even put the Ducky script in this. It just works. It's a really good tool to get started with if you had a If I had to say if you had $100,200 that you wanted to start with, I'd be somewhere between getting these two devices here, um, I'd probably bet more on this guy because, again, this is more like playing, you can make a bad USB for very cheap, right, you can do it, you could probably even do something with them, but this is the easy way to make bad USBs.
Technically you don't need them, but when it comes to Wi-Fi stuff, this is pretty cool and This is a more fun project like this. I modified it to get more range and stuff, but again, this is nice and easy. I mean, you can start right here. That's how I started with this. I'm fine. I want to upgrade I want to do more Wi-Fi stuff because my car with Wi-Fi doesn't support it I want something that I can have in my pocket and do cool things with my friends and when why am I explaining the vulnerabilities I can show them the vulnerabilities and then this type is what I'm really practicing at CU.
This is what I want to get into. This is where the money is. I think there will always be networks and there will always be ways to get into them. Studying it with Wi-Fi hacking tools is probably the best way to go, so again, sorry this video rambles a lot, but I really want to go off the cuff and just explain how I'm doing. studying and how I'm learning and the

future

is AI, so all those little beginner jobs are going to disappear. You got it, you just need to learn the fundamentals and learn how things work and the best way to do it.
It's testing and using this pretty cheap, this is a cheap setup as everything here is under $500. I mean, no, it doesn't seem like that, but when I went to college, a book was like $600, like a book like In college you can buy all these tools and you can start taking tests and doing things on your own and start honing your skills. I mean, you can go to college and get a degree and everything, but sometimes I find that sometimes, like you get, you can just pass and to get by, you don't really learn anything, you have a piece of paper that says You learned something and then when you go out on the field you don't know what you're doing, so this is the best way to stop that.
I know what you're talking about and what you're doing because it's going to be very difficult to get into this field later on, so thank you so much for listening to me ramble. I mean, this is my setup, uh. I mean, I forgot the patches too. Had a. He had a follower. Make me this patch. I like Ghost Recon, they are separate things. This is also a gaming channel. That's one of the tactics you can use. It's just one of the. It is like. a Splinter Cell class, but they ended up making me this patch, it's awesome and then P five gave me this patch when I bought the tactical gear, so anyway, this is my setup, how I do ethical hacking and pen testing is all that you see here and Again, I recommend you dive in, even if it's something that simple, making a live Cal Linux bootable USB and practicing with that, learning how to disable secure boot and things like that, you'll learn as you do things and if you break things in this area it's not that bad and again even if you break one of these I mean it's just a learning experience you just have to dive in and try so again I hope you enjoy this video please let me know know.
If you like these videos or I'm more relaxed and no, it's not a professional environment, it's more like talking to you individually. Let me know if you like it and let me know in the comments which device. You want me to get back to making the most of my channel. I hope you enjoyed this video. Sorry for the rambling and let me know if you like this kind of stuff and I'll see you next time.
