collection

, so I thought I'd review an

updated

collection

with you on all the mugs I currently have in no particular order, just I'm going to go through all my mugs, this one is from Nebraska and what's really interesting is that Starbucks makes a different color on the inside for the states and everything on the outside of these mugs represents the state or the city that it's from.

This mug is named after it and I think it's really cool, this one is from New Hampshire and I find that a lot of the east coast mugs were blue in the middle like on the inside, but again they have some awesome little things. new hampshire and we went there again in 2020 we marched just before lockdown. Next up is a mug that my friend Ramona bought me on her recent trip to Florida and first of all, I love this mug, it's the only one lined in pink that I found. It was really interesting that it was lined in pink since I know Florida is the orange state I thought, but it was cool anyway and I love this mug.

This is just what I love about these mugs. I love that they tell a story next. state of Massachusetts, so again a lot of the east coast mugs were blue on the inside and again, this is awesome. Oh my gosh, I love this date. We went to applaud when we went here. I loved it so much. Next up is the state of Maine and again I love this blue mug in the center, just as I mentioned a lot of the mugs on the east coast were blue. The price when I turn them over, um at the bottom so you can see it's 12.95 Americans. When we get to the Canadians, I'll point out the price differences for each of these, but again, Maine is a beautiful state. is right below New Brunswick, Canada, we now have Illinois, this is one of the states we traveled through when we left Vancouver Island BC and crossed the United States to move to Halifax, Nova Scotia.

We went on this great road trip that you're going to visit. See a lot of the state mugs are from that road trip, you'll have a lot more, so again, these are awesome little pictographs of the state and what they're known for, what they're famous for, obviously, pumpkins and tripe. They are definitely one of them. Next up is Michigan and another blue inner cup. Michigan again is one of the states we drove through to come and move to Halifax, Nova Scotia. Michigan is also along the border with Canada, so we share many of the same temperatures on both sides.
Summer and Winter Again Apple Blossom I guess it's a Michigan flower. Little things I learn while collecting these mugs that I didn't actually know, so it's a nice Indiana. I love driving around this state. It was very interesting. We were getting closer to the east as we were driving, it was probably the second half of our trip through I love this state, it was wonderful, of course, it had the Indianapolis 500 race car, horses and buggy, you have the bridges, you have the little one. flags and all the different lakes that you have loved and I love this mug.
I think it is a very good pictogram of your state and of California. We drove through California. We stayed in Napa Valley again on this cross-state trip to the East Coast. It was lovely, we actually met some really nice people, we went out to dinner with these wonderful perfectly nice strangers and of course California is amazing, it's nice and warm. We went there again in August. This is a great mug with a red-orange color inside now. We're talking about Iowa, this is a really pretty green color, like a pastel green, dusty green in the middle, there was a lot of corn everywhere we drove, there were some states we drove through, it was nothing but corn, huh, wind turbines or soybeans, that's all.
We ever saw it, but you know, it was really cool and we really liked it and the people every time we stopped to eat were amazing. Okay, now let's talk about Colorado. This very pretty dusty pastel blue colorado is one of my favorite states because I'm a mountain girl, I need the mountains, so anywhere there are rivers, lakes or mountains, I'm your girl, yes I like the ocean, but definitely I'm a mountain girl so I didn't really enjoy driving around the state. Here and it was a lot of fun, well now in the smallest state in the United States, and that's Rhode Island again.
We picked this up in 2020, right before the shutdown, when we took a road trip up this east coast and actually loved Rhode Island. We feel more like Nova Scotia than a place like Maine to us definitely smaller everyone knows everyone and definitely a lot of seafood we loved it a lot Vegas baby it's sin city and this is orange and I loved it now it's not the Nevada cup, I don't think I found that one when I was there, at least not where I was, but of course we chose this one and I love it because it's so different and of course everyone goes to Vegas.
Whatever happens in Las Vegas, stays in Las Vegas. I love it. and again, these pictograms are amazing for this mug, now we're going to Canada and here's one of my last purchases of an Alberta mug, dusty blue in the middle and of course we have the rockies, we have the steak of Alberta. Known for its beef and yum yum and athabasca falls. I've been there, the buffalo, have you ever been to crush the head of the buffalo jump? Yes, it is a place and of course we have a beaver there and that is our national animal.
Now we will be. Speaking of Calgary and Calgary is a very popular city, this one is a little less orange, but still a red-orange Calgary Flames hockey team. By the way, we have all kinds of Calgary. Can I say that it can snow in August? I'm just saying welcome. to Canada we had the stampede, we have meat, we have snowmobiles, you name it, it's there in Calgary. Calgary is a great city if you ever get a chance to visit it. Now we head to Bath, Canada's first national park. A beautiful place if you haven't already. state, I highly encourage you to go, it's a little pricey, but it's a great place to go in both summer and winter.
They have many things to do in Lake Louise. It's lovely. Like I said, tons happen depending on the season. and i definitely encourage you to go see bamf. Now we go to Ontario. This is a beautiful mug. Can I also point out that when I flip this over so you can see the bottom in Canadian dollars, it costs 14.95 cents a month. went from 12.95 to 14.95 depending on Americans or Canadians, that good old exchange Ontario is the center of our universe, it seems like Ottawa is in Ontario, that's how we all know it's also a wine region and now we have a city in the province. from Ontario this is a Toronto mug beautiful blue color in the middle of course we have Canada's hockey team as they say and that would be the Toronto Maple Leafs we also have the Blue Jays um it's a really cool city, it's very busy are you I know A typical big city, but it is a beautiful area.
It's cold very close to Michigan, so it's cold in the winter and very nice and warm in the summer. Now we go to the province of Quebec where Nelson went on his honeymoon. And that was last October, so Quebec City is beautiful. We stayed at the small photo where you saw the beginning of Chateau Frontenac, which is a Canadian treasure. It's now a very, very old hotel and anyway, old Quebec City is absolutely beautiful. I highly recommend going. to visit the city now, to my home province of beautiful british columbia. I love this province. We're moving back here in July, August of this summer.
I'm from the Okanagan Valley as I'm pointing out that's the top of the wine. Oliver's hometown is the wine capital of Canada so per capita there are more wineries and production areas than anywhere else in Canada because it's a pretty small town anyway, lots of skiing I grew up skiing very young . I love this place, go see it right now. go to vancouver island mugs there is a couple this is light blue vancouver island is part of the canada rainforest this is actually the island we are moving to it is not a small island i think it is almost the size from the uk so um We have a lot of things to do if you're an outdoor adventurer, Vancouver Island is definitely for you, the provincial capital of British Columbia, which happens to be on Vancouver Island and no, it has nothing to see with Vancouver, this is Victoria, this is where I actually just went to a couple of weeks ago Victoria is again, as I say, the provincial capital of British Columbia, parliament buildings with peacocks, we have a lot of bushes, our gardens, They are very famous, there is a lot to explore, as well as the empress, go for tea if you have the chance. and now we are going to talk about vancouver, which is not part of vancouver island but rather of the mainland, as we would like to say.
Vancouver is obviously what you guys would probably know from abroad that the 2010 Olympic games were held in the Winter Olympics, so of course we have lots of great photographs representing the whole area. Spring, summer, fall, winter, you name it, there is so much to do in Vancouver. Next, we have a mug that is supposed to represent all parts of Atlanta, Canada. which is sad, they don't have one after quebec, you don't have your own individual mugs, which I think is really infuriating, so we have this one that represents where I am now, which is nova scotia, but as I'm turning this over, you'll see that Newfoundland and Labrador should also have its own cup and I think New Brunswick should also have its own cup and another province, Prince Edward Island.
These are four provinces that I think should have their own cup, but for some reason Starbucks doesn't want to do it, probably just because the population isn't big, so below I only have a couple of cups that are like Canada cups. This one is almost like gold leaf, but has no real color except for the inside. and these are all the symbols that most people know and love Canada and even us Canadians, parliament hill we have moose, we have deer, we have bears, we have the mounted police hat, we have pucks, we have skis . thunder, loud and free and of course you all know us for that lots of snow, lots of maple syrup and this is another one from Canada that is very similar, it has poutine here on the front, which has the same pictures as the last one, but now it's in color so I'm not sure what they did, they probably decided to make a colorful version of course any way to make money and as I just showed you I bought one with more color and one with less color for collectors like myself, but again, it's a great representation of Canada, uh, polar bear hats, yeah, they're not hats, guys, that's a touch, so yeah, this is cool.
The latest to be their collection is from Playa del Carmen, where my parents went before the pandemic. I started and they knew I was starting to collect mugs from our North American trip last time, so they picked this one up for me. I love it. I have been to Playa del Carmen, but this is before I collected the mugs that I love. turtles and of course I love Mexico, I love the water and I love the food and the people are beautiful. I'm going to show you here some mugs that I have in my collection from the "you are here" collection, so this is one less um I guess the graphics are more of a scene, like photos of them on the mugs, so I just have a couple of these, but I thought I'd show you that this is the one in Canada, of course, it's red in the central parliament. building a maple leaf map you know all that stuff Mounty Hat Moose this one is for Vancouver Island and of course it just represents a small scene on Vancouver Island we have fishing we have killer whales and I like to call them killer whales instead of killer whales because really bears don't kill that many people, we have eagles which I miss here, although I see some here in Nova Scotia, I miss eagles on the west coast, as I remember, and then we have Niagara Falls, this was a gift to me from my friend Brita .
Now I could have chosen this exact one when I came across it, but since I already had it, why did I need to thank Brita? She gave me this when I started collecting mugs of things like. Canada, years ago, actually, this was long before we moved, such a beautiful area, Niagara Falls is wonderful and beautiful and then we have Houston again. Ramona lived in Houston. She sent me this again. This is a different collection than mostmine and me. I love it because, again, it just represents the horizon and then we have the space center cowboy hats, the solar oil rodeo, you name it, they have it.
I love this mug and I don't remember how I bought this but it was an Athens mug. I think I was able to buy it at a Starbucks. I have never been to Athens. I don't know anyone who has personally gone, so I should have bought this one. It's been a while, but I really enjoy this mug, it's a nice big mug, if I want a bigger mug of coffee or a cup of tea, this is the one I took and it has a great photo of a lot of the ruins, this is the newer. one for me.
I also went to London, England, not long ago to work and when he did, he brought me a cup. I have no idea what collection it is, but it's beautiful and I've been to it. London many times of course, apartment buildings, we have terraced houses on London Bridge and then I've been to the London Eye, I've been there, it's beautiful, we have the churches and cathedrals in the background, um and, of course, the telephone. stand, so again one of my favorite mugs and one of the newest in my collection. Next, we have a couple of mugs here that are not microwave safe.
I'm going to point it out here because the next two have metal on the outside and I really use these particular cups when I make my tea and drink it. I usually don't have to reheat it, so that's why I just put tea in it and drink it right there because I can't microwave it. It's for reheating or something, but I love this one at Christmas, it's super festive and now they have the Starbucks mermaid. What are we talking about scales? That's the word I'm trying to use, so again, these are little bits of metal. dots in the middle and then there's also a rim on the top metal so this is supposed to represent the scales of the mermaid which of course is the Starbucks symbol that they always use and I love this mug both just to drink. tea we actually now have a couple of mugs that are completely microwave safe.
I have no idea what collection they are in, but I love this one. I usually use this one in the summer, you know, it's outside for a cup of coffee because it gives me something. revive, I love the next one, it's very Christmassy to me because of the color, I love it, but it's also great because it represents what a cup looks like when you have a drink at Starbucks, you have it all. the different places where you can put your decaf and fat free crazy mocha, whatever is right, I love it so much I loved this one because it's checkered so again I like these cups, they're the perfect size and I really enjoy them and these.
The ones that are a little older, I've had for quite a while. I don't really buy this size much anymore because I don't really collect them per se. This one when I worked at Starbucks back in the day 2004 2005. I was the key holder and I think this is like a prized possession because I think only the people who worked at Starbucks at the time received this one so it's close to my heart in the sense that I don't think too. A lot of people have this and yeah I love it so much I think it's super cute it's definitely an espresso cup and that's it guys that's my Starbucks collection and I'm going to grow this collection on our trip from Halifax Nova.
Scotland to beautiful British Columbia, so stay tuned for an update in fall 2022.
